I met a kid on the train who claimed to be facebook famous and started spitting names at me of other people who are commonly known to call themselves facebook famous from the Jersey area. I recognized a name or two. Added on facebook for shits and giggles. He has 200 more friends than me. I'm either facebook famous, or he's a bit of a poser. But he did approach me on a train that runs through 2 of the worst towns in the country and talk to me like a normal human being, so he gets points for that.

Rather eventless day other than that.

I think there's something wrong with my sense of balance at the moment. I literally cannot walk straight, it feels like I'm completely wasted and it's so bad, it's nearly making me motion sick to just walk from one room to the next. What the hell just happened to me, I was fine on Monday and then yesterday morning it suddenly came up.

Sounds like you got a case of 'the wack', bro.

Alternatively is your ear blocked or something that could be it did you lose a big toe without knowing sometime in the past couple of days??? THESE ARE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

I have really low blood pressure and stuff like that is an everyday occurrence for me. Maybe your blood pressure is low today? You could try having a coffee or tea and see if that helps at all.

Distracted, you should really see a doctor about that. You might have an ear infection, although if you're anything like me those are also accompanied by excruciating pain. It definitely sounds like you have some kind of inner ear problem and should get it looked at.

vertigo? a hell of a load of your balance comes from your ears, an infection can majorly screw you, it's horrid! when i had vertigo there wasn't any pain involved

I realised today how much i'm turning into my late grandfather. He was the kind of man that never gave you a straight answer. You would ask him something, and he would always tell you a story about the answer he was about to give you. It could be a very simple question, but it will always follow the same trend. I went to school today and someone asked me something silly. They asked me to choose between a Snickers or a Mars. I started telling them about how i used to love peanut butter, and how i find the peanuts in the Snickers along with the rest of the shit they put in there just makes it superior to anything else. A 2 second answer turned into a 5 minute discussion... This happens a lot these days :|

I was thinking of an inner ear infection too, especially when my right ear suddenly started feeling blocked, but the thing is, I only have it as severe as I posted in the morning, right now I'm feeling way better. Hell, I just took a shower, which involves a lot of small head motions, without any issue.

I did have a slight fever yesterday, but now it's mostly over. I'll go back to school tomorrow, hopefully it'll be over, and otherwise I'll go see a doctor tomorrow.

Usually this is very short term though isn't it? My blood pressure is lowish, and used to be lower. I remember coming very close to passing out a couple times from standing up to fast, but it was always something that passed in, at least what felt like, seconds, before vision, hearing, and balance went back to normal (it's not a particularly awesome problem to have, but it is kind of neat).

If it doesn't come back, certainly something to note for your family doctor the next time you see them. Maybe make a little note someplace so you can give a more detailed account to them. Off the top of my head, inner ear issues can certainly cause balance issues, as can reduced blood flow in your upper legs I think (in particular, people who wear pants that are really tight around the thigh can suffer form a few symptoms, one of them being dizziness).

And speaking of medical stuff, apparently I get to have an EKG done in the next little while to make sure certain medications haven't done anything weird to the way my heart works. Actually makes sense, considering the medications.

Low blood pressure (hypotension) can be a sign of a septic infection but I wouldn't read into it too much at this stage (not least because your BP's not even been measured). Dizziness is obviously caused by hypotension and can therefore be symptomatic of a more widespread infection, but on its own it's much more likely to caused by less serious factors such as dehydration, stress or fatigue.

I'd see your doctor if the change is that rapid. They'd probably want to check temperature since that's the main indicator of infection. But I wouldn't jump to conclusions right now, especially if it's also happening whilst standing up (you said it was happening while traveling room to room). Ear infections are more commonly associated with dizziness while lying flat.

I should've mentioned I also felt it yesterday morning while I was still in bed, then? I was honestly afraid to stand up because I was already spinning in my bed. The whole room was spinning.

But like I said, it's much better now.

That dizzyness in head when standing up doesn't come only cause of low blood pressure. I am 2 metres tall and it is a common occurrence for me. I've fallen down and fainted a few times even... But usually not. And my blood pressure is at normal levels.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

That's because us tall people have to breathe thinner air.

(I'm 2 meters tall as well)

Can you actually get more than a few seconds dizzyness from blood pressure issues? I would think your heart would always be trying to work to restore pressure when it drops, so you would never have an issue for more than a few seconds (until either your head get's pressure again, or you collapse which causes gravity to help out).

So it's pretty much set that I'm going to the University of Minnesota for college.

Yea, you can. I have moments like you said before where it's just a few moments of dizziness and then it passes, but I've also had it where it lasts for hours at a time. I don't like it :(

I didn't realize OT had so many doctors.
