Nobody really smiths rune anymore, or uses any of the obby weapons. The capes might rise in price a little, but definitely nowhere above 400k. Furies might go down to 3M, or slightly less, so don't expect this update to change much.

 

 

 

If you're thinking of merching furies, you don't have much time now since they are 3.8-4M and obby weapons and capes are already up.

It takes 216 rune ore to get 260,000 tokkul.

 

 

 

216 x 12k each = 2.6m

 

 

 

Looks like a smart way to buy a fury accutally. Only thing I can think of that would go wrong with it is the price after you sell. Sell, alch....,sell, alch.. etc wouldn't be bad though. Plus rune ore is easy to get.

It's a later goal, but this will make 85 mining way more profitable.

Well... I guess it would be profitable for about the 3 days everyone DIDN'T know about this method. I imagine the prices of furies will be droping soon. that, or rune ore will rise. I guess it will just depend.

interesting, i remember buying a fury day it was released, equipped it, laughed and sold it a day later. Being a strength fiend, I wear the strength ammy....who needs the small amount of defense? bah. I don't even know why they call it the fury, should be called the "rock" ammy, "Defense++ ammy" or something along those lines. since it's really just a glorifed and overpriced defense ammy. calling it "fury" was like false advertising.....furious is more along the line of how I felt after finding out its stats. but hey if you like having one of everything, then sure, it's a nice bauble, and it at least has stats, unlike the paper hat craziness.

from what i hear, rune mining is fairly time consuming. taking like an hour per trip.

 

 

 

And furies were always available for free, if you barrowed for a week and kept the chaos, you usually had enough for a fury.

 

 

 

Well, I usually mine about 50 in an hour, so it'd take me about 2 hours to get enough rune ore for a fury.

 

 

 

But now that you mention it, I might just do this so I can afford a fury (so I'll lose even more if I die in Barrows). Then again, I might just get a berserker necklace or ring of stone. Who knows?

Having 99 mining only plays a minor role in rune mining... How fast you can complete a rune ore is more dependent on how well you can find a world with spawned rune rocks before everyone else, not on mining lvl... In fact I have witnessed a few lvl 85 miners who "owned" me in the mining process. Can say I'm unlucky :boohoo:

it is not 90 rune ore per onyx, its ~233 rune ore per onyx, and youd have to change worlds 233 times for that(1120 tokkul per ore)

ok well i dont knoiw much about the tokkul stuff cuz i never really been down there :P ... But anyways, So if i mined 250 Rune ore... I could basically go trade it for a onyx stone? well with me wearing those gloves? Blah i was mining rune anyways..... sounds like a little better way then smithing it :P , if furys stay up in price.

you are saying 6600 clicks take as long as 1000 !!!!! mans to kill ? no way.

 

6600 can be done in a lot less time.

your forgetting the number pad 5...you can sell all the tokkul(or 100k willow long(u)s) in no time at all..just by repeatedly mashing one simple button...but you might want to go buy a cheap keyboard or key pad extention..because after a few times the 5 key might go dead...

did you read the thread? you need the gloves.. if you have gloves it sells for 3 times the normal price, otherwise it doesn't work.

If you really want an onyx get 15 obby muals. I made 1.4 mil in a few hours from buying mauls then trading my onyx for a fury then selling the fury.

I make around 1m-1.2m an hour using the rune ore method, its alot better than 1.4m in a few hrs. And its not shaky at all, I've been doing it for 2 days now. I make 800-1m ea.

I was wondering, would it be possible to buy a fury by selling rune ore to the gem/ore store? It sells for about 1.2k tokkul an ore so it is about 230 rune ore with the new gloves. 230 rune ore is 230 x 11000= roughly, 2550000. (2.55mil)

 

 

 

if you kept hopping to empty worlds you could find some that would give max price, or you could sell 110+ to a single store.

 

 

 

why would people not use this method for buying furies? I was wondering since I had just discovered it by looking in a store. You could get nearly free furies if you had 85+ mining.

Double Edit: confirmed by evil eye, it would take 232 rune ore to get tokkul for onyx, with gloves.

 

 

 

Edit again: with ore and mauls, as suggested by some poster whos name I forgot, selling a maul and ore to each store, with lowest store price for rune ore being 600 tokkul? and lowest maul being 15k tokkul? mauls are 140k ea, that is 12 rune ore, about so mauls and ore would be more efficient. 10 mauls and 100 rune ore should get 260k tokkul, which would be onyx price with gloves

 

 

 

 

 

The thing is, like with chaoses when you sell them to the rune store there starting at about 20 peices each... after selling a couple, the prices shoot down to about 700 tokkul each. I tried this, and I found myself ending up without enough tokkul by far. I didn't sell every single rune ore, only about 20-30 before I decided this was not worth it. Don't try this, you won't make a profit.

rune ores cant be mined fast eunaugh to influence the price of furys- there are about 6 rune rocks in rs and the spawnrate is 12 minutes- with about 40 servers thats less than 3k rune ores an hour max- not even near eunaugh.
