I had a question concerning barrows. I've heard from many people that the salve amulet gives you the bonus. Is this true? It would seem correct since salve amulet gives the bonus when fighting undead (and the barrow brothers are undead).

Yep it does, I querried Jagex a long time ago about it. But I don't think it will help with range/mage but for melee it does. :D

They told me that the ammy wouldn't affect the brothers.

strange... but now confirmed it works yay!

Try this:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Use whip on something until you find your max.

 

 

 

Use salve amulet on something until you find your max.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Go to barrows with salve amulet. If you hit something higher than your max without amulet, it works.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And make sure you're wearing all the same equipment.

So it does work now...

it definitely works. I dont' have hard data, but i hit more often and had a higher max hit. I'm certain. (I used it with veracs.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

edit: as a basis for comparison, I wore a glory amulet and verac'ed the brothers. Then I discovered the salve amulet and found it worked much better.

this must be a hidden update or just wrong information all together. I have seen posts from jagex stating salve amulet doesn't work on brothers.

Guess it wouldn't have helped me in the past because I mostly used Magic and Range. Will try it when I go back using Verac's.

Why would this work but crumble undead does not work? (atleast last I heard, crumble doesnt work...)

I've tried Salve, didn't effect my max hit using Veracs, and no noticeable difference in accuracy

i use veracs all the time for barrows (by the time you get a drop with it it pays for itself(repairing wise)well time for hopes in warspear#3)

It's always worked. It only affects MELEE. It does NOT affect magic or range.
