Do you report your friends?

If you'd choose Jagex before your friends, then you have a problem. What good would it do for your friendship by reporting them? How would it negatively affect it?

I would never report my friends for anything, but i like to threaten them that i will when i hear they are or will be macroing lol, i don't want them getting stuff easy and poor little me chopping and rcing away lol

no i would never report them and i expect the same form them. most of the people that i am friends with i have knowen them for 3+ years some even more and over the years they have probally broken every rule that jagex has ever made but there still here =D>

I would never report any of my good friends.

 

I choose my friends very carefully and am 100% sure they would never do something bad to me, like scamming or hacking.

 

I also rarely report new players, who most of the time don't realize it is against the rules (asking for personal details for example).

It really depends on the offense. If a friend tells me a dirty joke or something, then no. If its scamming or buying gp for rl cash, then yes, i probably would. An example, I actually had a friend who admitted to autoing on his way to 99 mage. TO me this is unacceptable, regardless of our friendship. I told him it was a bad idea, and he ignored me. I reported him and he was banned, and to be honest, I didnt feel bad at all. People like that ruin the game, even if they are your friends.

It depends, for offensive language, if they are my friends, then I know that it is a joke, but if they scam me, then I would report them because they wouldn't be my friend anymore lol.

 

 

 

I couldn't ever report a friend, because if a friend does something serious enough for me to report them, then I probably don't want them as my friend anymore anyway.

Well, they can't be your friend if they scam you, so of course I'd report them.

 

 

 

If I can't at least get the item back, I'll for sure make sure he'll be punished for taking advantage.

 

 

 

I wouldn't report a friend if they did nothing to me though. AKA swearing in general etc.

 

 

 

If a friend reported me though, I'd immidiatly assume they were no-longer a friend of mine. Friends don't report friends, and if they do, they aren't your friend.

My friends don't do anything that bad, and i have no problem with them cussing to/at me so I don't report.

 

 

 

I do like to scare them and say "reported" after they curse/admit to breaking rules though \

They arent really your friends if report them. As a matter of fact if wouldn't be playing if some people on my friends list quit. So the last thing i want is them to get a ban because of me.

 

 

 

Obviously if they scam you or just do somthing horrible that stops you from being friends I would report.

only if they scammed me or anything else which negatively effects me, because they wouldnt be my friend anymore, friends > jagex. its not something to joke about, i delete and block people who even joke about it because i dont want to talk to people who consider the game more important than a friend.

this was resolved a long time ago... i was reading and posted alot on this thread when it happened

 

his friend was a lawyer and bought alot of stuff

 

he ended up reporting him because he didnt want his friend to keepp wasting his cash and his account got banned for 2 weeks

Tbh, no. They are my friends, i joke around with them all the time ect. What would be the point in you trusting them (or vice versa) if you reported eachother?

No. The only time I'd ever report my friends is if they scammed me (which would mean they probably aren't my friend anymore anyways.)

 

 

 

There's soo many things people say to me daily that I could easily report them for but I honestly just don't care. It's not a big deal and it's pretty stupid to report your friends.

 

 

 

Your friend bought an account? I'm glad he managed to buy one and keep one. You reporting him would be the "right" thing to do but he's also your friend and I know I'd never do that to any of my friends. All you're going to accomplish by reporting him is getting him banned, losing your friendship, and him losing his money that he paid for it.

However i wouldn't hesitate to report someone i met on rs if they tried to hack /scam me.

before i report anyone for something minor i give them a warning and ask them kindly to stop what they are doing.however if anyone friend or not does something more serious such as scamming or advertising a website that sells rs gold for real money i report them without warning and with no exceptions.i also never tell someone when i report them i find it stupid and childish and it only makes them argue with me about why i reported them. O:)

I manage to play the game without breaking any of the rules, so should everyone else.

 

 

 

Besides, the only person on RS that I know IRL is my brother. He wouldn't break any rules and is never on anymore anyway.
