Well PKing is all about the exchange of wealth, so in the beginning, someone monster hunting or skilling generates the money in the beginning, PKers are just passing it around :?

 

Edit: And another thing, PKing isn't "working" for your money? :?:

 

No, I consider skilling and other boring things like monster killing as working (no danger, no human interaction, no skills required, no fun, no nothing). PKing is the challenge of beating other people who can think for themselves and can eat/pot/flee/pray/hit back etc. And the items you risk make it fun, because it it wouldn't matter if you died it's no use wasting food/pots/arrows/runes for, thats why i don't like shooter games, it doesn't matter if you die except for honor and reputation.

 

 

 

You pk for fun in the first place, and skilling etc you do for the money/benefits they give in the first place. Some people are mad enough to do it for a pixcel cape or to get a stat 99 in their list but yea they should know that for themselves do they?

Monster hunting is based on teamwork, when dealing with GWD/DKs ect, of course there is human interaction.

 

No Skills required? That is a load of bulderdash.

Ok, tbh, I have never liked PKing and when the Wild went, I was sooooooooo happy. I hated PKer's that stopped me from doing my daily activities. But now that we are separated from each other, I say AMEN! This has to be the best year for updates since...well I don't even know when. Everyone is getting a piece of the pie. And to be even more honest, I'm curious to play on these PK Worlds. I want to see if I can ever get over the nerves of fighting with another player.

 

 

 

I remember someone somewhere once threw out a number like 16% of the RS Community are PKers. I have no idea how that number came to be, but it was mostly agreed upon. And there's what? 150,000 players on average playing? That means that roughly 24,000 PK players are online at once and I have no idea what the percentage of P2P and F2P is. So if there are only say, 6 new worlds and at the current restriction of 2,000 players at one time, wouldn't that make them overcrowded at all times? And if that number is true, what about the players that just can't get in?

 

 

 

Another angle: Besides Combat-Based Potions rising, wouldn't Metal Armors and Weapons move to rise? I mean if you can make you own armor and get killed, you can make it again. Or sell it to players that need it? Might put a bigger demand on the base metal armors. I know, for example, if I went there, I would be wearing what I can make. So, its not a huge loss if I get KO'd. Might even put a demand on the Metal Bar/Ore Market as well.

 

 

 

My conclusion of all this...keep doing what you are doing Jagex. I'm praising you all the way. I know of least one WoW person in real life that has come to this game and enjoys it. This will be the icing on the cake for him.

I think we'll have to wait for the quest tho :wall: It will certainly be 150th quest, 143 atm. I hope it will be like Meeting History (as for explaining rs history) + RDF (for long and hard part) + MEp II/Seergaze (for puzzles) . Hope we'll get awesome rewards too ^^

 

 

 

About that PvP thing.. Not really exited as I never liked pking and for me all the PvP minigames Jagex has to offer would cover all my expectations..

I was thinking, and I think it's a somewhat safe bet that melee won't be as efficient to PK as we'd all want. 99% of runescape. There are random fences, gates, obstacles, etc just everywhere... Rangers and mages who think smart might be the top...

I didn't said monster hunting wasn't without danger and teamwork, it's just monster killing like slayer I was talking about. Monster hunting is the way I make money whenever I have to and it's quite fun the first times, but after you've done them a few times you'll know the strategies on how to beat them and they get boring quite fast. Even though they get boring its still a lot more fun since it's with a team. Though no monster hunting bosses will be ever as challenging as real players.

I think they should make all banks and like 100 "squares" around the bank safe areas, or maybe the whole of edgeville and the north east of varrock safe areas. Would make things a whole lot easier.

Not only am I a second class runescape citizen thanks to HD but now I'm being kicked to the curb as worlds are going to be given to all those sad losers that we managed to get rid of last year.

Why lol, they probably make it safe within fally and lumby and varrocks city walls. But if you want to bank just hop to a safe world.

If they make ALL the runescape(only the themed worlds) able to attack others exept bank this will be the best places to pk:

 

Lumbridge, falador and camelot.

 

I'm not 100% sure but yeah... respawn places.
