To get these capes you must mix up dyes to recolour the existing ones :-) Best. Update. EVER. Which makes me way too old right now to be back at RS... that in my mind was a completely different game, i'm glad i managed to skill a bit back then.. i feel like it really has become a dirty grind fest to get the levels required to make serious cash with skills anymore. the game was a lot better back then. a lot friendlier thats for sure. when you have one server you know everyone you play with, it was like a small town rather than a gigantic metropolis it has become today. there were legitimate celebrities because of the small population, clans were ridiculous!! anyone remember messiahs?? and the few and far between updates were always so flawed and hilarious to play around with in what was actually a beta of the game we play today. Probably somewhere between 6-6 1/2. (I know my levels are pathetic for having been playing that long). A few breaks here and there, normally a couple months, maybe one about 6 months (missed both bunny ears and scythe #-o Also missed out on the earlier drops either because I couldn't get on on holidays, or because I was too lazy to search for them. :wall: Coulda had me a few million. Heh, yeah. I recall Jagex somehow putting a Legend's Guild gate in the middle of the Barbarian agility course accidentally :P Ooh, even have it screened. Unfortunately I no longer seem to have ancient pictures, as in 2001 I was playing on an ancient PC as well, and I apparently didn't bother to transfer screenshots. [hide=My Pics] [/hide] Wow, I actually remember quite a few of those (especially the first one) now that i've seen it again. ...and to everyone saying that 'everything was better back then' and 'everyone was nicer' you may be right, but from what I remember it was still the same cabbage fight as it is today, it's just that everyone wasn't running around in their 70+ weapons and armours. If you still have the hard drive from the old computer, try sticking it in a working computer (unplug the computer's current HD and plug your old one in its place so that it's the boot drive). If the hardware's compatible to the drivers installed on it or available to be installed on it, then you should be able to get your files back (I've replaced motherboards without getting new hard drives or a reinstall of the operating system and it works fine; you just have to install all the drivers when it starts up). Ah, yes... the waiting. It was a real pain with only a 56.6k modem. Using the RS client was mandatory for a pleasant gaming experience. The good old days... I'd love to go back and look around for a while. I remembered when I started there where only 3 servers. Surely I wouldn't be really playing that anymore, but it sure is fun to bring up some memories.
