Haha, think of how PO'd the people that worked so hard to get 65 smithing for Devious Minds alone are right now...

That was an awesome quest. Challenging, too. But incredibly entertaining. And 100k total exp rewarded? Shhyeah.

Horrid quest.

The amount of jumping around is astoundingly annoying.

Rewards nice and is quite amusing but man, I just hate quests that involves "go fetch".

thought this quest was going to be hard and long but was short and boring, just a bunch of running around, not one monster to kill, :(

The no killing was part of why I loved it. It's been a while since we've had a real Skiller's Quest.

Quest was great. It's nice to see a high level quest.

I got pretty wound up last night reading the RSOF at the sheer volume of members who moaned the requirements were too high and they couldn't wear there cape. What did they expect, that Jagex wouldn't make any more quests with higher requirements?

If someone only ever gets the levels for a quest then they should expect that in the future that level with be superseeded with a new quest. Therefore it makes sense to raise your skills higher than current lowest requirement if you wish to be able to do all quests on day of release. I forget the last quest I actually had to work to achieve the stats for but I needed 73 smithing for the Varrock Diary. Jagex gave people plenty of chance to raise there smithing to this level but people chose not to do the diary to it's full extent.

Also what is the issue with people moaning that it will cost them 3mil to get levels for this quest? It will cost you nothing other than time if you train it efficiently and you may even make a profit. If you chose to get the levels with mithril gear then it's your choice. You can always make your own bars, or cannon balls. The fact you can't buy raw materials currently due to demand isn't Jagex's problem either, as mentioned above they have given members ample time to get higher levels in a skill.

I strongly believe that the quest cape should have 80-90 skill requirements. Runescape isn't just for mid-level players and the higher level players deserve high level updates. This has the added bonus of giving mid-level players something to aim for and lower level players a chance to sell raw materials for a decent price. I know it is annoying for someone to have a quest cape one day and not the next but thats the whole nature of the quest cape. It isn't just a one-time reward, you have to earn in again month after month after month.

Anyway I was very pleased with the quest. Nice length, nice story and opened up a whole can of worms for future updates.

Haven't done it myself seeing as I still need 3 more smithing levels, but I can't wait to do it, especially after having seen the new parrot.

The no-killing part of the quest sounds good, Because I had to sell my whip to buy ores.(yeah, i'm lazy :P)

Another pirate quest :D. That's great; I love pirates. And this one seems to include a lot of great and traditional pirate action. It's real sad that I don't got the requirments, but hopefully I will meet them soon. And then I will set my sail and rock out :)

The pirate quest line reminds me very much of the Monkey Island game by LucasArt. Especially this last quest. Getting Lukes attention was very LucasArtish.

And getting the idol. When the pirate said that you would have to hold your breath for a long time, it reminded me of Guybrush Threepwoods famous motto: I can hold my breath for 10 minutes!

Grr, they removed some of the Rimmington willows for the customs locker house. A lot harder to firemake now since you have to run around a willows tree after cutting the logs in a farther spot.

I got the last smithing level last night.

Finally, something to work for. I have to admit, I "stewed" the varrock diary pt3, and last night I was reminded WHY: I hate smithing as it is S.....L......O.....W...... Thank god I had enough ores to get my last level, else there woulf be even more mining...ugh.

As for the quest, i'll do it later tonight when I'm able to. It better be good!

Wow yeah, same here. I've never seen so much whining over somethin so petty, i mean, it's not even 700k exp in a skill. I think it's about time they made a quest that you needed to work to be able to do. I remember training myself up for legends and that was probably more enjoyable than the quest itself.

Personally i don't think i have any of the required quests to do this one  think it's time for a mass questathon when i'm done with slayer.

Sigh, its been a long long time since I actually needed to train skill levels for a quest. The last quest I remembered training so hard for was either Devious Minds (Smithing Lvl) or Fairytale 1/2 (Herblore Lvl). Now its crafting and smithing...

I admit, Im rather lazy to train my skills but it does feel good to actually work hard for a quest now (Not that I dont for every other). Still, the smithing and crafting requirements will mean burning a huge hole in my very small wallet. :(

Nope sorry, you need to naturally have the levels apparently.

I heard that too.

During the quest you don't really do anything with your levels. You do things which could be viewed as smithing/crafting but it's nothing level specific. I don't even know why you need 65 agilty, maybe to leave the prison? I dunno. It isn't like Fairy Tale Pt 2 where you can get to a set point before needing the herblore level to make the magic ess pot.

Therefore I would assume you need all levels from the word go before talking to Bill Teach.
