And, RS3 is basically just NIS added?

And... When they finally do add full HTML5, as in the "non-beta" version, are we going to get higher AA settings? Because even with the bloom effect added current RS looks better (as I've probably said before).

You know, not everyone is technical enough to build one. Even if you say it's easy some people just aren't meant to touch electronics or parts, or won't touch them.

Divination is not out yet so no I can't Lmfao. Also tone is nearly impossible to read in text.

 

On another note yeah there will be higher AA options when html5 goes live.

If you don't have the time, initiative, drive to learn how to do it right, you're wasting your money building a computer with crappy, poorly researched parts anyway. Unless you just beg on /r/buildapc for a build, but that's another story...

Precisely. I could probably build a stationery computer if I invested the time into it. However, I do play on a laptop and that is also what I ordered now. I'm not an expert on the hardware aspects of computing, far from, and I rather spend some extra money on getting something that I know works than struggling with so many possible errors myself.

A bit more OT; Yes, RS3 will for now only be the additional content (Battle of Lumbridge for example) and the addition of NIS. HTML5 is coming later. When exactly I don't think have been stated as of yet. Probably it won't be too long though. Anyway it is now just one more day. Then RS2 is no more (except for in RS07). I can't wait =)

I think Jagex was in a sort of damned if they do, damned if they don't situation. Probably mentioned in this thread somewhere or in another, but June and July are they really big gaming months. While August is technically one, it's more closer to school starting. Many colleges and some public schools are starting up so if people have that extra money, they are less likely to buy games. So it suck HTML5 will be a longer wait, but I think Jagex did a good job holding it out keeping it in the Beta and releasing NIS now. NIS is looking nice (even with the problems here and there) and those who can handle it can experiment on HTML5 and provide better feedback, which was something EOC needed. I think NIS is why closer to the finish line, so tomorrows release seems right. I sincerely hopes this works out in Jagex's favor, because from what I saw HTML5 is wonderful and NIS has a number of possibilities. I'm willing to give up the lack of other updates for it.

Knowing how computers work today is much akin to knowing how cars worked a few years ago, and even today.

 

Even if you aren't going to be come an enthusiast it is good to know what is good, what is bad, and what is overpriced.

 

Plus people would be more than happy to help you pick parts, and there are more than enough guides on the youtube on how to build computers

I'm sure he's done some research as to what is good and bad. He probably ordered one based on his research of what fits his needs and made substitutions along the way (as far as the company would allow). Also, just because there is a YouTube guide doesn't mean YOU can/should build it. So what if he paid for convenience? You have to consider his time and preferences still.

 

But it doesn't really matter, he has his computer, he seems happy with his choice. :)

So I'm noticing some very peculiar, almost imperceptible disparities in colors and surfaces. The most noticeable difference (from say, yesterday to today) was in my POP on the Blazing Lantern Hull - while typically a deep orange-yellow, today it was most certainly washed out - to the point that I doublechecked to see if I was using a lower tier hull. I noticed the same for certain greens on my boats themselves and my Jade Statues. Also, some things just seem to be... shining differently. Once again, it's barely noticeable, but enough to where I'm sure it's different.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? I only post this here because I assume it could be related to RS3. Or my graphics card dying...

Yep. IMO, if i built a gaming PC it would be a BIG money waste. I'd have to build it 3 times over before i stopped screwing up.

Odds of it being PvP are rather small in my book (or at least not exclusively or forced)

Why?

This is the first big world event to decide the course of the 6th age they want EVERYONE to get involved. A brief sweep of worlds looking at the wildy during non-warbands time is more than enough to show that the vast majority of players either are not interested in pvp or cannot be bothered with it.

I think I was told you will be logged in at Lumbridge, but I can't remember now. At the very least we will be seeing a cutscene upon login, and we will officially be into the 6th age.

 

So I recommend everyone to make sure they have their graphic options set up, and have your music!

 

I actually don't know what things entail afterwards. I think the event fundamentally lasts for the 3 months, so we may be collecting supplies/fighting in the name of one of the Gods (or against both?), whether that includes PvP could be possible I guess, seasonal high scores is meant to track a load of things, so a reward for best killer in the name of Sara/Zammy could be interesting!
