Powman3
Kid was trying to show off and he got decapitated. Although I feel sorry for his family, I don't feel sorry for him. Act like an idiot, and dumb things happen to you. Death isn't funny really. Even if it the person killed is a freaking [wagon]. I won't deny that the kid was being freaking stupid, shouldn't have gone through there. EDIT: Wow, Deloria. Just wow.
the49ronin
"The teen, who visiting the park with a church group from Springfield, South Carolina, was decapitated, she said." i misread that quote the first time... that vague impersonal pronoun at the end made me think the teen claimed she had been decapitated <the49ronin> O_o methinks ard is acting mighty high and pretty -.- <Ard_Choille> I am pretty <Ard_Choille> fo shizzle
Wizz
Same thing happend here a couple of years ago but in Disney Land. All the Deaths in Disney Land are from Stupidity except 1, that only one was because of bad Safety Precautions. doomy
He fails, not only because he was killed after scaling a six foot wall and being hit by a coaster train, but because it wasn't (probaly) original enough to qualify for a darwin award as well. Sad for their family though. Oh and if it is on there, well, I failed as well, I'm checking now P Doomy edit: I like sheep

Gehackte
Well yeah i can't say anything than his own stupid fault. I dont say he deserved to die but rather him than someone who was jsut enjoying the ride. I feel more bad for the people who were riding the ride at that moment How does 20 minutes turn into 2.5 hours? Was your math perhaps magical math? InkofDeath
We can't say that we've never done anything stupid, we can only say that we're lucky nothing bad happened when we did do something stupid. That's very true indeed, but most things we do that are stupid, are unintentional, because we don't know any better. Stuff like this where they knew there was danger, and they were completely ignorant to all the warnings and the fact that the danger was rolling around at 50Mphs, shouldn't be counted as stupidity, or the word isn't right for intentional idiotic actions like this. I read on Darwin that a guy bought a tree shredder, and died from him because he didn't know any better, or didn't know to use it. That isn't funny, or anything, and for stuff like this I understand where your coming from. But from stuff that people know there is danger, and they ignore it for whatever reason, it's way too difficult to feel sorry for them, as there's nothing to feel sorry for. Whether or not the death was justified.
toast647
It was on the news like 2 weeks ago and apparently the kid was trying to get his hat he lost, but other news channels say different stuff. What a moron though, I mean seriously...why would he go there, he should've at least looked to see if anything was coming if he was going by the ride. assassin_696
Yes, the kid was stupid, but all this crap about it now improving our gene pool sounds horribly elitist, even if it said in jest. dsavi
Reading this, I just thought about the last bit in Weird Al's "Constipated" song. Decapitated by a roller coaster as well. [hide=]Ooh, I had so much on my mind, I thought maybe I'd unwind. Try out that new roller coaster ride, And the guide... Said not to stand, but that's a demand, That I couldn't meet, I got on my feet, And stood up instead and knocked off my head you see. Tell me. Why'd I have to go and get myself decapitated? This really is a major inconvenience, oh man I really hate it. It's such a drag now. I can't eat, I can't breathe, I can't snore, I can't belch or yodel anymore, Can't spit or blow my nose or even read Sports Illustrated. Oh no![/hide] Can't say I feel sorry for him. speedofsound
Why don't you make a topic that isn't about a news article once in a while Mlb? On topic: Kid's a [wagon], he could've easily just told the park attendent that he lost his hat. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you." Zierro
Looks like people still have the whole "darwinism attitude". Let's try to achieve this through empathy. Imagine you are at a theme park with your son and you are having a good time. Your son wanders off for a few hours. Later in the day, you get news that your son died from a roller coaster by wandering into a restricted zone. All stupidity aside - your son is still dead. It's not like he can learn from his mistakes either. It's a permanent devastation. By the way, if this "darwinism" theory is true, then explain why 4chan still exists.
