I've notice the Roman Numeral of One. Are they planning on releasing more books?

Yeah I was thinking that too, probaly means they will.

Anybody with spoilers plox? I'm never gonna read it, but tbh the Runescape history and stories are actually pretty interesting. (imo)

(Put them all in hide tags for those that havn;t read it though)

Doomy edit: I like sheep

Why do you have a temporary tatoo on?

My copy is "Despatched".

Lets hope I get it soon, should be a good read. ::'

Nah, they never put golden tickets in any.

I thought I heard on the website or something that one person has a chance of like winning 10 books or so, all with Andrew Gowers and the Authors autograph...

But when I checked again I could find the information again :?

Yeah and if you returned the book you got to own jagex and your family could move in and they have dwarves that work in there that sing songs

We have also drawn the Betrayal at Falador prize winners. Ten lucky people have been notified that they have won a RuneScape novel signed by TS Church, Andrew Gower, Paul Gower, Jagex CEO Geoff Iddison and the cover artist.

You didn't answer my question. So what is the outside world Highlanders? Hopefully, your childish brain can handle a question like that.

Its quite obvious what the outside world is, and why that expression is used. Many gamers get carried away with their gaming habits, and lose sight of perspective. And in that loss of perspective, buying a book about their favourite mmorpgs actually sounds like a good idea. People would be ready to buy posters, t-shirts, teddy bears, and all sorts of ridiculous merchandise if they could. Talking seriously about buying a mmorpg book, from an author that has never published before, and an obvious stunt from Jagex to make more money, is an obvious sign of losing that perspective. Thus the nerdiness.

Not that I'm explaining that for you, heh.

Childish? Coming from someone using vulgar expressions like grow hair on your balls, heh, well idiots do often come as hypocrites as well, that's no surprise.

You're assuming everyone who is going to buy the book has no life. Its a bloody book for god's sake. About a game. I can say the same thing about those people who buy shirts of their favourate band for ridiculous amount of cash. I can also say the same thing about social-full people who buy a 500 dollar phone just to be 'in'. I can also say the same thing about video gamers; buying a new 360 and Halo 3 Legendary edition for a lot of money. I can also say the samething about the o-so-ever-mighty players that EVERYONE apparently needs to meet thier expectations, getting laid so many times getting the risk of STDs, loss of intelligence (can't study, thats nerdy!), and breaking other people's hearts.

Ooh, this is a little plus: I'M NOT BUYING THE BOOK! Its far too much money and a bit unknown on how good it is, but do you see me flaming the people who want to buy a book?

One final question: Why do you want everyone to be as 'cool' and 'social' and 'sexy' as (maybe) you? You're going to get lots of competition with the limited number of girls aren't you? Might as well go on with your life, get laid do whatever, have the time of your life while we just grind in MMOs not taking your women, and be happy? Why can't you idiots comprend this simple, yet unknown, fact?

Since when did Paris Hilton create a TIF account? *sigh* Kid, please refrain from posting on these forums until you grow a brain and some hair on your balls. Seriously.

I'm confused. First of all because my post wasn't even directed towards you, and second of all, How do I not have a brain or balls For saying it's hard to read a book? Too hard to comprehend for you idiot? And what part of ANYTHING I said had to do with paris hilton?

Seriously get a life, if you're going to try to insult someone, do it right.

Nick failed big time. His sarcasm detector is in the shop. And he somehow thinks that anyone who dislikes reading or thinks it is a waste of time is somehow missing out on this huge enlightening experience. He probably just read those first few words and then stopped and immediately replied. Funny that such a fan of reading could pathetically fail so hard at it. I know his type, just another one of those jerk-offs who always insists "Oh my good chap the book really was MUCH better than the movie!" Only because it is a book. Liking books has nothing to do with growing hair on your balls, in fact I would think its quite the opposite.

I failed? Its not people who dislike reading I hate, its those ego-ful folks who think reading is nerdy and unacceptable. The ironic thing is they're reading this forum right now for god's sake. And I read the whole post and it was pretty stupid anti-nerd stuff and the first sentence really got my biggest attention. Regardless though, I think I see a failure in your part. Apparently I'm not one of those jerk-offs who always insist "Oh my good chap the book really was MUCH better than the movie." I personally, don't like reading books. Never have probably never will. But I know reading books shouldn't be the a degrading sin. I really do prefer plays and movies over traditional books though. And also, using the posters' own logic against him, its really ironic that reading books is such a waste of time yet the person plays/played RuneScape at sometime in his life. I mean, he's missing sex time!

I do apologize for those blunt insults last night, it was really immature of me...but really. Sometimes idiots go too far and think they're the best in this forum when, truthfully, a sex-goer is no better than a nerd.

Yeh it's fake I re-apply it daily in the exact same spot

Fooled me, it looks great lol. I might look into getting one :D

I bought the book and I'm still waiting for mine to arrive :D.

Why the hell would they quote zezima? That is dumb and 3 hit, why should they have quoted you? You were a good pker but zezima has been #1 for a loooooooooooooooooooong time... i just think quoting some one from rs was a dumb idea on the back of the book -.-

Congratulations, all of you, on receiving your books. ::' It's good to know a lot of people are actually purchasing the Runescape-based novel. I think I'll be getting it soon, also. Hopefully, Betrayal at Falador is a good read.

If not, I'll probably read the whole thing anyways,

Like some other people, I'll hunt down a copy if other people who have read it say it's good. I have a rather low expectation, but that's mostly because most the writing I read while on Rs is extremely immature people speaking in 90% chat speak with a few censored or censor avoiding words thrown in for good measure. I'm not as afraid as I was that they aimed it towards the 13> crowd they aimed the "manual" at because of the page count, but I'm still reluctant to trust a first-time author without a good word from somebody else. If it were 100ish pages with nice 16 point font for the kiddies to read, somewhere in the vein of a "Magic Tree House" (popular kids series for people who don't know) I'd run very quickly in the opposite direction. I'll try to remain optimistic until proven otherwise though.

P2P forever!... Or at least 'til <insert excuse here> happens

God, I so would buy the book, I read halo novels so hehe

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

Oh i can assure you neo this is not noob speak :P It is proper english and grammar. Very well written from what i have read. Good story as well :)

How are RuneScapians' supposed to understand it then? #-o

Not all Runescape players have an IQ half their combat level. Many of my friends on Rs are at least my age, 17. I don't think Jagex would direct the book at 13 year olds, because realistically it's the older players who are more likely to buy the book. :D

God, I so would buy the book, I read halo novels so hehe

Cole Protocol FTW!!!!!!!! i so cant wait

Ye i think i will buy a copy but i really cba putting my details in on the jagex shop so hopeful amazon will start stocking it soon

Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,

I like to think I walk this line every day.

Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man.

You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.

I just love how you ignore haft of the argument and splat out some random BS about how hard life is for nerds. Maybe we should invent a new name for them, a name that wont hurt their feelings? Boo-hoo.

You buy a book, for the price of 4 months of membership, from an unpublished author nobody has ever heard of, an OBVIOUS stunt from Jagex to make extra money, and all that because the book is about a mmorpg you like. Thats nerdy for you right there, whether you like it or not, Mr Bleeding-heart. It even has a Zezima quote on it for Christ's sake. If you fail to see how it is nerdy, then you're incredibly, incredibly stupid.
