[cabbage]. Everyone needs to stop recommending yaks! They are becoming more and more overcrowded, which drastically reduces the exp/hour since you have 5-6 people competing with you. There's also been an invasion of melee trainers that are nuisances for rangers. Theres also been a bunch of range trainers, which is a nuisance for melee trainers. Even though armored zombies are far better for melee training than yaks. I saw a few level 100's training melee at yaks. I told them to try armored zombies, as they're way better... Of course, this started an argument. This one guy said "Well why don't you go there?" I said that I was training range, so it wouldn't work. He said "So what, noob?" I told him that the whole point is the salve amulet which speeds up training immensely. He zinged me, "Does it look like I care?" Then... I told him to shut up, he said how he'd tell me off, but he bets I'm a report noob, I say I don't care if your daddy taught you a few bad words, that annoyed him, he started yelling, I said "You aren't proving anything, so shut your mouth" then he started swearing, I reported him, he said I was annoying and I said, "Well, you won't be annoying anyone for awhile yourself." I don't know if he got the hint, but he kept rather quiet. That's the one flaw in arguments, some people are just too stupid to know they lost.

So tired... Must go on... Torag... His armor... it lacks the flaws of his brothers... His weapons... drive the enemy into the ground. Monsters don't care, they never run anyway... Fellow humans... they regain their energy easily with many other means... Not nearly effective as one who follows the path of the mage... Ice... generally better for slowing people down than hammers... His corrupted strength isn't his strong point... it's his defence that gives his armor use... Dharok... Apparently not a thinker... maybe because his helmet was so weak? His axe... one of the most intimidating weapons around, but nothing without Dharok's wretched strength behind it... So much risk, like gambling... You can never be sure that you're going to survive if you let yourself play at death's door... Your fate looms overhead... Many find it useful, very strong, does a lot of damage... though very risky... Is the gain truly worth the loss? Guthan... Weak in the legs... his legs rather bare... No need to cover them, as he has no intent of fleeing... With his infested power, you will stay in the fight long after your army has fallen... His spear... versatile, but not the best weapon... Simply outlasting the foe is the basic idea of fighting... Some want to kill faster... Guthan takes it slow, and enjoys every last moment... Verac... His chest is left exposed... is it worth the maneuverability for his flail? Verac wastes no time with weaklings who rely on their god's direct influence... He strikes fear in a man that makes his prayers echo into nothing... He defiles the enemy's body, ripping through every last inch... no matter how hard... Verac can get through it... So... Sleepy... Idon'a wahh... Goo... goodnight...

I think I got about 50k xp in one hour. It might have been 45k, I'm not sure. I used ranging potions and iron knives, not to mention I was pretty darn focused. Compared to chinchompas, this is only like one sixth the speed. I thought 60k xp an hour would be the minimum for alternative training, seeing as it's only one fifth of chinchompas. Well, I'm still against chinchompas, and I'm finding yaks with iron knives to be working well at the moment. But what if I kicked it up to rune crossbow and broad bolts? Would that increase the xp rate, or is the slower speed not worth it?
-
I'll go with iron knives, actually. I might as well use them as I already bought them. They cheap enough already, I'd spend a bit more money for faster training at such a small scale. Does anyone have an estimate for xp per hour for me? Please remember, I have 73 range.
-
What gear should I use for yaks?
-
I have 73 range at the moment, and want to get it up. I've done aviansies, but I'm sure there's a faster way to train it than that. However, I'm in no position to spend so much money on chinchompas, so forget that. I need a good training spot that will get me at least 60k xp an hour. I tried fire giants with iron knives... I got 6k xp in 10 minutes. Not good. Any and all help would be appreciated!

So... tired... I... uhhhhh... It's... it's all a coverup! Bounty Hunter gone... no Behind the Scenes... What's next? Maybe... no more big nets little nets, just one net, that's all there is, just a net. Not to mention they got rid of player galleries, and even Postbag From the Hedge is seeing its issues... What... what's next? Big nets little nets? One net left? The npcs are getting chatty, and they don't want any big hints coming out, so they're putting the stop on the Postbag. The player art submission really had subiblimal... sublimimal... sumbi... subliminal messages in them, giving away future updates. It's the Chaos Elemental's doing, I bet... Bounty Hunter's gone because that "unnamed god" that made all those craters is back, and that certainly has to do with the big new 150th quest. No one goes into the craters anymore, the god's too tough... strong, mean, and off limits. Is there even a god relating to Bounty Hunrer? Issays in the Knowlagge Base... uhhh... an "uname god split the earth, making a volcano" or somethin... Could this be having to do with this? March... isn't that the war guy, the zodiac? Maybe more wars... God Wars? Lucien... he's in that underground thing you know where it next to that chaos elemaltar, why can't we go in? March, in March we can now march into that tunnel, find him... get the power gem... ...Fight him... get the Jas... Armadyl staffie... chilly place north... too far north... water! ... boats... sailing? New skill... ... 150th... Aha! Man gain stairs... Tired... so very... tired...

This is essentially the point of the entire post. Is RWT really having such a negative impact that these changes are necessary? Look around you and compare the current times to the old times. Macroers are no longer ruining the game, and credit card fraud issues have been dealt with (as said by Jagex). Transferring gold is dangerous, and time-consuming. RWT has been HUGELY REDUCED as a whole. So it leads to the question: Does the RWT going on right now affect you at all? Answer this question personally, not with the generic brainwashing comments Jagex has spread throughout the community. The only reason I can think up which affects the game negatively at this point are the updates that are aimed at stopping it. Hmm, look, we solved the leaky pipe problem, but... There seems to be a way that the duct tape could leak, in fact, it's leaking a bit already! Should we patch that up to be extra careful? OF COURSE NOT.

The second I hear "roll bacK", I want to say, "It isn't worth making all those people who didn't lose anything suffer."
-
If you've been paying attention, you'd know that Bounty Hunter is a way to quite easily transfer money. All I think they will do is remove a few BH worlds, and maybe make the craters smaller, and add a few more level ranges. This way, there will be more people in a smaller place, so it's easier to find someone with lots of money on them (AKA RWTer), and kill them.

Oh... my... God... Out of all the people who could use such a foul thing, how could the new CEO of Jagex use it? The children around the world will see this and be stunned at how horrible of a person he is. He is in no position to be using smiley faces. He's too official, too high up, and I thought he was at least a good person. How could anyone get away with making a smiley face on an important notice. No, this was his introduction to his entire career. His first impression! From the looks of it, he's going to be a terrible CEO, and ruin Runescape. He'll add more anti-RWT updates (which I recently learned equals anti-FUN), and maybe stick out of place faces all over the game. The second you log on to Runescape, you will see this... "Welcome to Runescape :)" Could you bare to see that? Every single time you logged in, you would be reminded of his terrible attitude. It will ruin the atmosphere of the game! Everyone would quit, Jagex will fail yet again. He'll probably ruin Funorb too, but who cares about that? I even bet he doesn't even know what he's doing, the harm, the pain he's inflicting. He's corrupting the children, just as the new censor is. First, it was "damn", now it's ":)"! That is.. sickening what's next... "LOL"?! If he says "lol" even once, I swear to the Lord, Jesus, and that third thing that I will quit this game right away. The is unrespicable what he's doing here, he should be fired right away! Wait, no... I mean... WHO CARES!

Another stupid thread... I'm really REALLY getting sick of these people. These kind of people make me question the meaning of life... Their life... Why? WHY?!?! Some people think one way, and other people think the other. Some may call those people stupid, some people call them different. I call them stupid. You obviously don't understand how RWTing works and even what the term "human interaction" means. So do us all a favor, and leave, you aren't even trying to think things out. You just want to whine, and make yourself look smarter than Jagex by putting down their extremely important decisions. Well, you aren't. Maybe you are, but trying to prove it by whining isn't going to get you anywhere.
-
I've never seen it not there. I don't know what it's for, but it's so old, it might just be for show. If something was planned, it would have been done by now.
-
There are just so many rules... I didn't bother reading them all. Why? Because this screams "Bounty Hunter with makeup!" It seems to be Bounty Hunter, but throughout the entire wilderness, hopefully fooling "oldschool pkers". Sorry, but they aren't that dumb... Bigger pk area, MUCH easier to transfer money.

Dexterity - A combination of skills? (poorly thought out)
Cheefoo replied to Boris5000's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Do you have any idea what 1.5 times damage means? Strength has no balance? It's called defence. And dodging attacks is not a new idea, let me tell you that. That's what defence does, blocks attacks. On topic... These ideas don't make a whole lot of sense... Why does theiving give you two weapons, or more arrows shot, or fletching without knives? Theives don't fight, and they don't have... b]knifehands[/b]... Though dual weilding could work... But there's absolutely no need for it. -
Well, the magic level is still hazy... What if it took 95 magic? If you had 95 hp, or defence, you could survive the attacks. If you get a very high skill, there's bound to be some type of advantage. Of course there could be certain monsters that simply can't be affected, such as quest monsters. They're apparently protected with "Plotonium" the most magical material that makes anything happen in favor of the story or gameplay, no matter how unrealistic. P.S. Don't tell me not being attacked by bosses for 5 minutes is going to give any advantages. There's no advantage to standing in a boss room for a whopping five minutes... And if there is *coughlootsharecough*, there can be remidies, such as no *coughlootsharecough* when the spell is in effect. Plotonium can be applied in a number of fashions! No wonder it's a must have in videogames and movies. I mean, what else could be preventing the ghostspeak amulet from being traded?
-
Totally support. Though I don't see why the vulture needs to do damage. Also, a phoenix eggling doesn't exactly seem like a large bird, and I doubt it could fly... heyeveryonecheckoutmyNEWspellbooksuggestionokaythanks...

Summoning level affecting non-members...
Cheefoo replied to StephenT's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Level 1 summoning doesn't affect combat level... -
Sorry, the whip isn't overpowered... The dagger you're suggesting... 9 speed? 150% damage special?? That's way overpowered.

Many new spells... Many to defeat monsters, the Slayer Spellbook? Many that are advanced versions of normal spells, Modern Spellbook Plus? Maybe it's a new spellbook, or an addition of the normal spellbook? Nor do I know how it's unlocked, but hell, I'll share it with you! Required levels are mostly up to you to decide, so you better think hard. I'm also conjuring the spell icons, but it is difficult, and requires much magical power, runes, and time. Watch this space, and I may have discovered the icons. Well, here we go! But first one quick thing! This spellbook is designed not for pvp, as the other spellbooks are based off of mostly, but pvm. Monsters have always been ignored when using magic? Why? First of all, it's very expensive. Rangers spend 60-200 gp each attack (and they can pick their ammo up usually) and hit higher generally. Melee fighters spend just about nothing each attack, and hit higher. Sure, in pvp, the mages live off of their special effects, like freezing, and lowering stats. Though tell me, is it worth it to freeze, or lower the stats of a monster? Unless it's a boss, no. Monsters die too quickly (even with magic) to really have their disadvantages taken advantage of. And if it is in fact a boss monster, it probably won't hit. Many boss monsters are very resistant towards magic for some reason, so they aren't so useful there. All in all, this book is for affordable, cheap spells that are meant to combat monsters mostly, so expect higher hits, and more damage per gp. Okay, now to the spells! Name: Bone Banana Blast Cost: 1 nature rune, 5 body runes, 8 earth runes, 8 water runes Description: Target monster cannot move or use melee attacks for the next 15 seconds. Only works on monsters that drop normal bones, ghosts and giants for example do not. If you kill the enemy while in this gross, yet delicious state, they will drop bananas instead of bones. Rougly 3, but some other things have been found in the pile... We'll just forget about them. Name: Big Bone Banana Blast Cost: 2 nature runes, 1 soul rune, 12 earth runes, 12 water runes Description: Target monster cannot move or use melee attacks for the next 15 seconds. Works on not only monsters that drop normal bones, but big bones, jogre bones, dragon bones, zogre bones, babydragon bones, you name it. Though it's still being discussed if demons do have bones or not, but if they do, they somehow resist this spell. Possibly they change them into ashes before the spell hits, thus negating the effect. As before, instead of bones, they will drop bananas, 6 this time. Yum! Name: Brains to Bananas Cost: 3 nature runes, 5 mind runes, 15 earth runes, 15 water runes Description: Target monster cannot move or attack for the next 30 seconds. As you might guess (if you were using your brain) this will not work on the undead. Ghosts, because, they don't really have any brain, and zombies... well why else do you think they want brains so much? This spell has an unusual effect on the caster. You cannot cast this spell more than once in one minute. If you do, you risk the fate of your poor test subjects. Name: Alchemy Blast Cost: 2 nature runes, 1 soul rune Description: Target monster, if lower than 5% health, dies instantly, and instead of its 100% drop, it drops coins equal to its level times 10. Oh dear, more experimenting on things that are definitely not a yew longbow. Inhumane, dispicable, comical, cruel, greedy, and very worth it! Well, not in all cases. You wouldn't want to cast this on a green dragon, even though 790 coins should be able to pay off the runes used for the spell, you're losing about 4k worth of goodies ripped from their dead, non-golden bodies. However, along with the gold, they will drop their normal drops too. So don't be afraid of losing anything valuable! ...Except your humanity... Name: Crush Shot Cost: 2 chaos runes, 3 air runes, 5 earth runes Description: Why settle for magical damage when you can whack your enemy with a clod of earth? It seems to be a plain old attack spell, it does up to 15 damage. However, if the enemy is weak to crush (if that's their lowest defence) they can take up to 25! Yes, that's a lot of damage for that rather low cost of runes, however. Though this spell book is meant to be affordable to kill monsters with, as spending thousand of coins to kill a few ice monsters isn't worth it usually. Not to mention, you need to know the enemy's weakness, either know it by remembering every bonus of their armor, if they're a player (quite hard), or because they're a monster, and they're weak to crush (much easier to know). Name: Slash Shot Cost: 2 chaos runes, 7 air runes Description: Same story with crush shot, 15 damage normally, 25 if they're weak to slash. Though the reason this spell generally costs less (an air staff can reduce the cost to just two chaos runes), is because not many monsters, or armor types are weak against slash. Not to mention, air is more fitting for a slashing attack than earth included, you know? Name: Stab Shot Cost: 2 chaos runes, 5 air runes, 3 earth runes Description: Sensing a pattern here? 15 damage, 25 if the target is weak to stab. Not a whole lot else to say. Name: Silver Bullet Cost: 1 blood rune, 7 air runes, and a silver bolt in the ammo slot Description: Does up to 20 damage normally. Seeing as it's a bullet, it travels very fast. When walking and casting, you do not stop moving, but you walk (or run if you're playing outside) while casting. It uses up the silver bolt completely, it spares no bolt. And here's the best part for you Canifis haters, it does up to 30 damage on werewolves, and vampires, and vampyres! Name: Holy Blast Cost: 1 soul rune, 5 air runes, 1 prayer point Description: Does up to 20 damage. You are healed one quarter of what you hit, but this only works when you have the smite prayer activated. One prayer point is subtracted when you cast it. I don't know why I had to explain that, but I felt like I had to. Not to mention this does up to 30 damage on the undead! Take that, salve amulet, you've got some competition! Name: Slayer Wave Cost: 2 death runes, 8 mind runes, slayer staff Description: It's technically magic dart, but cooler, and this time, it actually has slayer in its name. Does 15 damage +10% of your magic level, like magic dart, so it can hit up to 25 (if you boost your magic to 100). However, it's outdated with the next effect. It does 30 damage against your slayer task monsters! Not to mention it can hit Kurasks and Turoths, but it won't do 30 damage unless they're your assignment of course. Take that, black mask, you've got some competition! Name: Intimidation Cost: 5 mind runes, 2 soul runes Description: Simply put, monsters won't mess with you after you cast this. They become "tolerant" as if you stayed there for a few minutes. Doesn't work again monsters that always attack you, such as bosses. I guess they'll never be nice. EDIT: Or, instead, it counts your combat level as double for 10 minutes so monsters will "respect" you easier. Name: Super Intimidation Cost: 10 mind runes, 4 soul runes Description: No one will attack you for 5 minutes when you cast this. 5 minutes? There's a time limit now? But when I say no one... I mean no one... Not even bosses will want to get on your bad side. EDIT: Or, instead, it counts your combat level as triple for 5 minutes. Name: Taunt Cost: 5 mind runes, 2 soul runes Description: When you cast this, everthing in the area will want you dead. Actually, this could be very useful for training. When they stop attacking you, cast this, attract their attention. Though they will eventually become tolerant like normal. Name: Super Taunt Cost: 10 mind runes, 4 soul runes Description: You will be attacked by every single monster in the room. In multicombat areas, they will drop whatever they're doing, and attack you. Could really be useful to save a friend in need. Or if you just plain want to die. One way or another, it's going to hurt. Name: Wind Bomb Cost: 2 blood runes, 10 air runes Description: 17 max hit, damages up to 9 enemies in the surrounding 3x3 area. Name: Water Bomb Cost: 2 blood runes, 10 air runes, 12 water runes Description: 18 max, 3x3 Name: Earth Bomb Cost: 2 blood runes, 10 air runes, 12 earth runes Description: 19 max, 3x3 Name: Fire Bomb Cost 2 blood runes, 10 air runes, 12 fire runes Description: 20 max, 3x3 To be continued...
-
In pvm, mage is barely used. Too expensive, low max hit... Freezing, lowering attack, magic, defence, and prayer isn't worth it against monsters. The max hit is 30, and the attacks are very costly. There needs to be a book that has cheap spells, and high max hits. I don't care if there's nothing else in that book, but it needs something good against monsters.

Are parent too harsh on Jagex? or misunderstood?
Cheefoo replied to kill2pleasure's topic in General Discussion
THIS JUST IN! Underaged Runescape player, Timmy HIS ACCOUNT STOLEN. This is big news people, a big first. A scary first. Timmy, being only 11 years old (yes ELEVEN YEARS OLD, poor kid) is awesome at Runescape. He has powers, big points, and lots of abilities. He's so cool, other players ask him for help! (Does this generous child actually help them? Tune in at 10 and find out!) Timmy recently SPOKE to someone in Runescape, and asked something UNHEARD OF. "Will you join my clan?" asked the other youngster (or so he lead us on to believe). He then told Timmy to go to a different website!! Poor Timmy didn't know advertising websites was against the rules, nor was he taught that there are many suspicious sites out there! The fault of uncaring programmers, as you can see. The site looked identical to the real Runescape website, yet only with a totally different address! Poor Timmy was never told about common sense about the internets, someone else is to blame, here. He input his password the evil site, and before Timmy could even start crying, his account was STOLEN. But who cares? This is just some stupid fake game, with little pixels and pretend items, right? WRONG. The game costs 60 dollars a year! You'd have to give up precious precious foodmoney to play this game. Not only that, but little Timmy had his relatives fork over 140 dollars for him to activate cheats in Runescape to get more swords and armors. All that is gone now, and there's no way he can play the game anymore. It would take him a COUPLE OF HOURS to make that 140 dollars worth of fake pixel items. Poor Timmy is even mocked when he plays on his other account (already worth $300!), saying he will be hacked again, and again, and again, and AGAIN. The creators of Runescape didn't give any support at ALL. Instead of spending precious hours upon hours reading the safety regulations and rules, the parents had to directly contact the creators. They got a ROBOTIC REPLY saying that they have 180+ workers for customer support, and that her message was INVALID? The message she wrote was as follows: "My son payed 140 dollars to get money in your game, and it was stolen by a theif! This criminal mocks our poor little 11 year old boy, Timmy, saying he will be hacked again! Please get his account back, we payed so much money for him to become cool!" It was ignored, and Timmy was left without anything at all... He says he can't play the game anymore, because all of his things were stolen. Cry for poor Timmy, and he may just feel wanted in this cruel, evil internets. There is no hope for poor Timmy, so the moral of this story is... READ THE RULES, DAMMIT!
