^That game didnt even decided a medal so you cant really say USA are beating China because of one event.

Anyway, last 2 days have been pretty boring in my opinion, no "nail biting" medal deciders yet.

USA beat France in the men's 4x100 freesstyle relay! It was epic! Find a video if you didn't see it. Most nail biting moment yet, in my opinion.

That was an amazing race. And that's coming from an Aussie (Australians came 3rd). Did I misread what the screen said, or was the world record beaten by like 4 seconds?

Cool.

You are correct, world record was basically shattered....by the first 5 teams too i do believe. All 5 teams beat the previous world record. Wow. That was a GREAT race.

GO USA! :D

The olympics are a waste to me. I don't really care about others athleticism. Until we revert back to old style olympics, I won't ever be interested.

You mean guys trancing around naked and wrestling eachother after being bathed in oil?

Only then will you be interested?

I say we put pankration (The ancient version) back in.

There's only one channel here that shows the Olympics, and it sometimes doesn't even. So I have to follow most of it online. Oh well.

And I find archery interesting to watch. Especially those Korean women. :P

For anyone who says that the USA already won or China already lost...It's only been like 3 days...Plenty more to go. :P

Can't wait for the Taiwan vs. US baseball game...Taiwan beat the USA in archery by the way. (They barely lost to Ukraine though... )

Just watched Brazil Destroy NZ 0-5 at Football. A++

For an NZ Football/Soccer team I'd say 5-0 isn't too bad :P

I watched the Badminton, well was forced to to get some hints...Boring....

God I hope they bring cricket or rugby back to the olympics some day, in some form.

(Rugby 7s or 20-20 cricket, doesn't matter)

Doomy edit: I like sheep

and then there's those really long cycling competitions. I can't ride my bike for 10 minutes before my crotch starts to hurt from the hard seat. I can't imagine how these cyclists survive doing 20 or 30 km races. Especially today in the woman's cycling where it was raining the entire time. That's pretty dangerous, not to mention uncomfortable, and its amazing what the human body can do in the pursuit of fame and respect.

That is why you get a comfy seat ;). I've road for 36 miles when I first got my road bike and you just have to ride past the pain and then you just get in the zone and your off, but ya those athletes deserve a lot of respect for what they do.

Tomorrow I get to watch one of my favorite parts of the Olympics, whitewater rafting!!

im looking forward to seeing iran win anything so i can drape a large iranian flag on my back and run yelling through the neighborhood, thereby raising the terror level of my neighborhood to orange.

I was thinking about Tehran hosting the 2016 Olympics, with Ahmadinejad opening the games. Would be way more cooler than the Queen in four years' time. -.-

China have got a strong chance of getting more golds than the US this year.

GO CHINA! china-flag-16.gif(not that anyone in China can actually read this post...)

The US team this year is weak apparently. The Aussies have got high ambitions, we're hoping for 4th. We've even sent a 14-year-old to secure a medal for us.

Not anymore, China got destroyed by the U.S. in basketball with a double digit deficit.

One event of how many in the Olympics? I'd like to see you beat China at China's game - Taekwondo, Shooting, Diving, Badminton, Weightlifting...

Yeah, Finland won one gold and one bronze medal today!

Olympics are really interesting, I watch them every time I can :D . Too bad that school starts and I'm going to miss most of the events :x

If the US is weak, looks like the UK has brain damage.

Wasn't a medal game, but I found the first US men's sand volleyball game to be quite exciting. The US lost to a team that they beat in 32 minutes the last time they met.

Should have just waited a day to post because that relay was amazing. US over France. Phelps went nuts when he saw that US won.

^Hell yeah, that was amazing. I had thought all hope was lost when the 3rd french guy was a full body length in front of the 3rd US guy. Then with an amazing comeback in the last second, the US crushed the French's comments that they had come to the Olympics to crush the Americans. I loved Michael Phelps' cheer when the US won. And the look on the French team's face was priceless.

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

Loool. I saw that relay. Lezak owned the [bleep] out of the French

Apart from Taekwondo and Badminton, they've actually all been in the Summer Games longer than Basketball. ;)

I can't wait to watch shooting and archery! :D

Wow, the Chinese women dominated the race I saw in double sculls. I forgot the name of the race I saw, though.

I watched that relay live last night. It was a simply amazing race, and I still get chills watching it over again.

Well, I saw on the News that the firework footprints to the Birdnest in the opening ceremony were fake and done by CGI!

In other news, well done to Adlington for achieving the Gold medal and Jackson getting Bronze for Great Britian in the 400m freestyle, very exciting race if I may say so. Unfortunatley our 14 year old diver Tom Daley didn't quite do as well as that in the synchronised diving, but it was his first Olympics and he still has the individual diving competition to come.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Is that why so many more people care about badminton than Basketball? I could never figure out why.

My carbon footprint is bigger than yours...and you know what they say about big feet.

These are the times that try mens souls...

Does anyone know if Rogers & Dalhausser won their game tonight? Err.. Last night. ERR. MORNING IN AMERICA.

This timezone difference makes it a bit confusing talking about what day things went on.

Lol, I had to repost this. This was a post from another forum

Dude, France [bleep]ing had us. They were clearly winning and they were clearly going to win. But that last [bleep]ing reach pwned all of civilization and destroyed the entire nation of France.

They DESTROYED Switzerland. It was a pretty cool game. Dalhausser was a beast.
