Best clue lvl 3 reward

So i'm doing slayer, killing hell hounds and i get a clue. First think that coem to mind hmmm i could use a new third age armor :D , so i decide to do the clue.

 

after 20 mins of running around and wearing random stuff (i hate Uri's emotes) i finally finish my clue. my amasing reward was 44 bloods 50 natures and opulent table. So i look up what the heck is an opulent table and i see this the stuff that its made out off 6 mahogany planks, 4 cloth (2600 gp), 4 gold leaf (520K gp), 2 marble blocks (650K gp). I think to my self well i got free 500-600k right there, but to my surprise the table costs just under 4k..... #-o

I'm kind of pissed off at Jagex for adding construction items to clues. I haven't gotten anything worth more than 100k since they've released it and I've done tons of level-3s.

Actually they used to be 1.2 - 1.3m... Look at all the gilded furniture from clues. All of them used to cost a few hundred k and now you can gold trim half your house for 100k (A few weks after the clue thing, I bought enough of these cheap flatpacks to fit any hotspot that could possibly need these. It cost me under 300k and this is when all that was 40k ish each. Now it would cost next to nothing.

I remember that if you did 3 clue scrolls that were lvl 3, you'd for sure get something worth 600k+.

What can you do? Now it's either a huge chance of getting about 20K, or such a tiny chance of getting several million that it's not really worth considering.

I've had good luck with my last 3 Clues (lvl 3). Managed a decent profit each time, not brilliant but good.

 

 

 

Got quite a few rune items each time, must have made 250k from 10mins running around?

 

 

 

Cave Horrors are the way to go, only have to kill 375 for 3 clues and no mask.

ive done over 50 lv 3 clues and my best was a gilded bench or some mahongany planks -.-

Clues are generally bad, I don't know why people delude themselves into thinking fifty clues without a 1M item is good. I've done around 150 clues, all recorded, and I've had two or three items over 1M. I consider that to be lucky.

I've always though clues were boring. When I just became member, I did some. Rubbish rewards. When I was a few months member, I did a few more clues (~15). Still no good rewards, and finishing them was annoying.

 

 

 

My solution: keep a clue in my bank so I never have to think about clues again. :thumbup:

After adding pointless gilded benches and tables and clocks and all that shizzle that used to be really expensive to my house the flatpacks from clues really do get annoying. They should, if having them in the clues at all, at least make them a rare enough reward to keep them at the prices they were before instead of taking out the tiny bit of profit constructers can make without lending out their houses.

I kind of see this as a double edged sword. On the one hand you now have clues that are more or less useless but on the other you have clue rewards that are now more rare to obtain. To me this is a balance in rewards because in my opinion they were designed to be rare to begin with. Now that most of us that did clues religiously are not doing them because it is a waste of our time, the clue rewards are rarer than ever and also on the rise.

There is still some good stuff that you can get from level 3's, it's just much harder to get it now than before. Myself I have never got anything real good from a clue. The best I have got is a rune (g) helm.

I started tracking them recently since returning to the game and starting a blog. I haven't really gotten much, but I don't mind, they are a nice diversion and I'm actually quite pissed atm for not getting one for 8 tasks -.-

A month ago I had 3 great clue rewards, which were up in the value of 500k+. For the past 2 weeks now I've been getting absolute sub-par clues. I mean, how the hell could someone be happy to get a gilded clock, 5 super sets and a rune axe! That was my last clue, not even the worst one. I'm getting ticked off by the level of inconsideration at Jagex. They just enjoy ruining what little is left of a decent moneymaker (for some of us, who don't gwd). For one, the clue reward list is too long, the furniture rewards are too common and what used to be a common reward (rune armor) is now semi-rare. Not to mention how rare the trimmed stuff has become. I could be fairly sure their reasoning is "so that balance will be restored". What balance? There need not be balance in everything.

 

Even now I have a clue from a nechryael task. Not hoping for anything decent.

 

Has anyone in the last 2 weeks gotten a god page out of a clue? I've done 20-30 clues - none. Used to get 1 every 5-7 clues.

The quality of the rewards has diffinently dropped imo, you used to get like 50k or maybe something worth 300k+ now it just seems like 20k or 500k+, i think they changed it about the time the new TT rewards came out but im not sure,

those would be level 1's as level 3's certainly dont give out blue ele shirts or black bolts =S

I don't see why people DON'T do clues. They take 5-15 minutes and offer a break from training slayer/camping at whatever. Most rewards are worth 100k or so, which is quite nice. Plus the relatively high chance of getting something better (Probably works out at something like 1/5 chance)

 

 

 

I've done probably thousands of level 3 clues and have had probably >100M in loot, which while compared to people camping at GWD is nothing but it's 100M more than I'd have without doing them. Although my best reward was my first one ever, Sara plate and Sara kite, sold them for ~4M (This was when Party hats were <10M), you'd have though a thousand or more later I'd have had something better by now :lol:
