I worked a scheduled similar at one point. I don't get burnt out, thats just me personally. Some people just don't burn out. I was just pissed I had to go back to work already, but I was never "so tired i couldn't get outta bed" or anything.

 

 

But then again, I'm a very high energy person... If only I could put it to good use.

So yesterday was pretty freaking awesome. We took the hour drive down to the Frank&Sons Show, looked at all the stuff, and had some fun. I ended up getting Pokemon Platinum new for only 25$, me and my friends all split a MTG Worldwake box and had a draft at my house, that was fun. [wagon] friend pulled a Jace. And yeah, now I get to go to a 4th of July potluck today at a friend of a friend's house who i've never met, this may be awkward.

I worked 13 hours yesterday and I closed as well. I didn't get home until 3:00AM and I am supposed to work at 9:00AM (in 35 minutes). I work 13 hours today =/

We're required to have 11 hours off between shifts at the same place where I live. It sucks in some ways but I'm glad in others.

 

I bought a bunch of movies today, might watch one or two tonight.

I just got in from work at 5:48. I worked the grills today since the kid who was supposed to do it rage quit. He said "[bleep] you guys, [bleep] McDonald's, I quit". I nearly passed out on grills. It is 93 Fahrenheit outside + 400 degree heat coming off grills + water shortage. Time to kill some nubs in combat arms.

 

Well, 40 hours in 4 days :) I still have until Wed to get hours in. I have tomorrow off THANK GOD. Then I am scheduled for 12 more hours Tuesday. I can;t wait until I make more than $10.00 an hour.

That sucks. My friend recently had to do 3 back-to-back 14 hour shifts. During one she had to cook and wait tables at the same time.

 

It's ridiculous how some people can just leave during the day and force work onto other people.

Quick question: How long do most people spend working at McDonalds? Because I'm trying to find a job but only have about a month and a half at this point before I leave for school and I think that wouldn't be worth it for most jobs.

 

I've been working here a month and I've seen four people join and three or four more quit. I've read that anywhere between 2-6 months is the average employment time for a crew and 8+ for managers and crew trainers. McDonald's is real flexible with hours. You can work 1-7pm one day then 9AM - 12 PM the next. If you will be going to college, they cover $250.00 of your books. It isn't much, but it helps.

TOO FUNNY! As I know everyone knows (maybe?) I work for an answering service. Well I answered the call for a a-1 heating and cooling in Paramus NJ. Took the guys info, hung up. a minute later for another call for an a/c company in PARAMUS NJ. IT WAS THE SAME PERSON. He was like "oh sorry Sam I didn't mean to re-dial a-1" And I'm like "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This is actually the answering service. We handle over 4,000 accounts. I'm answering for both of them. *nervous chuckle*" Luckily he was nice and just laughed it off, usually when that happens they are total douchebags.

 

Also: I am amazed at the amount of people who call and are surprised lawyers offices are closed on 4th of july? They're like "whya re tehy close?! amg!? DA [bleep]?!!?"

Normally there's tons of people and loud music playing, but since it was Sunday night there was hardly anybody and the music was low so I was unaware people could hear me talk with my friends. Well, I mentioned something about getting a huge boner from the girl doing squats in front of me and she gave me a dirty look. I didn't think she actually heard me and that she was just being a little [bleep] because my friends were ogling her, so I went on to say "sunrise" when a huuuuuge girl in a tight yellow tanktop walked by... she promptly told me to go [bleep] myself and I've been feeling bad ever since :thumbdown:

Got off work in time to catch the last half of the fireworks. The city was flooded with cars and people, so I just parked on some street in some ghetto to watch. Took an hour to get back out, and almost took out a few families in the process :thumbup:

Had a trucker who I'm pretty sure was incredibly high come through the servo tonight. He was pretty funny, and he ended up buying eight of those variety chip bags (the ones with like 12 fun-sized chip packets inside of different kinds) and finished of two of the bags before he left.
