Drazhor
Maybe they'll replace the fountain in the center of the GE with a casino and let more kids gamble for irl money :D It may just be some graphical thing, maybe like a dragonkin attack or something Visit my blog! Platinum_Myr
I agree with you. This is something interesting, and potentially big. Strange that it is in game. I like that world map though! Looks like something out of CIV4-CIV5 This is making me reaaally curious. Truly, it is only a matter of time until Skynet destroys us all. :ohnoes: Quickly, we must send Michael Biehn back in time to prevent the bots from killing Andrew before he was born! Arceus
I get a kick out of it when people haven't yet realized that as a rule you should never be excited about an update in runescape. But in the case im wrong and it is halfway decent then everything went better then expected ;)The great thing about being a pessimist is that you're either right or pleasantly surprised. Kaur
(Google)Translation from French forums:"Mystères et boules de gomme..." "Mysteries and gumdrops ..." "Le futur vous appartient" "the future is yours"(German and Spanish/Portuguese versions are the same as English) The translation is probably a way off tho but what could it mean? Will H
(Google)Translation from French forums:"Mystères et boules de gomme..." "Mysteries and gumdrops ..." "Le futur vous appartient" "the future is yours"(German and Spanish/Portuguese versions are the same as English) The translation is probably a way off tho but what could it mean? Any Frenchman in da house? My grade B in GCSE French tells me that's about right, although I think the second phrase is more accurately "The future belongs to you". "Mystères et boules de gomme" is just a French phrase that means that something is incomprehensible, suspicious or puzzling. It's got nothing to actually to do with gumdrops. I don't think you can really derive much from either of them, they're pretty generic statements. ~ W ~

Randox
As a rule of thumb, Jagex normally saves the awesome updates to be paired up with something they know will have people foaming at the mouth. I'm somewhat convinced that they actually hold them in reserve until something they think people will hate rolls along, so that they always have something good ready to go with it. My only issue with giving the location, rather than making it global, is that 2000 people standing in the GE is going to induce levels of server lag that might make the whole thing unobservable anyway. Also, the last time we had a location specific event is was (a) late (at least to the people who waited in the designated spot), and (b) that god forsaken scavenger hunt. And I'm more cynical than pessimistic. I might even normally consider myself an optomist, except where Jagex is concerned. I'll probably show up though, if only because I am still hoping that they will prove me wrong.
Platinum_Myr
Hope someone takes pics/vids of whatever this is please? (Gone camping!) It would be cool if this was some sort of "show off new items/emotes" thing. Or like show off new player outfits. Doubt it though. Sy_Accursed
Shouldn't be too overloaded, afterall the countdown post does show it as occurring in Cathurby and Ardougne too. Clearly the events page just can't handle multiple locations so they put at at the biggest, most hub-like, naturally busiest one anyway. Plus lets not forget its on all worlds, I doubt too many servers will have all 2000 attending, with how much the average scaper reads the news, let alone the forums prob only get like 500-ish per world spread across the 3 locations.
