Blackarch2
Although this has probably already been posted, I just thought I'd show you all. Everybody knows Tenzing, right? The cool sherpa you all meet during the Death Plateau quest? Guess where JaGeX got the name for him? [hide=Tenzing][/hide] Tenzing Norgay. The second man to step on top of the world. On the very FIRST, successful, Mount Everest Journey! [hide=Tenzing Norgay][/hide] Tenzing Norgay was a sherpa at the young age of 14. Ever since he had loved mountains and that would lead him to the world's hardest achievement. [hide=Resources] http://www.tenzing-norgay.com/pages/ten ... herpa.html[/hide] : Mmm... Mudkipz... OldJoe
Nice one. I guess there are more NPC's named after other humans who's achieved something. That is what i think. firsttsurugi
tenzing is actually a very common sherpa name, along with others like Pasang, but that is most likely the reason for the name. Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so. Don't post things you act like you know about. When they both reached the bottom. Hillary wrote a story that depicted their "epic" struggle to be the first to the top of Everest. Hillary's side of the story made it seem like he was the reason they got to the summit. Which, in retrospect, isn't true. He did also say that he reached the summit first. Which, in fact, he was telling the truth. This was confirmed by Tenzing Norgay in his side of the story called, "The Dream Has Come True". View from the Summit ~ Told by Hillary The Dream Has Come True ~ Told by Tenzing Norgay EDIT: I really shouldn't say Hillary wrote a story. It was more a story published by the press. Mmm... fakeitormakeit
I didn't know the connection, although the name does ring a bell. Off-Topic: You know Fortuno or what ever his name is in Draynor selling wine? Well if you examine him and you know what movie he's from, you'll get the reference.
