Dizzle229
I've been wondering about this for a while and I just wanted to know what TIF thought. Personally, I'm going to say no, for the reasons below. Pros - There would be a great market for charms. It would also give people who don't train summoning a reason to keep charm drops. Cons - Summoning would just become another buyable skill. Many people would ridiculously boost up levels. Since Hill Giants are a great provider of Gold Charms, EVERYONE would start killing them. This could have either a veyr good or very bad effect on the big bones market. Discuss. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Stewie_Griffen
No because then there will be a brief time where charms cost OVER NINE THOUSAND and people camp at everything that give charms. That includes most slayer monsters. Then slayers will be kicked out of their spots for a few weeks until everything settles down and Summoning becomes another buyable skill. Inuashakent
Please, just close this topic. The only answer here is going to be "no." Free post count pl0x? No dicussion unless theres some sort of debate. I'll await for an answer that is "yes." insanitarium
Yes, they should. It would stimulate the economy and make mid to high level combat a better moneymaker.
Deviloch
....even though it would make me a billionaire, I'd much rather they not be tradeable it's the only part of summoning training that could even remotley be considerd hard There's a man up on that ledge....he's only cleaning windows. What a shame.Who's to blame, for the pain we're missing?I'm gonna lean back on my wall and pray for him to fall. EarthySun
I am against making Charms trade-able. It would allow someone to buy into a Combat skill, as well as crowding monster areas. Summoning is a good skill because it takes time and effort, not a [rear] load of cash. So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.
Leoo
I thought we had a topic like this before  Charms should remain untradable. Getting the charms yourselve is a part of training Summoning, which Jagex wanted players to do. Plus, Summoning has major rewards nearly every couple of levels :
Laura
Should Slayer points be tradeable? I think the only answer we can agree on is no.
Ravenkana
I am against making Charms trade-able. It would allow someone to buy into a Combat skill, as well as crowding monster areas. Summoning is a good skill because it takes time and effort, not a [rear] load of cash.Well, technically magic and prayer can be bought, both of which are combat skills. And it does require a load of cash in conjunction with the time and effort. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
Infernosage4
I don't think charms should be tradeable. Summoning would be way to fast if you had the money to shell out. I am against making Charms trade-able. It would allow someone to buy into a Combat skill, as well as crowding monster areas. Summoning is a good skill because it takes time and effort, not a [rear] load of cash. You could argue that prayer, magic, and range are all buyable combat skills. Where prayer would be buying dragon bones, magic would be buying runes for bursting, and range would be buying chinchompas. Should Slayer points be tradeable? I think the only answer we can agree on is no. Slayer points to slayer is not what charms are to summoning. 269 QP | All Stats 60+ (except Summoning) | Barrows Drops: 8 | Dragon Drops:
Peronix
My wallet would certainly love it if they were (that's assuming waterfiends aren't totally swamped), but should anyone really be allowed to put up a few hundred mill and get 99 in 1 day? 99s are supposed to take effort, the only real effort that goes into summoning itself is gathering the charms. Without that obstacle it would be the fastest (albeit most expensive) buyable 99 by far.
Inuashakent
Slayer points to slayer is not what charms are to summoning. Too true. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
bean824
Buyable skills are harder than everyone thinks. People still have to earn the money they use to raise it. Unless they have a partyhat or a rare that they sell, its very difficult to get all the money needed.
Tsar
No. +1 No, just no. You want an expensive buyable skill, do herblore or construction. If charms were tradeable, the whole purpose of summoning would just be blown sky-high, making the skill literally a Buy-Direct-From-GE-99. No one wants that, even if they hate gathering charms.
Dizzle229
Even though I agree that they shouldn't be tradeable, I do have one point to make. Is magic not a buyable skill? A few weeks ago, I bought a ton of law runes and an air staff. Went from 41 to 54 mage doing ardougne teleport. Get back here so I can rub your butt. Wizz
*cough* http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=759311 *cough* I personally think no, then it will be another buyable skill. mervinator_9
They really shouldnt, if you stop and think it becomes obvious really and most people seem to get that. And ye magic is a buyable skill to an extent, but casting the spells is a large part of the time spent on magic. In summoning the main time comsumer is collecting the charms, if you take that any people could get 99 summoning in a ridiculously short space of time. Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.
