Do You Run?

Nike makes TERRIBLE running shoes but excellent [bleep]es. Go figure.

I used to put my NB shoes with the [bleep]es from Nike, they lasted like 5 races before they broke off, but man was it 'gripping'. =P

Then I found these babies:

Love them. New Balance 505.

I used to swim about 5km a day, bar Sundays, but never could seem to get skinny, lol. Guess I'm just a built kind of person. The pool shut down and the club moved away, and I don't have the interest or the will to get to the only other pool near my place or start something new. Swimming was kinda my niche.

I used to wear an older version of these for the mile:

They were great up until I accidentally stepped on the concrete drain and broke the [bleep]e well and cracked the plate.

Can't find a picture of my current [bleep]es. They are kind of like these, but have [bleep]es instead of waffle:[hide=]untitled2.jpg[/hide]

I ran a ton over the Winter and lost a lot of weight, I love it! But now I'm bulking so I toned it down, I'm actually trying to gain weight back, hehe.

Metal fans, check out my band!

I generally run once a week. Most of the time I get to about 3 1/2 miles, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on how a feel and the pollen count (having asthma makes it really sketchy sometimes)

Those look very nice as well, they are lightweight right? Then again [bleep]es can get annoying. =P

Running without [bleep]es sometimes though is just relaxing through the legs, almost like a massage, I don't know, but it feels good. :)

I've never really been a huge fan of running, but I might try the whole running at night/early morning thing this summer. Since it's been pretty hot, there's no way I'm running during the day. But I've always been a fan of late night walks, so late night running can't be much different :P

Yes. I do.

I run 6 days a week, one day for rest. I actually have a strict schedule for myself that I follow almost religiously. It's really effective if anyone would want to take a crack at it themselves.

Monday and Wednesday I do an Aerobic workout: 2 mile, rest, 1 mile, rest, and then a half mile. I then do a core workout for like 30 minutes.

Tuesday and Thursday I do an Anaerobic workout which alternates between hill sprint intervals and half mile sprints (2 minute-ish sprints, and four of them). Then I do a full upper body gym rotation.

Then Saturday and Sunday I do a little kick-around with my friends and I do a bit of running; a medley of sorts.

I'm heavy duty football (soccer) player so I need to keep myself in really good shape because next year is the year for college scouting for my age. I need to be in my best condition this year.

If you go there good things will transpire.

Yeah I used to run all the time like 5 times a week kept fairly fit. Then I got pregnant and I now roll off the couch ;)

I'll get fit again once bubs is born.

Oh my god! I'm gone for a few months and you go and get yourself pregnant and all! Congratulations!!!

On topic: I only run when chased by something decidedly bigger than me and/or evil-looking.

I do fitness, though. Well. I have the card and pay every month... Haven't been exercising as regularly as I should lately.

I run quite regularly...But I'm asthmatic so I'm out of breath damn fast.

I dunno what to suggest for shoes...If its an event,I'm wearing Nikes that I wear out to watch movies and stuff, and on my own I run barefoot,so no shoe expert...

The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".

Amen, brother

Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)

amen Bruder! (german ftw)

I'm invulnerable to everything, except Lenin and Dragoonson.

That's impossible.

I love people.[/hide]

I run about 5 km (3.1 miles) everyday, on top of weightlifting and speed and agility practices for football.

Basketball practice also keeps me in shape.

But running, especially in the early morning, has a nice feel to it. Gets you out of the house, you enjoy the fresh air and nice scenery, and you stay in shape. I love it. I might bump up the mileage each run as the summer progresses.

I used to run a lot, did cross country + every track and field event + almost every sport in elementary school :P

Grade 9 I probably ran the most (every single day.) because I was doing rowing, but I only rowed for a year so I have no real reason to run just for the sake of being in shape.

That being said, I still play a lot of sports (hockey, soccer, volleyball, skiing) so I am running all the time. I don't play at a high enough level to have hardcore conditioning at practices though ::'

I try and run for 3-4 miles every day. What do you guys listen to when run?

When i run i just listen to all RATM songs :o

WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME

#1 Wongtong stalker.

Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!

I don't run, since i hate running (duh)

I use bike to get to my summer job tho, 10 kmx2, everyday, so thats some sort of excersise. And i get there a hell lot faster than with bus.

I'm really getting into hacky sack, and it a lot more demanding than I thought it was :P

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Oscar Wilde

Funnily enough I'm going to start running/jogging next week. Probably around 5 times a week. It would be a distance of a mile, though at around 7am. :P I decided that I don't do much exercise, so it would obviously do me good. :)

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

RIP Michaelangelopolous

I was more of a sprinter from years 7-9. I kinda stopped running after I had a bad accident. Long Distance Running has never been my strong point, relay races can be fun... but overall I'm more of a thrower than a runner. :)

I prefer to cycle than to run, running Tires me out quicker than Cycling. I like to cycle around the countryside

That's probably not too good because I'm very out of shape. Oh well, I guess laziness prevails... #-o

i usually rune like 2-3 miles a day i got into from soccer cause at practice out coach would make us run till he got tired and left :?
