RS Dreams?

in order to break up the flaming...heres an interesting fact about sleeping!!!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

did you know that when you enter into a state of subconcious(aka sleep) your body is paralized from the neck down!!(excluding nesisary functions)..and that people who sleep wallk have a disorder that doesnt imobilise the body. the body will "ghost" walk through what their subconcious is thinking about, or what they did that day, or what they have an urge to do but normally constrain themselves from doing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

basically when you sleepwalk your body can react and function with the real world but you wont remember it because you are not in direct contact with your subconcious mind.

also there are other "disorders which i have" where you can float between concious and subconcious. you are immobilized like in subconcious mode but still have concious thoughts. this allows you to take a look into yourself and you can play through different events in your mind. the fact is that your memorys can be accesed through the subconcious that normaly cannot be accesed through concious. you can remeber feelings that you normaly wouldnt realize and your mind can fill in gaps with logical explanations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

in a way you do control your dreams in certain staits where you are aware that you are subconcious, but normaly when you become aware you bring your self out of subconcious. these few seconds or mili seconds can seem like a few mins or a few hrs because of the speed neurons fire in your brain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the reason for the immidate awakening from realization that you are dreaming can be explained by using the theory of diferenciating brain waves. the subconcious has a very small brain wave because it is only recaling memorys. the concious has a larger brain wave because it is recieving signals from all of your senses. when you realize that you are dreaming the larger brainwaves trigger your concious and you come out of the dream.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also the statement that dreams are out of your control is an oxymoron. Any dream you have is produced with your own memorys. what you dream can be either a recollection of events, or what you subconciously would have liked to happen. people who dream that they find 1million dollars have a subconcious want for that money. With the players of runsescape it is much different. Everyone has proby dreamed about finding vast sums of money, but not that many of us have probly ever seen that much. where as in rune scape the players have seen the mony or the item and are able to construct different dreams that show their subconcious(and often times concious) desires.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so by all means believe that you have no choice in what you dream about.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

just watch teletubies all day for a week and tell me you dont have nightmares about them.

I have had a few short dreams where i just begin red barred in my gear and fire cape, since losing my fire cape has been a fear of mine for a while. (i just don't feel like going through the mini game again).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The most memorable is probably i dreamt i was in a task change for slayer in lumby caves. Some rich guy came in without lamp and dropped some armor and a yellow p-hat. As soon as it was on ground i picked up, and woke up, felt pretty real :shock: .

I had a dream, where for some odd reason, I was fletching mage longs in lvl 55 wildy. A whole army of pkers came, and I picked up one of my bows and it turned into a blurite sword. I thought, "WTF?! This is the most noobish sword I-" Then, a spear impaled my character ( probably guthans) and my sword slipped from my hand. Strangely, my body stayed there. I got up and pulled the spear out. I started hitting the pkers and my hitpoints started to go negative. With every damage point inflicted, one of their combat lvls diappeared. I picked up all their stuff and homeported. I was lookign forward to selling this stuff, then ( I learned this from my mom when I woke up), My cat crawed in ym shirt, I was still asleep, Then plunged its claws into me! I screamed, and my mom ran in. She said, "What's wrong?" I replied,"One of them Had a party hat! WAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!"

RS Dreams? Give me a break. Dreams are supposed to be about pirates and ninjas... Preferably Ninjas kicking pirate butt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I mostly dream of people and places*, though I will say that dreams tend to follow those things you're often anxious about: so if you REALLY want to get to lvl 85 mining for example, perhaps rune pkers or even Rock Golems may show up in your dreams. My advice? Dream of hot chicks/guys... it's way more fun.

i had a dream in rsc, that me and me firend where collecting santas on christmas day. me and my friend would be in wildy killing these dragons, collecting ahts, while me bro and friends sis carted them back to bank.

Never a complete dream but part of an extremely eventful dream once.

 

 

 

I was running through a cave with a lit 'torch' and heard loud scuttling behind me, I turned while running to see the KQ chasing me (a scary thing to see 'irl' style!) so I kept running through this cave with stalagmites and stalgtites around and making obstacles. I saw a light patch on floor ahead so run and dived for it, squeezed through but as I got through it went into RS overhead cam style with a full RS screen and got through the gap and under a gap RS agility (think Gnome Course Tunnel at end), I was in Veracs with Guthan helm lol. I got out the otherside and was on a cliff...(rest of dream continues here).

Oh yea. One more dream I had: I visited my friends house, his sister was playing runescape (she's like 10 now I think...). She gets attacked by an evil chicken and I tell her to run, instead she attacks it: It's level 695, and it's showing up as green to her (meaning she was at least 702). That's when I woke up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two weeks later, fight caves were added. Kinda bizarre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for everyone who says there's a problem with dreaming about computer games: people dream about EVERYTHING. I've always hated warcraft, never even tried to play world of warcraft, and somehow I had a dream about it anyways.

My friend is studying this as his minor right now, so he's told me all about it

Lucid dreadms are rare and they allow you to control your actions and thoughts, even allow you to wake up if you feel like it, but it dosent allow you to control what you dream about.

I had a lucid dream two days ago in fact, the dream was incredibly vivid, and pretty long so i wont go through all of it. Anyway, i was falling to my death, and dying in a dream isn't fun from apst experience, so I suddenly thought "this sucks, i want to wake up" (this was the part where the dream was lucid) but right before I was going to do so, I thought that maybe all fall into some big bushes and not die, and I did a moment later :lol: so I didn't die.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm pretty sure I had 2 runescape related dreams, but I dont rmemebr what happened in them.

Dreaming is your brain going on screensaver, so if you play RS a lot you might dream about it cause the images from RS are stuck in your brain. Just like Leesters' dream about the Dag Kings, he goes to the Dag Kings a lot so the images of the path there and fighting are stuck in his head so he dreams about it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OnTopic: I don't think I have ever dreamed about RS. Leesters' dream sounds entertaining, especially to people like me who have never been there in RS.
