  1. Damn, that sucks. :( I wonder how they got past your PIN? Edit: seeing that you haven't logged in for years, the hackers probably let the PIN expire. If it makes you feel any better, I lost 50 Santas hats and 30+ masks when I got hacked for the first time (back in April 2003).
  2. Good riddance, Osama. Game, set and match.
  3. I've heard that answering your recovery questions will kick off whomever's that on your account. That was years ago, though, so things could have changed.
  4. I recently paid out a 200k bounty for the death of a looter. This got me thinking: what if RuneScape had an official bounty system? Bounties were actually quite common in the early days. However, they were often taken with a grain of salt because a lot of people would not pay them as promised. Here, an official system would make it impossible to renege on a bounty. To post a bounty, the player must speak to Mandrith, who used to oversee the Bounty Hunter activity. Bounties would be subject to the following rules: 1. The bounty must be a value between 5,000 and 1,000,000 GP. 2. The player who the bounty is placed on must have visited the Wilderness within the last two weeks (to prevent useless bounties being placed on people who never venture into the Wilderness) 3. Bounties have an expiration time determined by the player (1 to 168 hours). 4. The player must deposit the bounty with Mandrith, and it cannot be withdrawn until the bounty has expired. 5. Players can have a maximum of ten bounties on their heads. 6. F2P players can have five active bounties assigned at once, with ten for members. 7. All bounties on a person's head are cleared if the person is killed by another player in the Wilderness. 8. Players are not told if they have a bounty on them. If a player kills someone with a bounty on their head, the game wouls notify them. For example: A bounty system would make PvP a little more exciting for some. It's also a nod to the post-December 2007 players who enjoyed Bounty Hunter. What does everyone think?
  5. There should be "noters" that are placed near dangerous NPCs. That way, we can kill bots and take their stuff. :D
  6. I got a rather decent kill the other day: 5,195 raw tuna and 4,532 raw swordfish. So I guess good things do come to those who wait. By the way, the 200k bounty on War_Of_Dark has been paid. Well done.
  7. I've noticed that the prices of every god page has increased by an order of magnitude over the last year or so. Does anyone know what has caused this?
  8. Guess what happened? Lol. <snip> Not sure if the pictures are too big ._. On topic, it's kind of sad to see bots being able to keep their stuff -.-" Now bot killing doesn't work well for Tzhaar.. Sad. Gl bot killing.. My best was at cows since I am f2p. Bot slaying... Arg. Nice job. Too bad she didn't drop the noted lobsters that she looted. Anyways, is your username Orefist? I'll give you the 200k as soon as possible.
  9. You could always use Facebook. Remember that schools have no control over what you do in your personal time.
  10. Anyone remember the "tell" and "setpass" commands?
  11. Here's another one: if you do a search for "RuneScape hallying," Google automatically "corrects" it to "RuneScape hacking."
  12. I think S H A R K was the first player to mine adamantite. Dmonik was definitely the first person to mine mithril ore, though.
  13. I actually find touchpads to be much harder to use than mice.
  14. Not too much, except we won't get their coins or other "less valuable" items.
  15. I remember when we only had one world, and only 250 players online at a time.
  16. You attack the scorpions and get them to follow you to the area where fish are noted.
  17. Today was a mixed bag. I was able to get four bots killed, which is a new record for me. It wasn't very rewarding, though. The first bot dropped 1,192 raw lobsters, which was about average. The second kill was looted by a level 122, and all I got was a single raw tuna. Not to rationalize, but I suspect that the looter was actually a bot herself. She had her private chat enabled, but she never responded to me when I politely explained that it was rude to loot someone else's kill. The bot I killed droped both noted lobsters and tuna, yet the looter only took the lobsters. I don't think it's because I beat her because I didn't notice the tuna myself until a few seconds later. I do know that some bots are designed to pick up valuable items, so it's not that far of a stretch to believe that some bots will look for collapsing graves. On the other hand, she did seem a little human-like when she waited next to me, so it's very possible that she had just happened to return to her computer at that time. By the way, if anyone sees War_of_Dark in the Wilderness, please kill her; I'll give you a 200k reward (the average worth per bot kill). Anyways, the third bot had just started, so all I got was 52 raw lobsters. The fourth bot came back just 15 seconds before the grave collapsed, and I ended up with a whopping two lobsters. Hey, at least I got something, right?
  18. Mod Poppy confirms that this is real. I've got to say - there are so many scams these days that it's hard to tell whether something is legit or not.
  19. So far, I've killed 11 Karamja bots and collected about 17,000 tuna, swordfish and lobsters. That averages to just 1,500 fish per bot. It's pretty low compared to what many others are getting, so I suspect that some bot owners have gotten smart and started banking every few hours. On the other hand, there seems to a lot fewer looters now. :)
  20. It's still possible to kill bots for their loot; I just got 1.4k raw lobsters off one today. The update only means that we won't get their coins or "low-value" items.
  21. Phew! I'm glad that the glitch turned out to be fake. The video was probably recorded on a private server and not the actual game.
  22. The vexillum doesn't seem to work too well against the Karamja fishing bots. Anyone got any good ideas?
  23. Does the vexillum work against the Karamja fishing bots?
  24. I did click the link. My login screen showed me that my e-mail was registered.
