In my short time as a player I've seen the addition of slayer, farming and construction. And now hunting has just come out this month. What was the original skill set? another clue as to who the editor is? anyway i reading that made me really want to play classic. I started an account when i was a noob on rs 2 but prefered the new graphics and skills etc, so i abondoned my account :( i think jagex should implement at least some zones of the wilderness with this 3 stage rule thingy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I wish the best of like you find one before you quick. I was extremely lucky and have met upon a group of very good nice people. Communities are no longer presented, they have to be made now. My tip would be to find a friend or two you know very well as a friend, talk to them about them, and then they introduce one of their best friends. Choose only the best. Not statwise, person-wise. Then the group spreads on. Occasionaly fun meetings, such as trawler or merely grouping up to chatter (Rogues den is great for this, or fishing if you're in an odd bunch who enjoy it) Nice read, Thanks!! I think people enjoy plaing what they are used to. People like Gregechidna6 like classic more, because it is what you're used to. However, the 220 thousand people playing RS2 right now like it because it is what they are used to. I think getting 99 in any combat stat is hard now... There were three servers with a 300 people limit, and usually only a 100 playing at each. It was a very different game back then, it just swallowed you up completely. I remember wandering off to the Lumbridge forest right away and coming upon a strange and haunted house. A quest! I spent a VERY long time in that house... I really enjoyed the article, it was great! I remember when RSC was available to F2P... I tried it, and sadly got incredibly bored of it after a while since it was very difficult to do just the Tutorial Island section. It really made me dream back to the old days :) Like other people have said: I could not agree more on your views about the downhill of the Runescape community. I don't know if my memory glorifies the past, but as I remember it, back in the first couple of years in classic, almost everyone went along. Everyone knew each other and "lived in peace and harmony". I remember the early days when I was in awe of players like Tks, Bluerose13x, and Zonghui. I remember when I bought my first r2h. It was the best weapon at the time and I bought it for 150 k, which was an incredible amount of money at that time. I remember having fun powermining with the "gang" in Dwarven mine. I remember how happy I was the first time I became a member. Jagex had just made it possible to become a member and gain extra benefits, and it was just.. :) I like Runescape 2 because of all the things you can do, but at the same time I still miss Classic.. Bluerose13x was one of the first, if not the first, player to reach 99 smithing, and thus was the first to be able to make rune 2h's, plates, and legs. If you had a 2h in the old days, it might as well have had Bluerose written on the hilt. Of course, this made Bluerose very popular, and was the fuel for many a conversation. I guess I was lucky to see what it was like. I started in February 2001 because my brother was a Sabre. When I came quit and came back in 2004, I decided to stay with RSC when RS2 was made. Now that game and all that's left of Runescape's golden age is dying, slowly but surely. No thanks to Jagex, the people who locked the game to all new players... :wall: Ah well.
