March 24, 201016 yr I could have gotten a permit like half a year ago but it's not really worth getting if I don't have a car, :thumbdown:I could have gotten mine over 5 years ago, but I didn't have any real access to a car. And there isn't much point in getting it now, since I won't get to practice much. (my sisters both have theirs and neither one gets to drive very often)
March 24, 201016 yr I don't have to take the test, though. Woo. Hax? That post just made me laugh. A lot.
March 24, 201016 yr I'm currently reading Our Daily Meds (a good book, btw) while planning my route for the first good day to bike ride. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." March 24, 201016 yr Are you actually saying that a stick shift is a good reason to not drive a car? What the hell is wrong with you?! D:

March 25, 201016 yr The idea of an automatic gear thingy is weird, here we're immediately taught stick shift. Wow, I had a little hallucination. I haven't slept for a while so my heads a little fuzzy and I saw these red tendrils behind my laptop screen. Then my eyes started shaking :S I can't even remember what I did between 5pm and 7pm. Today I dropped English Literature. I feel like a loser only studying Art... ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
March 25, 201016 yr Took my new, cute dog to the local park and it got the attention of teh ladies. Then some [bleep] thought it would be funny to chase his fifth grade brother around with a sledgehammer. The teenage brother took the kid and threw him on the groundand hit him in the side with his sledgehammer. Kid ran home crying. What a friggin' moronic [bleep]. I felt really sorry for the kid.

March 25, 201016 yr I actually know the guy, he lives next to me. I pretend to be his friend sometimes because he is very capable of doing evil, evil things if you aren't. He goes to an alternative school and gets in fights a lot. He got the sledgehammer from his construction job that he got fired from. He said that when he got fired, he hit his boss in the head with the sledgehammer. He said that, "He only hits people hard enough so they get brain damage". Really, really mentally unstable guy.

March 25, 201016 yr The general attitude in my area seems to be that every male should drive a manual because it's manly, like a manual is difficult or something. I remember when everyone was first getting cars, and the first question that everyone asked (often before what kind of car) was whether it was a manual or auto. It could be a beat up 1970 daihatsu that can barely start but as long as it's a manual it's a great car. Today I got a parking ticket for "parking continuously for longer period than indicated on a permissive parking sign" in a street with no parking signs. I chose this 'out of the way' street because it had no maximum parking time and I looked around in the morning and after I got the ticket for a sign. The best part is, if I fight it then I would lose more money missing work than the ticket is for. Plus if I lost than I gather I have big court fees. I do 50+ free hrs a week work experience plus I do 10 or so paid hours on weekends at a grocery store just so I can scrape up a few bucks to live on and I get this [cabbage] [bleep] I hate people
March 25, 201016 yr @Cars, I drove an auto for two reasons. I was traveling in a lot of traffic then and didn't want to screw around with gears every two seconds and the only car I could afford that was decent was an Auto. However my next car MUST be a Manual so I don't get rusty and forget how to drive one. Popoto.~<3

However I', not good at multi tasking when it comes to driving, I either listen to music and drive, or talk to someone and drive. I only have my auto license because I have a habit of coasting and you get failed for that. I did it for so long that if I go out of my way to not do it, I mess up. I also don't really have access to a manual care anymore to break that habit, and I have no money for driving lessons at the moment. I don't see how having the clutch in and rolling around a corner/to a stop is an issue.
