JIM
So you absolutely slated my last post, calling it a cliche and whatnot... ...and then you post what is basically a mass email? Azvareth
So you absolutely slated my last post, calling it a cliche and whatnot... ...and then you post what is basically a mass email? Pot, kettle... black? Except I don't think this was posted with the intention of being a serious thread. It looks like an "I'm gonna post this stupid thread... ironically"; what with the lack of any sort of effort being put into the OP, among other things. For some reason I doubt Reb gives a flying [cabbage] how OTers treat their "fellow beings" in real life, let alone wanting to give us the incentive to improve on our manners. And why should he. EDIT: I could be wrong though. Maybe he loves us.
I_am_Geed
I can kinda relate I need to find myself at the moment As a junior in high school, I though i was going to find love on the first try, and that it would miraculously work, "high-school sweethearts" like my grandparents are. It fell through the floor, and although me and her are still friends, Im still in an abyss. Waiting upwards of a year and a half to find love again hurts. Although i feel betrayed by God at the moment, i still have hope. That I'll find someone. That something will happen to again to my ex-girlfriend that re-sparks those certin feelings for each other. Godspeed to anyone else who feels alone in this world, your not alone.

Azvareth
That's an attitude to aspire to. :) Yeah, I realise I worded that a bit wrong/harshly. You should of course strive to maintain a positive outlook on life and the people around you, because as barf-inducingly cliché as it sounds I think "shoot for the stars..." does ring true in a lot of - if not most - cases. Now that that's said, these short stories always seem to have pre-schoolers in mind or something, as they seem to be uhh... somewhat divorced from reality. I guess I don't see how a poorly written 800-word story can inspire people on an internet forum to act kinder to one another. If they do, that's great. I'm not against them being posted once in a while, as they can spark up semi-interesting discussion. But, and here's my point, I don't think Reb would take the time out of his day to sincerely try to inspire people on this forum to act nicer to one another with a copy-paste chainmail his mum sent him, with a thread title that read "...". Whether it was a result of drunkposting or "YEEHAW I'M DOIN DRUGS!", I don't know. I am, however, done putting words in his mouth now!
The Observer
This is the exact same story my teacher read to us in Grade 8. The reason why a lot of people don't do things such as this is because they want to fit in and don't want to be on the other end of the story which is being teased themselves. I am on the other end of that story myself, but I have my own friends, so it doesn't matter to me.

And why should he. I think Reb, like myself, has little tolerance for bull [cabbage]. I don't think he gives a crap about what people post on here, only about the people who actually took something from it. That, and I think he knows how inspiring his mother is and has no problem sharing her wisdom. Lenticular_J
Do you want to be (like) Reb's mom, Goddess? :P This has become a discussion solely about Reb, hasn't it? Well okay. I love how this turned into a psychoanalysis of Reb. You have such an aura of mystique around you AJ! Oh yeah, you, him, and Diesel all know each other at ya'll's college, dontcha? anonymous1234
I first read "a message to all" then I saw the author was reb. I was like "oh boy, he must be pissed off even more than usual." then I looked at the post. I saw "Kyle" and "carrying all of his books" and immediately thought COPYPASTA. Then I thought "why would Reb copypasta?" Now I realise, it isn't Reb! I think he's been captured by the C.I.A. guys. In all seriousness, this topic really wasn't necessary, everybody has heard this story, or something close to it. I really only got that you should be nice to people the first time I heard it, which is a rather obvious and generic lesson.
Stoop111
That was a strong story, Hopefully I can remember it day to day. Isn't it lovely how having an opinion makes you hated around here?

You have such an aura of mystique around you AJ! and how does that make you feel, Reb? just kidding. Do you want to be (like) Reb's mom, Goddess? I don't know much about his mum at all but from what I do know she is a good person. Reb has quoted previously that parts of me remind him of his mum, so maybe that's a good thing or maybe even a bad thing, who knows. Talset65
I haven't read this before, and I found it quite touching. Then of course I went on to read the comments and criticisms of the community and now find myself laughing a lot, good job. Tough times don't last. Tough people do. Mylez
Not a bad little story. Although it doesn't need God at the end, the moral implications still apply without the pathetic thought of religion. :?

Zonorhc
I honestly thought this would be a banme thread at first. On a related note, what is it about moms and "fwd: fwd: fwd:" mails. It is a peculiar phenomenon. My mom wouldn't know how to forward an email. My mother knows that chain email sends me into a blind rage. chazzycaz
God puts us all in each others lives to impact one another in some way. Look for God in others. Wow, just as I was welling up.... it brought me down to Earth with a massive crash. I see Christian propaganda, but I dont see the Report Spam button! Wth is it!?! On a more serious note, I appreciate the moral implications this message gives to all. If only my heart wasnt made of stone... I must appreciate art when I see it though : How you managed to remove all of the "FW:"s without effecting the general chain format of the message, you deserve a 10/10! Sorry if I sound cynical, I cant stand chain messages, almost as much as when people post on youtube "If you dont post this 10 times on other videos your mom will die". Well, im sure you have affected at least one person's life in a positive way, so kudos for that. I wonder if people would benefit If I posted the contents of my Gmail spam box here... Then again... this is a G rated forum.. Just kidding ladies, you know I love you =DGuide to Making Money with NPC Trading
Da_Latios
On a more serious note from me, though, something similar happened to me. If not for a friend's insignificant act of friendship, I would still live in the same neighbourhood, and undoubtedly be a druggie and a gangster, and probably would have committed suicide by now. Not going into details, but long story short, I'm the furthest from "emo" anyone can get. I have en extremely positive outlook on life, have a lot of friends and even go on TIF(not sure if this is such a good thing, however!). Atheism is the disbelief in God, not the belief in the disbelief of God. Atheism is not a religion, so stop treating it like it is one.
