Each character's resource limit is capped at 1,000 with a Tier 1 Storehouse.

You might not want to overcollect though, since with a Tier 1 Storehouse you only keep 5% of surplus resources not used on construction on the build tick.

So if your surplus, after all the upgrades and stuff, comes to say 30,000, you'll only be keeping 1,500 of that xD

How is the clan resource cap set up? Our clan has 50 people. It was 2k then later it was bumped up to 5k (idk how much it's at now haven't been in there for a few hours). Does it go up by the amount of people that visit the citadel?

is there an official tip.it clan citadel?

HYT.

I'm not in a clan so it doesn't appeal me too much.

Oh, nice. I was just about to ask about something like that.

One question: Does HYT clan have any policies against inactive players? I'm not a very active player anymore, but I sometimes log in on a blue moon in order to chat. I'm looking for a large-ish clan where everybody's welcome and you can just chat if you want.

This is not entirely true. According to the knowledge base, the resource is spoiled to a certain percentage (5%), but with an absolute maximum of 1,000 on tier 1.

E.g. if you have a surplus of 10,000 timber (after upkeep and upgrades), you'll start off next week with 500 timber pooled. If you have 30,000 surplus this week, you'll start off next week with 1,000 timber pooled.

The reasoning given in the knowledge base is to prevent larger clans blazing easily through the lower tiers by simply sitting on a large pile of resources.

There's no real policy at the moment, there are a couple inactives and I doubt we'll reach the point that we'll have to kick you from the clan for being inactive. So yeah you can join if you want.

Edit: lep is right, it's unofficial; I missed that the first time around on the quote.

Also I just found out we can do partial payments for upgrades, so it's actually easier then I thought. It's very possible for clans with 50+ people to make it if they devote time to the upkeep. On the other hand if you have a clan of 340 with well planning it'll still take almost half a year to reach tier 7 citadel.

Quite simply, that's not the clan resource cap, you might well have seen this:

screenshot056.png

The Resource Cap at the bottom of that menu is your personal cap, maxed at 1000.

Your Clan total is x/y, in this case 18601/13850. 18650 is the amount my clan has gathered, and 13850 is a target set by your clan leader/coodinator/organisor, basically by anyone with permission to change that target. (13850 is also, btw, the amount needed by the next build tick - next Monday - in order to upgrade your citadel and afford the upkeep of your buildings.)

Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!

So wait, how long has the demo video for Runescape on the splash page been that...awesome? I thought it used to be just chopped up game footage.

There is no official tip.it clan citadel, and claiming that a certain citadel is the official tip.it citadel is against our forum rules.

The "unofficial" HYT Clan is simply "HYT", there's a bunch of highers who can invite you into the clan and I think the only quota we were thinking off is 100 resource ea min' per week, which is practically a whole 10mins. Dount quote me on that though, that's just an idea we were looking at.

They added a Citadel image at the bottom of clan pages which updates every time your clan's citadel tier upgrades. I uploaded the pictures, you can flip through the progression changes on: http://imgur.com/a/HHhMz

As it relates to clan pages, is the Total XP an average like the Total Level and they forgot to label it as such (I doubt that given its high value), or is it just missing digits at the end?

(Picture of what I'm talking about:)

Depends entirely on your clan.

But unless that clan has A LOT of noobs I'd say its missing some digits as that averages to 302k per member total xp.

Comapred to my clan which has 5.8m total xp per person averaged out and we do have a mix of extreme noobs and near maxed players

The game keeps track of the overall xp gained on an account from the moment that account joined the clan (as you can see at the individual statistics). So any new recruit will have its overall experience start at 0. Then when he starts playing that number will go up.

The number you're showing is the summation of all that overall xp gained by the accounts in the clan.

DutchDreams.png

That's the amount of XP gained by your members since joining the clan.

EDIT: Too slow.

1 thing I wonder with citadels:

Will lower resource upkeep/upgrade charges tail off after we get their "upgraded forms"

eg:

Once you have fm and smelt spots will timber and ore costs trail off as timber is now used to make charcoal and charcoal and ore combine to make metal bars.

Plv6Dz6.jpg

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Been wondering that myself...

Making 1k charcoal requires 1k timber...

This means timber has to be available of course, but if I chop 500 timber and make 500 charcoal out of it, will I have contributed 500, or 1k resources?

I'm hoping to know the answer before my article on this is due :D

[EDIT]

If you're not in a clan, but would like to check out what these things are, feel free to pop in the Tal Shiar citadel... We've got an open door policy on this anyways :)

From kb it seems doing 500 timber 500 charcoal = 1k resource filled.

I think costs should tapper off, its logical. If we are upgrading the building we will replace wood with stone and metal logically.

Plus it'd be kinda mental trying to (for example) pay 1k timber, 1k ore, 1k charocal 1k bars for a week.

Cause 1k bars = 1k charcoal + 1k ore

Then that 2k charcoal = 2k timber

So you'd need 3k timber, 2k ore

But imagine trying to co-ordinate clan to keep that in balance?

All you need is 1 noob to go smelt as they wnat tht xp and it throws you off.

Oh awesome. I remember when they first announced the pages they said they were going to have a section that tracked member XP Gains, when I didn't find the page I assumed the idea was scrapped or to be released later. Hopefully someday they'll add daily/weekly/monthly/yearly filtering.

No matter what you may think, you cannot beat my map.

I stole tintin's map, made it slightly bigger than then ADDED A SUPER AWESOME TWO-WAY HUMAN CONVEYOR BELT TRANSPORTER SYSTEM!

All you need to do is step on the green arrow pointing in the direction you will be transported, and you will be transported to the opposite base! It works both ways, and there are incoming and outgoing conveyors from each exit.

The upkeep thing is annoying. Cutting the roots feels like more work than the rest of the things on rs.

This.

By far, this is the most miserable grind in the game. I dislike it more than Agility and Thieving, my two least favorite skills. I don't mind the lower xp. I don't mind doing the work to help maintain the clan citadel. I DO mind the fact that it is so unpleasant - so very UNfun to do - that I don't want any part of it.

I told my clan leader last night that if the next tier's resource gathering isn't less like having my teeth pulled, I might have to quit the clan.

Its tier 1 skill spot so its slow.

There's only 1 choice of what to do so its grind-like.

As tier goes up it should get faster and more variety of spots will make it more interesting.

God, I hope so. Or at least make it more like regular woodcutting - multiple resources gathered over a longer chopping period, or at least slightly afkable.

We're still going to need lumber at higher tiers to upkeep the citadel and stuff.

That sounds reasonable really. I'll probably log on RS later today to join. Got some real life [cabbage] to take care of, though.
