Who on rs uses periods at the end of every line of text they type? Mods? People who don't mind wasting 2 goddamn split seconds to type them? =D> God, can't you accept that using periods when playing on an online game isn't cool? Basically everything you type on rs is what you are saying, not writing. I use periods here for example, but not on rs. Some guy with a bgs eventually said he'd lend his, but he said he wanted the 10k first. I knew this was an obvious scam, but I decided to play along, with this thread in mind. I put up the 10k, and we both accepted. Then at the next screen, I saw him accept. I Clicked decline. I guess he was just waiting for the screen to dissapear and he would take that as the time to leave. As soon as the screen went down when I declined, he broke a teletab, leaving with the word "Ha! Noob!". I still had my 10k, and I imagine he felt like an idiot. This post was intended for the Almost Scammed thread, but that either doesn't exist anymore or I can't find it. Also, by using your logic, typing in "hello, nice phat." should be "hello comma nice phat period" You sound like you're saying that you get to decide what punctuation is "cool." It's a freaking period, it doesn't say anything about the person other than the fact that they know what a period is and where to find it on the keyboard. And honestly, if you read something in your head as "hello (comma) nice phat period" you have bigger problems than a few WBMs. Also, we're all playing an MMO. I think most of us lost the coolness race as far as non-gamers are concerned. And just because you brought up that what we type in Runescape is more "speeaking" than writing, yes, my thoughts come with periods. And commas. And apostrophes. And even ellipses, colons, and semicolons.
