If you did that would completly mess up the jagex system b/c then you'd have about a million request coming in for something at once, and would they update the friends list and clan chat, and everything like that?

Simple solution if they ever made this would be to keep your current name as a 'screen name' of sorts, then have a screen come up asking which character to play as, so maybe multiple characters per screen name, and only one allowed on-line at a time, as well as only a single screen name allowed per I.P address.

 

 

 

Problems: Friends.. your name changing would change the players on your friends list.

 

The macros would change it alot, to get out of bans and such.

 

Etc.

I'd sign for a RSN change though. I made my current one when I was 13 years old, somewhere in 2001.. I hate it, and I want to get rid of it.

It could work BUT:

 

 

 

-You should only be allowed to change it once a year or something alike

 

 

 

-Players could check ANY PREVIOUS names which you have had in order to recognize who this truelly is. This to prevent people who have a bad reputation for reason X to change their name and try do more X'y stuff.

 

Also as recognition for CLANS. You could simply change your name and apply to a new clan and spy there ... no one would know who you truelly are unless you can check any previous names.

I'm not sure what i'd do tbh. As much as I hate my name, I've been Legolas61620 for the past 3 years and it has really become my runescape identity. If you could only change it once I'd just stick with my current name. It's pretty amusing getting comments about me no-lifing because they think I've had my name for like a week. Really my stats are horrible for 3+ years.

I wonder, do player moderators get a name change when they become one? I have noticed player mods are called Mod Elvis , Mod Craddock. I have never seen a mod with numbers in their name.

It'd be utter chaos but I still hope it'll happen :D . I hate my name... if I got the chance I'd change it right away to something along the lines of: anaculate , vendetta of, or something cool like that =P

Easy answer.

 

You can't make a name with "mod" in it, that has been disable years ago.

 

And they get entitled a new character.

 

It is also Jagex rules, that a mod character cant interact with his "player" character, if he has a playing character.

 

 

 

These are new rules, not applied until a few years ago, when Jagex started hiring staff.

The only thing that might get me to change it is if they add an extra character space (which I know they wont) I would change it to Robin Hood Jr.

 

hahaha imagine if Jagex added a feature where you could the change the name of your character. And also imagine if you could add prefixes to your character's name to confuse noobs. Imagine if you wore a yellow party hat and add a prefix to your name ,a prefix like Prince, King, Queen, Lord, Sire, Master, Duke and such. Would that be a good idea? I would like to change my name. This member account was setup as a gift from my cousin. I then made it my main. And no she did not give me her account. She just created the account and made it a member. I did the whole tutorial island and everything.

I would hope they limited how frequently you could change it. I would think maybe Elendil.

If they recycled some of the old, un-used names AND let us change our name well then I would be overjoyed.
