  1. Not to mention idiots who do the "retribution trick".
  2. I don't agree with the OP but the retribution trick doesn't really count as a cheat and scam... and who doesn't want to earn quick cash lol? Apparently the average RuneScapian with an IQ of 60... Indubitably! Rubbish. What's your freaking IQ then? 300? 50000? I doubt your IQ is even 60. Don't be stupid and try to act like you're very intelligent or something if you know nothing. You're just making yourself look stupid. The retribution trick is EXPLOTING a glitch in the system, in other word, CHEATING, or in other words, bug abuse. Please get your freaking definition straight before trying to insult people. Sure, everyone wants quick cash, but I said he used CHEATING methods and UNDERHAND means to get quick cash. Dude calm down. What did i say to offend you? I merely disagreed with you and you get ultra angry. You can't expect everyone to agree with you all the time. And i didn't even say anything offensive, you're the only one thats "trying to insult people" by going on about how everyone else has such a low IQ. And for that matter how was i acting like i'm "very intelligent or something"? Because i had a different opinion from you? Jeez. All i said was that i didn't think the retribution "trick" is cheating. Talk about angry. Please...why don't you get who I was referring to straight before criticising me? I was talking to those people who said "Apparently the average Runescapian with 60 IQ..." and "indubitably!". I DON'T expect everyone to agree with me. What I don't expect is idiots insulting my IQ.
  3. This is total unfairness IMO. Everyone has been ranting about Jagex putting in a longer "in-combat timer", but they still haven't done it. It's a very simple fix.
  4. Yeah, a LOT of player interaction... More like scammers and botters.
  5. F2P should definitely get skill capes IMO. They work much harder then P2Pers to get a 99 in a skill. So why shouldn't they get one? For those selfish people who say "just pay the freaking $5 you (insert swear word)" or something along the lines of that, why don't you try and get a 99 in f2p? I bet you won't be able to get it. Some people also live in countries where a US$5 is maybe $20 of their currency. I myself live in a country where US$5 is about $7.5 of my currency. Some people also have problems with paying the $5. And besides, what DO YOU LOSE if f2p gets skillcapes? You don't lose a month's salary, an arm or leg. You don't lose anything. Summary: YES. F2p should get skillcapes. P.S. to the author. Why don't you create a "vote" style thing, where you tabulate everyone's vote, just to see whether most TIFers are greedy and selfish or not.

  7. I've never died due to non combat means before. Though someone bad in maths could very well pick up the scorpion in the monastery 21 times when he has 63 hp - LOL.
  8. What the hell are you talking about? So just because YOU WANT TO CHEAT and make quick cash, other people HAVE to support you or else they are stupid? What rubbish. They're SMART for not cooperating with you to earn quick and underhand cash. Maybe not smart, but HONEST. Honesty is a virtue. It can never be "used wrongly". Intelligence =/= Good. It depends on how you use it. So what if they're stupid? I'd rather befriend a honest, kind, generous but 50 IQ person than a cunning, scheming, greedy 250 IQ person. Your "130 IQ" means nothing. It depends on how you use it. If you use it to cheat and scam, you deserve ZERO respect from us. Similarly, a 60 IQ person who is polite and honest deserves far more respect than an idiotic cheater like you.
  9. Off topic: Also some companies pay Google to make their websites show up in higher search results. Actually Google states that it is not affected by payment, meaning that they do not accept payment for moving a site higher. It actually is a credible source. Not always I agree with that but it can be very helpful Also, Wikipedia is free and non-profit. Most, if not all, of their money goes to maintaining the site. Actually, both of you are right and wrong. Google DOES accept ad payment, and those websites that show up at the SIDE, but the top of the page are those who pay Google. However, those on the MAIN page do not pay Google anything. Just to illustrate - or just go and search anything on Google and you'll see what I mean. 1. Website A l Website D 2. Website B l Website E 3. Website C l ... Website A, B and C are popular, and they don't pay Google any money to be at the top of the list. Website D and E may or may not be popular, but they pay Google money, so Google puts them at the top right hand corner (Ads section)
  10. You're correct about the unpopularity of vulnerability. But even so, giving f2p (and p2p) a better spell compared to it, in terms of cost and casting level, is quite absurd and likely to draw critism from existing p2p players. It is similiar to what happens if Jagex suddenly decides that they open some higher level but lesser used features to f2p, say crafting chaos runes Taking at least 100 death runes to finish the task does not imply you should get 100 death rune back afterwards. The DD doesn't give out any single rune. However, in DD, you need to burn a lots of runes to fight the bosses. Though you may argue that they give out more experience... If I say it is overpowered, compare it to other classes have got today. Effects like black out will make it extremely difficult for other classes to counterattack and vulnerable to sudden KO, and also enables it to escape when being attacked by rangers. Other spells which knocks one back by 9 squares also gives mages great advantage when chased by rangers or meleers. Finally, the increase in damage potential means mages are now equal to other classes when dealing damage. This makes meleers and rangers in an inferior position since they cannot pull out magick tricks. You attempt to make the spells more fair by limiting the number of casts in a fixed period. This may appear effective --- but wait --- Have you ever experienced any inability to teleport to Lumbridge because the timer was not yet reset? Please reckon. Finally, there are too many spells for the same function. Like slove and wilt. The higher levelled one may be intended as processive upgrades to old lower level counterparts, but this makes the spell book very clumsy. Finally, I am not very optimistic about this suggestion. The number of spells simply exceeds the ancient and lunar spell books (even including Lunar Mentor). Again, the paying members will resist, and will resist hard, to anything like this. They will say "I worked for 2 years before I unlock all the spellbooks, now you give f2p a superior spellbook than what I had achieved with my 2 year efforts?" As sees_all1 has ALREADY said, and even the list shows, many of the spells are P2P only. Blackout just blackens the enemy's screen. If the enemy has already clicked "attack" on you, he will continue attacking you. Its not as if its freezing time or something. And the time you are wasting casting blackout on the opponent, he could have got past an obstacle and clicked "attack" on you, so regardless of whether he can see or not, he'll still chase/attack you.

What exactly makes being a skiller more of a challenge, other than a lower xp rate for most skills and not being able to do combat? Many people mistake tediousness for difficulty. True. I laugh when people say agility is hard. It's just boring as hell. But being a skiller is more challenging due to not being able to use the best things available; things which mains often take for granted. Even as a pure I've noticed skilling can be alot harder when you're not on a main, and I'm not mistaking tediousness with difficulty here. I've noticed something similar on a low level F2P account. Very limited teleporting alone makes it more difficult. Lower health for skills like Agility and Thieving would eliminate some options entirely, and for those that are still there they would be a lot harder to use. Add in being unable to wield axes/pickaxes and getting scared away by the lvl 14 scorpions in the Al Kharid Mine, otherwise a great mining spot for f2pers.
  12. Selfish pvper. Jagex should have made new worlds for pvp in the first place.
  13. I wasn't going to respond to the previous post, but since you felt like calling me an idiot, I have to say something. Honestly, I don't know who you think you are. Every single academic class I've taken over the last 3 years that required any kind of research paper begins on the first day with a warning not to cite wikipedia as a source, otherwise it's an automatic "F" for the paper. There have been several incidents of incredible information, and plagiarism posted on the site. A couple of years ago, their most prominent editor was exposed for being a fraud. Because there is controversy over the accuracy of information posted on wikipedia, it can't be considered credible to cite your information from there. Reading your comments that you follow up with, you don't even sound sure of how wikipedia works. How are you calling me an idiot then? You are going to try and shoot me down with what - your best guesses? It used to be that ANYBODY could edit the articles. Now it's restricted to registered users. They also have editors to check over the articles. It can be a good site to look at for personal knowledge, but shouldn't be the only place you look. I will concede that wikipedia is usually correct, but you should've taken the time to read what I had said instead of throwing insults. I said it isn't ALWAYS a reliable source. Sorry, but I'm going to have to say that what Jagex posts directly on the Runescape website is going to be a more credible source than wikipedia. This has gone way off topic now, and I apologize to this week's authors. I'm done responding to ignorant posters. So just because the creators of wikipedia are more open and allow anyone to edit (you still have to cite references furthermore) it, its unreliable. Please. Wikipedia is more like a consolidation of information gotten from other sources. If you don't think its reliable, fine. The information will have a [5] or something behind it, and it will link to the respective references at the end. Those information with [citation needed] or no [] at all can't always be trusted, but those with a [] and the website reference cited is trusted are more than accurate 99% of the time. I've used wikipedia hundreds of times, and I find it FAR FAR FAR more informative than most other websites. How can it be unreliable if Google Search always puts it in the front 5 or so posts? Most information on wikipedia is backed up by references to respected sources, and if you don't trust some information, you can always check out the references at the end to see if the referenced source is a respected source. Heck, you can just go the source itself to look if you're still not content.
  14. It was ungreatful, and it is clear Racheya you do not know what your talking about, I would doubt you have even PKed before. I myslef do a bit of everything, and whilst Pking is not my main thing i do in runescape i do see that removing the pvp worlds hindered alot of my friends and their run in wars. Please make sure you know what your talking about before posting something. Please make sure you know how to use proper English before posting something. Many people had their home worlds taken away and changed into PvP worlds. I don't know about you, but I'll be really angry if my homeworld (14) had been taken away just to allow some PKers to PK in. Jagex IS RIGHT in doing this. They shouldn't have robbed people of their homeworlds anyway. They should have created new worlds for PvP. They're just returning what they took. And please, look at the FREAKING world list. How many people are on some of the PvP worlds? Every time I look through the world list, PvP worlds have the FEWEST players on them. So why should Jagex waste their space in keeping these worlds as PvP worlds? - Hypocrite.
  15. Wikia/Wikipedia isn't always a reliable source. It even says on the front page, "The wiki...that anyone can edit!" Just backing what you said up with a credible source. Maybe not runescape wikia, but wikipedia is as reliable as anything else on the internet, probably more. Please...I don't know why so many idiots think wikipedia isn't a reliable source. It is. Just because anyone can edit it doesn't mean its unreliable. Its constantly checked by "mods" that remove any false edits. I'm not sure on this, but maybe the edits have to go through a "mod" before getting into wikipedia. Back to topic, I agree that this week's articles were great. The one on change is my favorite. I hate idiots who constantly whine about jagex's updates to the game that made it so much worse than RSC, etc. They'll never understand that Jagex MUST change in order to survive. So if a weapon speed is 10, it hits every 0 seconds. Right? Speed - Hits every 10 - 0 - In other words infinite. 9 - 0.6 8 - 1.2 7 - 1.8 6 - 2.4 5 - 3 4 - 3.6 3 - 4.2 2 - 4.8 1 - 5.4 I always thought 2h swords were only half as fast as scimitars, but actually they were slightly more than half as fast (1.8 seconds slower). And I always thought Jagex was rather stupid to make a 1-10 speed bar, but only use 4 of the bars (3, 4, 5, 6) often. (some rubbish like (forgot name) crossbow should be slower) I always think of daggers as faster than scimitars. I mean a DAGGER weighs less than half a kilogramme, but a scimitar is probably at least 1.5 -2.5 kilogrammes.
  16. NO. So just because I'm 13 or any age below 18, I am immature? On the contrary, its YOU who is immature. You're stereotyping and discriminating against a whole community of people just because of a few idiots? So we should also filter all adults just because one adult keeps spamming and swearing? And by the way, your horrible English makes you seem more like a 13 year old immature idiot. How can we trust that you're a certain age? Its the internet. You can give a false age. I could say I'm (insert a believable but untrue age). I don't know why so many of the so-called "older" and "more mature" people always discriminate and stereotype "children". P.S. Use your ignore list.
  17. That was what I was trying to say, except I couldn't articulate myself properly  :P

Well said, well said =D> Though you could improve your spelling, grammar and punctuation... : At least its readable though.
  19. =D> Way to go. Kids, in general and on average, aren't really that dull/thick/whatever. They just don't know the difference between a lie and the truth. I know, that was just a summarization. The good part is yet to come. Scamming is lying. There, it's out there. Even if you think it's not, scamming IS LYING. Lying, in and of itself, is practicing deceitful behavior. So stretching the truth to get a little bit ahead is just as cruel and dishonest as blatantly lying. I would write more, but a lot of what I would write would be true or untrue based on your religion. So, I'll write a "politically correct" version.Since being "politically correct" means phrasing things in terms of the basic evolutionary theory, I'll do that too. Since we, technically, evolved from rocks, there should be no morals at all. But humanity has evolved to a point where ethics and morals have developed. These ethics and morals (not murdering, NOT LYING, not injuring a fellow human, etc.) are all based off of helping our fellow man and continuing to keep the human race in existence. So, by defying the ethics of lying by scamming another, you are essentially wanting to halt the progress of the evolution of that person's bloodline's section of the human race. Now, if you believe that ethics and morals come from somewhere else than continuing to keep the human race in existence, then you should know that lying is just plain wrong and DON'T DO IT. By essentially removing scamming almost entirely with the trade limits and the GE, Jagex has made defying the moral law of honesty in the digital world they created less possible. And how is that BAD....? Agreed. Kids are not "stupid" or "dumb" or whatever. They just lack experience. I started playing this game below 13 too, and I usually spoke MUCH BETTER English (though of course not perfect) than some idiots (hint, hint!). I'm speaking the truth that I never got scammed. But that's probably because the time I started Runescape, jagex already had put in lots of measures to stop scamming. I remember an idiot who pretended to be my friend but his ulterior motive was to get my pass to hack my account. LOL. What a stupid scam. I mean he said directly "come on, please tell me your pass". I'll rofl if anyone fell for that. [/hide] I got scammed once or twice due to lack of experience. Believe me, it's not fun knowing some guy just took your account because you didn't know that Jagex would let you type your password backwards. :( Also, at the guy deliberately asking for you password. IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Spreading news! Due to the recent growth of scammers in RuneScape, we (JaGeX), strongly recommend you to choose palindromic passwords to prevent yourself from accidentally typing your password out. In case you don't know, a palindrome is a word/number that reads the same backwards and forwards. E.g. LOL, 7887, hah, sees, 999, 50099005
  20. Seriously what the hell are you talking about. Runescape is a great game. If you hate RS so much, get lost and play other MMORPGs then. I can tell you that you'll have a hard time finding as good a MMORPG as RS with the same price.
  21. Seriously can all these people who keep saying its overpowered READ THE POST MORE CAREFULLY? There are measures put in by sees_all1 to prevent overpoweredness of some spells. On the surface, they might seem overpowered (e.g. apparate), but due to certain measures like time limits, rune costs, etc, they are balanced out.
