That's a relatively small sacrifice, seeing as we still do - should - get geepees, or something else, of similar value. And the system is the same: pking everywhere, with the small difference that it's gonna be restricted to certain worlds and now Jagex needs to be more careful not to screw it up.

I didn't say they wouldn't... :roll: just not sure why they would. I'm an old skool pker and i know that i would much rather have any variation on the old system, even if rewards are pathetic than the BH system.

This update is kind of a, why didnt they have this at the start?

 

World pvpis a staple in almost every mmo and at least every mmo released now in some sort of concept.The wilderness is ok i guess but it is an outdated concept and doesnt allow spontaneous pvp.

Teleblocking will be required, as will be a method of discouraging 4 itemers. What will happen to gravestones? Will a pker just wait at a GS waiting for his victim to return, and KO him over and over ad nauseum? There will be quite a few tweaks rquired compared to old wildy pking, but this is by far the best news I have read in a looong time :)

 

 

 

This will be awesome for clans - especially for sorting out differences :)

 

Pures will be back en masse - which will be very entertaining now that may ex-pures are now pro tanks! Makes me wanna go dredge up a few pures in training and resurrect them!

 

there will not be graves as you loose your items when you die.(if your skulled i suppose)

But on topic: I'm still wondering whether or not we'll even have skulls, and I'm almost sure on these PvP worlds there will be no gravestones. But still this is all pure predicting without any hints or anything.

Naturally, we also have other PvP-orientated content, like Stealing Creation (a resource control game where skillers and PKers work together, creating equipment and beating up the opposition) and Mobilising Armies (a real-time strategy game where you use your hard made bows, swords, etc. to equip your own armies in 4-player battles).

you better get some FoG gears with you if you are going for f2p pvp... things change a lot in f2p over this year as well....

It does sound very interesting, as for someone like me who isn't particularly interested in pk'ing, the thought of being able to help friends who sounds very good.

OMG this is the best update ever I my playing time has been nil since they destroyed the best thing in RS but hey guess what I'm back.

I just hope that pking will be profitable. I pked for the thrill of the kill and more importantly, the gp. If I don't get that I quit.

The new "Kill a target minigame" and clan wars areas had alot of speculation on them. But... they were reduced to:

 

An update that at first annoyed single pkers. Then after a few re-thinks slammed clans to the floor.

Yeah ALOT of people would complain... but clans would still war with returning and rune sets lost and single pkers would still get some form of loot.

Oh my! This new quest had better have some amazingly godly reward! The new PvP worlds sounds amazing!

hopefully this will bring back pkers old and new. and f2p worlds will be filled like it was before to 1400 players on one server rather than 600 like we have today. pking is a very important part to runescape. not just to pkers but skillers as well. f2p isnt fun without pking because training skills is long and boring and wat satifies many is owning someone and taking their items :twisted:

anyone know when it comes out ?i have never pked the whole time i have been playing runescape. sounds fun.not too much fun for p2p. because of all the potions: prayer and a whole bunch of other potions poison and the list keeps going :ohnoes:

it would just be strength potion and the prayer and food .pretty simple.....that is if it will be for f2p :pray: plus will the new armor only be from the generated drops or would you be able to but it from g.e. or somewhere else?

My hope for PvP worlds is no level restrictions. I want my level 136 combat to be able to count for something, and go around one hitting level 3s and 10s... so much more fun than taking a half hour to kill another 136...
