Santa hats and Santa suit

In the guaranteed content poll, it asks what reward we want for this coming Xmass.

The santa suit is winning. Will this [bleep]e up prices for santa hats? MAybe, or when people find out how it looks, if it doesn't match the hat they will drop alot

Santa suit would be nice, hopefully it will also drive prices up, still got a santa wich I'm willing to sell for the right price (bought a loooooooooooong time ago for 21.5M, good deal back then :P )

Agreed, masks looked better in the oldest version of rs2, when I started, and started to get fuglyer since

well i think that most santas are int he hands of collectors(aka: merchants) because i know that there are A LOT of santas out there and even in worlds with generaly higher level'ed/ total level'ed players(such as w99) i only see about 1-4 santas in the cource of a week

I personally dont want a santa suit :( Jagex should allow us to choose between, oh maybe 2-3 rewards. I myself want that icicle sword :thumbsup: .

But yea, when it does come out, I doubt people will buy a santa JUST to go with the suit. Seems like a rather large waste to me.

Yeah I wanted the boots that look like presents... I wish we could choose between a few too.. and maybe change them later? Idk. But we would only be allowed one at a time. :P Maybe they'll use them in future years though. I really want those boots. =P~

Depends on the people. Some skillers would probably want to match and would buy it. On the other hand, people who mostly train combat wont buy it because they would maybe not wear it at all.

rofl the word suit means complete = so its likly to included the hat, but with a twist. as it wil be a suit and i know jagex, i gues the suit will be all this in 1 thing:

hat, torso, legs, sack, and maybe the other things(boots etc.)

Like said, the santa set most probably has a slot for head (beard). But maybe someone wants to use a santa hat with the santa suit, but they soon realize that rares are worthless.

If the suit looks good with the hat, I could see it [bleep]ing up some, but I wouldn't think anything huge.

I think this will be huge for santas, despite what everybody else says. Merchants will take advantage of this, and santas will be selling for max price for a few days before the update, and maybe a week after the update. After that they will either sink back past where they are now, or may hover a few mil over what they are now.

I just hate that every freaking merchant in the game voted for the Suit just so they could make a profit off their Santas. Now the rest of us are stuck with this pretty bad reward. -.-

People want suits because they think it will have a free hat. Though on the thread to suggest ideas, (icicle sword was mine \ ) Jagex said they will not be recreating/redroping rares so in the end we will end up with a santa suit that nobody really wants just because people thought it would come with a free hat. I'd love to see my idea win but if people think they will get a free rare no one will vote for me.

IMO - if the Santa suit won it should be a COMPLETE suit, ie. Hat and beard (as the head part), jacket, trousers, mittens, and boots and obviously like all recent holiday items - UNTRADEABLE.

In other words it could collapse the market in existing santas with no comeback on Jagex as their players requested it :lol:

and tell me why you wouldt toss a -100 sword that you can look thry in the bank. why is hat sword less useless then a santa suit?

i would trade a whole partyhat set for a blue mask from rsc

anyway, the santa suit is sure to look ugly and only morons would pay more for a santa.

They should have a head slot in the suit, so Santas can't be equipped if it wins.
