  1. Tip it in general seems to have a lot of judges. A lot of the more skilling kind of persons is attracted here, it seems. People more interested in pking have tended to join the reavers. And the jugdes. Well, there don't seem to be too many joining them, I'm afraid. Well, except for me, that is. But if you're just joining this fight for having a fair chance of winning, then the reavers would be a good shot. Seeing how they won everything in the last weekends clanwars tournament.
  2. the best update to castlewars would be capped worlds imo. Have a cw world with 20 players on each team capped, one with 10, one with 50, a few without limits. It would be hard, as castlewars isn't instanced, but it would be interesting in my opinion. I don't like that nowadays you'll either barely have enough people to start a game, or you'll have to go into the worlds with hundreds of people playing. With smaller teams, then even flagholding is a challenge (as you can't have these massive teams protecting you, it's more about your own skills) and each persons skill matters more than in the enormous games.
  3. OH MY GOD! Increased the drop rates for hunter rocks! Thank you jagex. oh, and castle wars. It lost some of the appeal to me after themed world came, and killed the medium-sized worlds, as w99.
  4. Rivals mep2? This puzzle is really nothing compared to the mep2 puzzle. This quest took me a little over an hour to complete, while I don't even have an idea of how long time mep2 took me. The light puzzle, over three floors, (where each of the floors are quite big), and with problems getting from one mirror to another made that puzzle both harder and more tedious, in my opinion at least. Of course, I could be mistaken, can you point out how this puzzle quest is as bad (even though I liked both) as mep2?
  5. This is the first thing I thought while doing the puzzle as well. For something that is a little challenging, it's ruined by running around all the time. But if you look at this in the storyline, it does make sense. The body altar simply requires you to run around, and for almost an hour. That way it became a little more pleasant (and is why I actually chose to not use the infinite turns, it would make the whole thing too easy / too little tedious.
  6. The speed of slayer is something that has appealed to me. When I started slaying, I found it fun, but one of the reasons that I stuck with slayer was that getting 99 in the skill would take so long, that I wouldn't finish off the skill. I've realised now that I might eventually get 99, but I find the skill so fun that I'll continue with it. Just think if I by a reason or two liked cooking the best. If I had cooked for a year, then I would eventually get 200m xp in that skill. With slayer I'm sure I'll never reach that, and that is something appealing to me. (This is the same reason that I have never tried to get a 99. I just don't like the though of finishing off a skill.
  7. Before I started playing again half a year ago or so (after a three year break) I had 80 days of playing time, and approx. 24m total experience, giving an average xp/h to be 12500 xp/h. I just stood around alot in edgeville, chatting, and doing a lot of barrows and other low-xp activities. After November though, I've got another 30-35 days of playtime, and another 50 million experience points. Averaging me at about 60,000-70,000xp/h. I've figured that my way of playing is quite different now. The biggest reason for this though must be clan chats. I have no problems with chatting with others while gaining xp now :] (that being said, I was quite surprised right now. Might just be my math skills that failed >-<) In total, my average xp/h is about 25k xp/h :3
  8. I think the defence of the monster has a lot to say. Against greater demons in Kuradal's dungeon, then I'd say that knifes (or darts, I've actually never used those) would beat a rune crossbow, simply because you'll practically never will miss. The only problems is that picking up stuff/moving is hard to do without loosing an attack turn (luckily not as severe as loosing a turn with a crossbow), and that you'll have to run slightly more to get within the attack range. But at once you're fighting a creature that have a little more defence, then knifes and darts would probably miss too much to ace a crossbow with broad/addy bolts. Btw, I haven't tested my xp rates on anything but greaters, as I still melee most things in the dungeon. And I don't have my own computer here either, so I don't have the rates I've got through 5-6 tasks worth of ranging. I'll see if I find them when I get home again :)
  9. Saradomin sword is probably the best weapon in there (well, there's a good possibility that chaotic maul is better) by about 2k xp/h above the zamorakian spear. (remember that they are weak to crush) If you can't afford one of these two, then perhaps torag's hammers, or a barrelchest anchor could be quite good.
  10. At the moment, wergalis are the best seed to farm, giving you an average profit of over 45,000 gp per seed. But their seeds might be a litlte hard to get hold of. I have had an offer in for max the last day, and have only got 10 seeds so far. If you have scroll of life, and a decent amount of cash, then snapdragons are quite good if you can't get any wergali seeds, otherwise toadflax or ranarrs are a decent third choice for herb farming. :)
  11. Wergalis are still the most profitable herb to farm at the moment, so I would continue to do them, as they are in average 47k profit each seeds nowadays, with the second best seed being snapdragons at 37k. (if you have scroll of life, that is) Wegali seeds are a little hard to buy, but as you apparently have enough of them, that won't be a problem.
  12. I'm a little surprised there isn't more people that actually pick up their piles here. If you are careful with your timing, it's possible to pick up almost every drop without loosing any time at all, as you have quite a lot of time in between each attack with your weapon. Some tasks can give 20k+ each task by simply picking up the stackable drops you get. If I do this? Not with gold piles worth under 2k; I'm terribly bad in thinking about several things at once (and a quite lazy as well), so I'm better off by not even trying, unless it's valuable runes or something like that.
  13. Hmm. This looks interesting. I wonder how this will turn out. Also, i'll join the Lords, I guess. I was always a kind of deontological person anyways :]
  14. So I think I'm officially a nolifer now >.< Half the school had exams, so the rest of us had no school today >.<
  15. Wow; I liked this a lot! Stop motions are always great to look at when they are made well, and terrible to look at when they are bad. Needless to say, this one was very good. As said, there are small things here and there that could be fixed, but the overall impression is great! And I have to agree with the other ones, the internet part was without doubt the best. :)
  16. Heh - I've been hoping that they would take away the turquoise since the last graphical update to zanaris. It hurts my eyes x]
  17. In the rsof thread, Mod Ash states that the quest isn't planned as a gm quest, but rather a medium length master quest. :) Looks promising imo :D 1 click make-x interfaces is what im looking forward to tbh :P (this will not be released with the quest though, if ever) [sarcasm]No omg, it makes runescape to easy, devalues my 99's! Only idiots with no patience will now continue to play runescape! Thanks Jagex, thanks Mod Ash for ruining runescape[/sarcasm] Seriously though, I saw that as well; I'm really looking forward to that, if they manage to get it in there :D

  19. I dont understand how people can make the connection between Runescape Private chat and a Cell Phone Number. The basic principles is similiar. Having RuneScape private chat 'on' means you are letting yourself receive messages that you may otherwise would not want to receive. Same could apply to cell phone numbers, if everyone knew what the number was. But still, if we are going to follow the same analogy, then everyone can check out what your phone number is, trough a fast check in the phone book, or on the internet, unless you've asked specific to have a secret number. Anyways, I usually have my private chat to friends, but if I'm in an extra bright mood, I'll turn it on, just in case someone asks me for help, or someone I've been monster hunting with (and I've forgot all about) invites me for a trip. But is it rude to have it set to friends, I wouldn't say so. Most strangers that want to contact you only know you because they are right beside you, and could therefore speak to me through public chat. But putting public chat to off, or friends might be quite arrogant though (though I must admit to doing it sometimes when tired, doing low-attention training and listening to music) mostly because other people can't know that your public chat is off, and still try to talk to you, even though you don't hear anything.
  20. Looks like we'll be seeing a few quests in the upcoming time. And since quests are the part of rs that is most fun for me - YAY.
  21. You havent got a 99 yet then you dont know what it feels like to get a 99 yet. When you get a skill too 99 you are relieved that now you can train leisurley and dont have to think about it. Having a skill stop at a level is definatley a good thing. After that you can play for ranks if you really care about the skill so much... You might be right, but I still believe that this is different from person to person, and their way of playing. The reason that I have no 99 skills, is just that I do not want the feeling of finishing a skill. I'd rather work on getting all my skills up another 5 levels, or 10 levels, or even just 1 level. And knowing that I'll never max out, and not even get 99 in a lot of skills is a relief for me, not something frustrating. But again, this is because I don't have a very goal-oriented way of playing. (this might be why I'm at the total level I'm on, almost always is one of the persons with least total xp - 1984 total with just 69m xp)
  22. I love how that if you take a full 360 degree turn, then you continue in the exact same way. ^^, (not meant to criticize jagex or anything, just found it a bit fun :3) Also, finishing the mahjarrat storyline will be a bit sad, but also epic, fantastic, fun, amazing and all that stuff. I'm a quest nub, and I really hope that quest will be amaing. (just think about that they started this storyline with temple of ikov all those years back (or perhaps it was the hazeel cult, both came before I started playing)
  23. I don't really get why there's a problem with having this skill last as long as it does. It would really just give a reason to train the skill past 99, for more than just the xp. Even though I'm actually not 99 in any skills yet, I would still like that all/most skills actually lasted longer than 13m xp. I don't like the thought of "finishing" a skill. For me, rs is about training the skills I like a lot, and keep improving them. Having more levels past 99 would give a better reason to continue to train those skills. Qeltar put it quite good though: It's the journey that is the point, not the goal. Although this of course doesn't fit for everyone, some people are very determined about where they are going. But I'd say that this skill would be nothing but a new goal for them. Or in other ways - the end game. (which some people seem to have imagined as having finished a solo game with a storyline (like say the campaign part of AoE.)
  24. Well, that would be the best, but having a priority list of which one to get first isn't too dumb either. But which one to get first is mainly preference though, a pker would get maul, a monster hunter long, and a slayer rapier first. This thread may help inform people of the different used of the weapons, and therefore help them with making up their minds :]
  25. Yeah, I got a ranarr seed back from a wergali seed last week, so I guess it's a bug. But I, and probably others have sent in a bug report for it, so It will probably be fixed soon. :) As for the chance of it happening: The first week I was getting seeds back all the time, before I even knew it was supposed to give back from living patches, so I dropped all of the seeds I got, in fear of being banned for bug abuse. Now after this, I've barely got any seeds. But this just shows how probability works. 1 in 10 simply means an average of 1 in 10. :) I find this to be a very useful thing to buy. And 10,000 tokens isn't really that expensive anyway. :)
