Use you kingdom to get coal for 96 gp ea or so, then mine the iron that you'll need and smelt them into bars, then sell them or smith them and sell what you smith to get your money back.

I thought this was kinda ovious, but you asked... http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=cooking_guide.htm If your looking for advise and you cooking is 40 or more, then I would suggest cooking lobsters. you can buy them for about 220gp or less, and sell for 200 gp. so you're losing 20 gp for 120 cooking exp, which isnt too bad, even if you burn a few. but if you dont have the money, then just fish and cook. you'll get paid for getting fishing and cooking exp, even if it is slower than buying.

I only read the first 2 paragraphs, but i can easily tell that you arnt very smart. You are talking about stuff that you've come into the game and seen. you oviusly havent read the KB articles on the updates, they tell you all you need to know about the updates and why they've been doing them. so please dont come in here and act like you know everything when you havent even done simple searches. Thanx, Snake

another horrible change to the GE: sarcasm comes to life
snake6man replied to agamemnus's topic in General Discussion
The GE is NOT a merchanting device. And they didn't get rid of world 2, so how does the GE kill merchanting? You can still trade there. -
Multi-Site Steel War 3 (Dec 8, 2pm Est)
snake6man replied to dustin's topic in Tip.Iters Events, Groups, and Teams
I had to go to a wresting tournament like 30 mins before it started lol... woulda been fun but at least we won :) -
That would be useless if you can't transfer money between accounts. If by example you get 30 million on a lvl 3 account, you will want to transfer taht money to your main character. But if Jagex makes it that you can't drop trade because deathpiles and drop options are gone, then you can't drop trade. no, the people who only have lv 30 acounts anyways would probably love to start over if they got to do it with 30m and a nice and high wcing lv. or anyone whos coming to the game new and wants to have more money than most people have in the game.
-
You forgot- the goldfarmers can always just sell their autoing accounts with all the money on them... but it would still slow down RWTing incredibly, because 1 single autoer cant make much money in its lifetime, its the trading all the money to one account where RWTers get the millions of gp. Plus, less people are gona want to buy an acount that has autoed, and still more people wont want to buy the accounts because they want the money on the account they already have. This dosnt mean that there wont be anyone to mess up the econimy tho... once they get rid of the RWT's, the autoers might turn to something else like... gp maby? they could chop willows and sell them at the grand exange, then keep the money till they get banned. I duno lol, just a thought. Theres pretty much no way to get rid of the majority of problems in runescape until you get rid of all the autoers.
-
The problem with this update is that it brings in WAY too many sellers and not enough buyers. willows went up, they used to be 15 ea, now they're like 20 ea... its really lame. Runes I think are easier to get now, only 13 ea max price.
-
pros- 6 more bank spaces cons- havent sold anything yet and they've been in there for a while at a pretty low price.

Brave? What was brave about that? It was pretty obvious YEARS ago that he was a price manipulator. God knows I had my fair share of arguements with him about his manipulative ways, only to eventually be ignored because he knew I was right. Granted, I wouldn't have pinned him as selling his GP back then, but now it makes sense as to why he was so hell bent on trying to manipulate the rares market. It's people like him that are destroying the game, not Jagex. Jagex has to do what they think they need to do. No matter how that effects the game. And when you get pseudo-intellects like R2 trying to make real money on a game... then yeah... you're going to have conflicts of intrest. The scary thing about it is, there really isn't a way around real world trading. Even if you completely eliminate the trade system. Jagex has to at least try and cut it back though. Just because he manipulated prices didn't make him.. *not brave*. And actually, if Jagex limits how much you can PK with, takes away dropping, takes away trading, then there is no way people can give items to another. yes there is... they can just sell the bots themselves. I'd bet that people would pay for acounts with 10m on them and 70 wcing or whatever. it would still emiminate a huge portion of RWT tho because most of the people who buy are people who want the money on their own acounts.
-
i highly dout thats how its going to work. there is going to be a price set for each itum based on prices right now, and you cant sell for any more or less than that. you dont get to set watever price you want. that would never work, there would be tons of people in there trying to sell anything for 500m or watever just to take up space.
-
heh, this wouldnt stop rwt. they could just sell their supplys at the grand exchange and then... oh hang on it would! it would eliminate the transfer of a large amount of money from one person to the other for free, or for any price under what is worth it. plus, they added another tab thing (the assist tab, below the trade tab) which is a bit anoying. they're probably going to take out the trade tab to make as many options as there were before. I hope they dont get rid of the drop system, i just think they should only make it possible for you to see your drop. after the time, it dissapears instead of apearing to everyone else. because many people drop itums because they dont have room, but later they eat food or watever and have enough room to pick it up.

Tip.it Times Presents: Remembering the Good ol' Days.
snake6man replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
nice article, it had a lot of good points. a lot of questions too, but oh well. I think a good example of this is people complaining about how expencive everything is now compaired to how it was back then. but when you think about it, the prices are pretty much the same. a bottle of soda used to be worth a penny, but minimum wage was like 10 pennies. a bottle of soda now is like a dollar, and minimum wage is like 8 dollars. so it really hasn't changed that much. P.S. most of this might be completly wrong. I'm pretty sure I've heard of this prices, but i duno. if anyone could comfirm the actually prices that'd be great. -
your total level goes up by one when a new skill comes out. i bet thats what happened.

ftp isnt going downhill, its at the BOTTUM of the hill. and soon the ground is gona open up and swallow it :)

Tip.it Times Presents: Letters to the Editor #8
snake6man replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
These were both good letters. They both had some pretty good points. I'd like to point out that I like Jp7725's goal, because no matter what you do in game, you will be helping yourself achieve that goal. -
my comment are in bold most of your points had no evedence, so yea... Snake

not being able to say "sucks." iv had to say "thats a bummer" instead of "thats sucks" and I think it makes me look way to much like a grandma :(

it all depends on what you do. If you train against experiments or rock crabs, ur not gona need def, ur gona want to hit higher to get more exp. If you pk, your not gona want def because your not gona be wearing much armour anyways. If you train against slayer monsters and other high lvs, you're gona want to equal them out a bit, so that you don't get hit hard but you still damage them desently. If you train mage or range, you probably arnt even going to train your other stats but if you do it should be def, cause str and atk isnt going to help you at all when your ranging or maging. overall, i think def isnt that great of a skill if you dont use it to its full potential. If you dont use armour, str and atk will be much more useful. but if you use the armour, i'd say its easily better than str and atk. So i actually perfer def (73, 71, 82 ftw) because it helps you in a lot more situations than atk or str. Just thought of this: STR beats all if using no armour and wepons, ATK beats all if using no armour but using wepons, DEF beats all if using armour and no wepons.

That sucks, I love watching vids on youtube :( I hope if they take ALL the vids of runescape off that they have a part of the rs website where you can post your vids... thats kinda what they did with the world switcher anyways...

Attack vs. Strength: The Legendary RuneScape Battle
snake6man replied to Xeones's topic in General Discussion
LOL? We're talking about at least 80 in each stat (except Defense, which is incredibly useless ; only got 75 for dragfire shield). The highest attack requirement for anything, I believe, is 70. ok... if we're talking about higher lvs, then I'd still pick def. (im 73, 71, 82 btw) If you're training against anything better than an experiment (lv 80 skeletons, for example) its really nice not to have to use guthans so often. even with my def, i still have to use guthans too often imo. you say def is useless? str and atk are useless, as i said, when your ranging and maging. you dont use them at all. and you say you have 75 def? your stats care to differ, unless you have another account besides King Tut 777. the highest atk requirment is 75, which is the godsword. -
When I was getting bored of the normal trolls so I thought I would go and kill a lv 100+ one. With low health. With all my best stuff (cause ya know, i was gona need it to kill that hi of a lv). With my run off. With tuna lol... he hit a 39, I had time to eat one tuna and walk one space and I was dead lol. :( I had even killed them before, I just completly forgot about the "you have to use prayer" part.

Attack vs. Strength: The Legendary RuneScape Battle
snake6man replied to Xeones's topic in General Discussion
I would take def anyday. (I know this isnt the debate, but...) I'd much rather be able to withstand high lv monsters than get killed in a few hits. I can always use super pots to up my stregth and atk, and str and atk is useless when you use mage and range. But if I had to pick str or atk, id probably pick atk, because you can weild better wepons.
