Decline In Fury Prices

Personally, I'm glad fury prices are crashing. Furies were way too expensive for their worth anyway; rightfully, they should cost around 3m each. 5m for something that's barely better than a glory is just ridiculous.

 

 

 

furys were not too expensive, in fact i belive they were too cheap, its the best amulet in the game and needs 90 crafting and 87 magic to make, those are some pretty hefty stats, not to mention onyx are hard to get

all items are droping in price(not rares they drop rise then drop again) i belive ill see a day whe whips are <1mil

 

just acept it and move on i mean why would u want an ammy at 5mil when you could just save up anothe rmil and get veracs

this is how i feel about most updates, i dont have a fury because imo they're over priced, but i dont think everything should be catered to lower level players just because they can't do something

Pure essence collapsed. I had 12k P ess in my bank. I decided to keep it, because as long as I do not sell it, I do not lose money on it.

 

 

 

Same counts for furies. If you buy a furie for a small moment, to sell it a small moment later. Well, you are *cabbaged*. Merchanters got a piece of their own. And well others that got taken down with the price. To bad for you.

 

 

 

But in the end, it is a good thing. I want a furie to, but not at 5M, I rather buy a set of Veracs in that case. 3M, which is still to expensive for me, sounds more reasonable. If the demand is high, prices will go up a bit so more people will get onyx stones. Don't worry.

And why wouldn't it hold much purpose if low lvls can hold them ? It's still the best amulet in the game, the amount of people that can hold it won't change it's stats while you kick dragons [wagon] would it?

And about the price going down, what's the matter ? It's obvious that if you can buy an onyx 13% cheaper and sell runes / obby weaons X% more expensive, then yeah.... obviously the prices will go down (13+X) %

i paid 5m for mine a while back lol.. i bought it cause it looks nice and is slightly better than glory... I am not at all concerned about the price go down or up i have no intentions on sellin .. It was gonna drop eventually

I bought an uncut onyx (the day before the update) for 4.7Mil, looking to turn a 200k profit by having a friend of mine with 99 crafting make a fury out of it. I give him the onyx, he gives me the fury, I log out for the day. I get back on, and prices have plummeted to 4.5M. 400k Swing, and I lost 200k off of it.

The price was always going meant to come down, everything is meant to do that. It just wasnt happening by the market so Jagex did used their own intervention to help out the price drop. Governments do this all the time, think of it as onyx subsidies. And if you are upset at buying one at 4+ mil and them settleing at 3m, what about people who bought whips at 30+ mil and people who bought d chain at 30+ mil which have now settled, for the time, at 1.6m and ~15m respectively. This is the way the game works with high priced equipment.

Hey it happens 5.8m for my whip about 2 years ago and you dont see my whining about it, I paid about 5.4m for my fury a couple of months after it came out and Im not crying over it. The point is that it wont go back up, but it wont go down alot more. Contrary to popular believe some items should be rather exclusive, not that furies are classified under such any more but its still nice to have something NOT EVERY ONE ELSE has in rs.

 

 

 

What you see here is that most of these posts come from people who dont like working for the stuff they achieve in rs and you won't convince them to go to your side by any means. Its obvious that the prices would go down if less tokkul was requiered, after all you're saving about 3-4k chaos runes per fury, making the effort to get an onyx less (you can now get 11 onyxes in the time you got 10 before) those are the 2 factors that made the price decrease. I would expect that chaoses would either go up a wee bit or reach a point where they're finally stable.

They're the main reason for the large drop. With karamja gloves, shop buyback prices on obby weapons has increased dramatically (from 7.5k to 17.5k for obby maul), and the onyx price has dropped from 300k to 260k tokkul.

 

 

 

Anyway, I know what it's like to lose money off an update, happens quite often to me. I don't think you should be worried that they're crashing (you don't have to like it but there's nothing wrong with the rs economy), the gloves shake things up a lot and naturally lower the price.

I think it was very bad how the best weapon in the game went down also. I mean 1.6m is just not enough money to get your slayer up to (what 81?) anymore.

Of course i wished it was lower when i first got it. But after i had it i realized that it was my money well spent.

 

 

 

Believe me, getting slayer 85 is still worth every second slaying. Arround 8 whips a week, not a bad money maker while training combat.

Now, I can see why you would be mad/annoyed/whatever, but you have to expect the prices of "renewable"/makeable items to drop over time as more of them make their way into the game.

 

 

 

The only difference between, say, my dragon wc axe and your fury is that some updates helped to speed up the process of the price drop for your fury. I bought my axe for 3.2 mill and I really don't expect to get that much back for it, but I'm still going to hang onto it for as long as I have an actual use for it (meaning until I get 99 wc :P ).

its an amulet! no way should it be worth 4mil for something that adds about 10 to each stat... I'll stick with my glories which stick 6 onto each stat and cost around 4mil cheaper...

Everything you buy in RuneScape, except for maybe rares, will go down in prices eventually. More and more people are getting 85 Slayer, KQing, hunting Dust Devils, doing clue scrolls, etc. Jagex is also creating more ways to make those things easier and more affordable.

well, because rune prices are very stable, and fury price has always been connected to the price of death and chaos runes, fury prices have always been very stable.

 

 

 

True. But, if we look about 2 years back, prices for runes were greater than they are today; correct me if I'm wrong. So I'm pretty sure furies would cost even more then. But once again, more people fight monsters, barrows, craft the runes, therefore price drop. :anxious:
