  1. Long time no see esper! A cc on w76 just did that and I was in it. The rewards for rank on lvl 2 are exactly the same, regardless of winning, or losing: 1 for losing and 2 for winning. As for the point rewards, i got about the same for 12.5k investment as i do for 10k. Lvl 2 isn't worth it.
  2. Was just about to post this. Tbh, Jagex keeps making these things less interesting
  3. That was my 1st thought
  4. Um... The GE has been around for... 10 months. Almost a full year. Yet we still await the leeway needed for a true free market. I mean a few months compared to the entire lifespan of Runescape. There have been worse times in the past, but we have learned to deal with them. This is a bad time, but we will move on.
  5. I just takes time. Seeing as Santa suits are coming, for example, Santa Hats will see a gradual increase. We just need to pay attention to market trends. Raw materials will stay around the same, unfortunately for some people, as long as the autoers stay away. However, it's a good thing for the most part, since the prices won't go wacky. Weapons and armor will ALWAYS go down, as long as more are brought into the market than lost. The rares market is, currently, messed up. This is the one area, in my opinion, that Jagex REALLY needs to look into. Fix the prices first. Instead of the 15% leeway, maybe 30% or even 50%. That would jump-start the market. We can no longer buy low and sell high like before. Making 10mil per hour is no longer possible through trades. The game is focusing more on skills and team fights now more than ever. Finally, the market depends on updates. Skills will mess up the market, while quests requiring obscure items (ME2) will cause people to rush to the markets and buy them at the highest price. IL;DR: Wait a while. The exchange has only been around a few months. The months ahead will be hard, but there is hope. The complainers have left, and Jagex is finally catering the newbies so they may understand how the game should be played by the time they wisen up. A new generation is joining, and hopefully the changes will become commonplace. GP IS NOT DEAD.
  6. Hes probably a mix of everything, or maybe what's left of one of the goblin tribes
  7. The people who drew these have a lot of talent. The sculpture is awesome
  8. Rioting is usually not the answer. Unless it's over a rule (like the Swift banning riot), in game updates most likely will not be reversed. It takes months just to make one update, so I doubt Jagex would simply throw it away.
  9. Fellow TIF users. It is evident how much of an impact these last few days have had upon all of us. We have lost so much valuable time and information with this unfortunate rollback. Instead of bickering about lost guides and topics, (which I do consider important, don't get me wrong) I am going to bring up a point, rather a problem, which has plagued this forum. The problem? Too many posts. Now, you might be saying "OMFG STFUNUB", but hold on a minute. All forums have posts, that's natural, but the type of posts I am getting at are the insignificant posts. By insignificant, I mean the posts which do not add to the topic at hand. Of course, you are allowed to agree or disagree with the topic's views, but after seeing one word answers and "quote trees", it has hit me. What are we doing to ourselves? As you know (or may not know), TIF costs money to maintain. The cost of maintenance is covered, in part, by the forum ads. However, when the forums are shut down for three days, no ads are running, yet the cost is still building up. The bigger the size of the site, the more money needed for it's upkeep. This money must be payed somehow, and who else pays it but the high and mighty at tip.it. Now, tip.it and its forums are nonprofit in any way, and a lot is payed for by ads. What adds to the size of our forums is the post count. What we do to help? We can start by watching what we post. Stop posting one word replies and making huge quote trees just for fun. Stop bickering over petty things and spamming up the forums (hidden updates thread especially). When your topic gets locked, don't keep reposting. Stick to one TIF account; no need to have so many. Finally, STOP POSTING JUST TO INCREASE POST COUNT. Already I have seen a few people complain/comment about their smaller post count. Remember, quality of posts is better than quantity. I know this is a wall of text, but bear with me. We need to act now to make sure we aren't so greatly effected if something like this happens again. A sticky on this thread mentions that "hundreds if not thousands of dollars were lost". If we pay more discrepancy to our posting quality, I'm sure we will benefit ourselves in the long run with a more intelligent community. It will be a long road to recovery, but let us walk this road together. Fellow TIF user, Thus A couple of questions I would like to address: "Posting well will help post count?" -Well, yes. Instead of posting all over in every topic with one word answers, use more digression. Try adding to the topic, or just posting in one. No one needs to read "I agree." as the only point of the post, and then move on to another topic and have the same thing. "____ will help the rollback" - At this point, nothing can help the rollback. However, if we simply decided to post wisely at an earlier date, maybe our TIF crew would not have to pay so much money. Less posts = less space = less cost for maintenance. "Less spam posting, = less ad's viewed = less money earned." -Does not work that way. There are only two ads per page, one on top, and one on the bottom. For this principle to work, every post would either a) have to have an ad in it, or <img src='http://forum.public.cdn.tip.it/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> have to be on a completely separate page. Yes, more posts = more pages = more ads, but when spam fills one page, that does not work. THE MONEY EARNED PER AD CLICK IS THE SAME, EVEN IF THE SIZE OF THE SITE INCREASES. IF WE USE THE ABOVE PRINCIPLE, THE SITE COSTS WOULD OVERTAKE THE AD PAYMENT. MORE POSTS DOES NOT = MORE CLICKS. EDIT: Another point I would like to address. Scroll up, scroll down, NO ADS. Every day is costing money just like when the forums were down. We are still raking up debt. Until the ads come back, we can afford even less to have spam.
  10. I didnt know how hard it would be w/o TIF. I know I haven't played RS in like 2 months, but I lurk here. People who have common interests are here. My family is here. too bad my avatar is gone, o well
  11. should be used only for clan chat leaders/owners. sounds awesome, and maybe you can toggle off the arrows under chat options? great idea tbh
  12. I hate that problem at mith drags >.>
  13. F- P2P will win, and should. If EVERY MEMBER with their ice spells etc were to fight and NO FRIENDLY FIRE, it would be pure ownage. Also, the costs of runes or items wouldn't be a problem, since its either your money or your account. However the "if you dont kill you are banned" rule is really tough. I mean, look at my stats. I STILL doubt I have much killing ability, considering the mass number of people. Then again, there are HUGE numbers or low levels. Interesting topic indeed. It's doubtful that they would actually organize in a case like this. Some well-led clans might be able to make an organized attack, but for the most part it'd be anarchy. F2P has about 10 times the numbers as P2P, so their numbers will probably beat the advanced armor and weapons of the P2Pers. ORGANIZATION will not matter. All you have to do is run in and cast. Also, 10 level 50s wont hit much on me.
  14. same here, great way to live by btw
  15. um... what's wrong with crabs? r u scared of them? do you have crab-phobia? :-s I think he was referring to pubic lice bluntly stated, and yes
  16. wait, why can't she open the chest? The only thing I hate is when people summon mummies and stuff and dont bother to kill them
  17. Basically what I did. Yup Doesnt need the bowl, I just tried it. It's quite cute.
  18. Thus replied to Crazymonster's topic in Rants
I was warned about that i could not deposit more than 12k, not that i will loose all my cash if i do so... Its your fault for being dumb
  19. +1 Someone please do this
  20. I have some insight on the rares market. The reason why prices are plummeting is because everyone is scared and selling. I would take this time to BUY for the long term. Rares aren't like logs or runes, there will never be more entering the market. There is nowhere to go but up.
  21. Thus replied to mahomus's topic in Rants
/topic. Macros will ALWAYS be around
  22. Yeah, untradable items would have to be given a value for this to work with barrows armor and fighters torsos: 2 of the most commonly lost items that piss people off
