I was reading about the forum on "The Great Tip Pic of 2008", and I have my picture, will there be another forum post for the Tip Pics because I looked around the forum and i can't find the forum for it. Oh, and can you tip it staff please make the deadline for the Tip Pics later than December 1st because of the forum downtime. ty I'm really sorry that guy backstabbed you guys. I really hope you will be able to recover from it. Our tip it community is large, and we can start all over on the forums if we must. NONE SHALL BACK STAB US AGAIN!!! THIS IS SPARTA!! I MEAN TIP IT!!!! Yes! :) The Tip Pic 2008 is not a staff project but I will get it back on the forum with in the week. :) As far as the deadline, December 1st was an approximate date. Odd's are however that the date will be close to that. :o The reason being is that we need time to get it all packaged up with a background and border's and small additions. :) You mean that all of the pictures that were submitted but not applied to the Great Tip Pic were saved? A friend told me about 5 minutes ago that he had saved my guide on another website and could give it to me...so I was all excited...and then he just "gave it to me" and it was just a link to the guide on Tip.it. Lol, but that just made it all feel worse...and then I saw I had a new PM from you! And it was my guide with all the pictures and such! Thanks again! I lost 700+ (Yes, I'd evolved into an "Ice Giant Melter", and then some!) posts, most of which were pretty darn useful, and my PPD has been utterly smashed into the "<4" range. It is going to be 2 years before I hit ">5" again, I think. *sigh* ~Mr. D. V. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... Can we ask, what was the person's motive for doing this? As said they did it as a kind of leaving present, but had they been wronged recently or were they just a [cabbage] irl? Want to be my friend? McGuff1 Posted June 9, 2008 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Unfortunately one of our own staff, an ex tech admin who maintained the forum for a number of years, backstabbed us as his goodbye act. He used his inside technical knowledge to hurt us. Tip.It has lost hundreds if not thousands of dollars that I will have to cover, but what is more important is the loss of 2 and half months of creativity from our community: ideas, guides, jokes, links and much more. We worked hard to recover whatever was possible and for this we can thank Darko and especially Marshalrusty who spent sleepless nights and a ton of his free time to bring the forums back. His help was priceless. We shall recover from that. He'll have to live with his conscience. Thanks Darko Marshalrusty and all the staff for this site. It's good to be back.
