8 Aug. 08 - Wallie Subscriptions and 22 New Runescape Worlds
Returned3 replied to Beethovens29's topic in General Discussion
This made me remember how years ago, there were a few Singaporean servers but was closed due to extreme-laggy-ness and overpriced costs. -
Case A: You slip and completely fall off balance, giving yourself a nice face plant on the concrete floor, amidst a crowd of friends and strangers. What do you do next? I'll most likely smile and laugh at myself, get up and walk away. (The laughing really lowers the embarassment) Case B: You get caught staring at a woman's bust/man's region who you know and are confronted with: "WHY ARE YOU LOOKING THERE?" How do you respond? I'll just say sorry. Case C: You're walking in a cinema, and all of a sudden you try to go around an area and stupidly run into a barricade, and a group of teenagers repeatedly point and laugh at you. Same as A, I'll laugh to myself and walk away. Case D: You're kissing a girl. (Assume this is your first time) Even though they have accepted the notion of love, it is very stiff and un-natural. An awkward silence follows. What do you do or say next? "Umm, how did it feel?"

I brought a can of axe and a lighter to school to play "Pyro" for awhile and my friend managed to find a huge piece of paper (called Majhong Paper here) and I started to burn it. All of a sudden, this paper starts being blown to a nearby wooden shelf made by some students in my class and it caught fire. Another friend immediately took a pair of scissors, rushed to the fire-extinguisher outside, cut the safety wire, pulled the pin and basically unloaded the carbon dioxide onto the wooden shelf. Unlucky us, the Discipline Master was walking past and I think that noticing the huge amount of white smoke, he came over and realized that we were "playing" (According to him) with the fire extinguisher. My friend got detention til 6pm while me and the other guy acted as if we were innocent. So yea.. didnt get caught. Moral of the story is "You can do anything as you please, just don't get caught". I'm a bad role model, I know.

Watch videos that have swear words in em' - I don't feel comfortable when a guy goes yelling [bleep] [bleep] while my parents can hear it. Imagine I'm a wrestler and do poses infront of the mirror - Yea, always been my childhood dream. Would be embarassing if I got caught though... I'm generally more silent when Im alone as opposed to my "Rebellious" self when hanging out with friends, but hey thats a common thing, am I right? :D

The feeling which you explained is bad, but not everyone can go GWD'ing etc. and make millions a day. Im not a rich guy and Im sure that there are thousands more who would be glad that something worth so much is dropping now that we actually have the chance to purchase it. And not all of us just sit and wait for the sky to rain money, some of us are actually earning small amounts of cash time by time. Infact, you should be appreciative that you can have the luxury to go kill Boss monsters (If you do) and hunt for good drops as there are quite a number of people who cant do that, and I know you're probably gonna say "Then train your skills and go", but even you were one of "us" a long time ago before you become a professional in this game.

The lower Guthan drops, the better for people like me who dosent earn 10m a day.

5 August 2008 - Resizable Game Window & Meeting History
Returned3 replied to Xecer's topic in General Discussion
I must say, "Meeting History" quest really helped revive the "player inside of me" feeling which was comparable to many years back when I was still new to Runescape and many things really were enjoyable to me. Whether it was the fact that I did the quest without a quest guide or not, I found that quest to be particularly interesting and its possibly one of my favourties despite the reward. If Jagex continues to release such contents, I'd definitely go back to no-lifing Runescape again. -
*Sigh* Those were the good times where Ankous were actually very profitable and exciting...

Did Page51 Monster ate your thread ( Wanted died or alive )
Returned3 replied to sirlonewolf's topic in Rants
So I'm assuming the poster of this thread didnt bump his RSOF thread enough to remain within 51 pages til it got deleted? -
Fighting someone in order to stand up for the victims has a snowball's chance in hell for happening in my school. Most of the people that start fights are usually those with big-egos and tons of friends and they go around bullying some random person. Unless you are one of the "popular kids" who is well-respected and has a comparable amount of friends, standing up for those victims of the bully is close to pointless as they'll only change their target to you and you can pray all you want but for a regular kid like me, no one is going to stand up for you as no one wants to get on the bullies bad side. The most likely scenario would be that they watch in the background as you are being bullied and come to comfort you and say crap like "The bully is weak, hes a coward" only after the bullying ends. All of the fights that I've been involved in involves me and my friends fighting, never against those bullies. Whenever Im faced with a bully, I'll usually ignore em as I know that I have totally no chance of winning despite the fact that the bully's in the wrong. And it'll be a damn miracle should someone stand up for a regular-everyday-normal-guy like me. I guess its just one of the unfair things in life where popularity really does matter. It really does piss me off though, that such things are happening in schools yet not much can be done about it.

Did Page51 Monster ate your thread ( Wanted died or alive )
Returned3 replied to sirlonewolf's topic in Rants
Same here. Im assuming its a glitch where once a thread reaches 51 pages, it will automatically be deleted, but its just my opinion though... -
I totally agree with you, I've been experiencing that for the past few months but I still log on to Runescape 1-2 times a week just to play it... strangely. And for the past year or two, the only online game that I've been playing was Runescape... and it still is  I have no life :(
