I earn mine but help out when I can. After all, it is a team game.

 

 

 

Yep, same here. I start making good axe, pickaxe, etc. OR good armour. If I make only tools I just try to earn points, and if I choose to make some fine armour I try to find some kind of small group. So... With tools I try to earn points and help kind teammates... :lol: With weapon I just defend our places or fight somewhere.

 

 

 

But, I don't play those 'fast games'... So there's more begging noobs or? :?

I usually try to get a piece of level-5 clay, then politely ask someone with 80+ crafting or smithing to turn it into a tool. Seeing as Jagex didn't disable trading within the game, it seems like they not only allow it, but encourage people to play as a team. Since, y'know, it's a team minigame. I'd at least give a clay tool to those who ask politely.

I agree with comments about it being a team game, but also about beggars being fail.

 

 

 

So I have kind of sliding rules.

 

 

 

If there really is like no rags around the team base I'll happily give out a clay or 2.

 

But if there is rags or the player has clearly run half way across the palying field to a c5 I ignore them.

 

 

 

However thoose who say can't make a c5 pick and ask for a c5 pick I'll happily make one for, especially when they offer the clay in exchange.

I always make my own clay, start from level 1/2 and then try to go to 3/4 and so on. I keep telling betters to work for it yourself like the rest of us.

Well fast sc is a team game to finish quickly, so you should definately give clay if asked. Also I find that I can easily get a lvl 3 clay faster than I can get from 1-2-3. If I can't then I just ask. Usually in fast sc you become a community and you help out if the person helped you out before :)

When I'm one of the first ones getting a lvl 4 clay without tools.. then ill share the next few clays to the others..

 

 

 

I can imagine that its really depressing when someone is gathering with a tool and your still trying to get one with your bare hands.. This kind of begging occurs only in the first few minutes of the game.. why being egoistic?? sharing few clays doesnt hurt at all.. i can easily get 50k+ points in fast sc games.. so your still getting your 24 points.

I get my Class 1 item and head to the nearest 3/4 location. I usually get some quickly, but when I don't I sometimes resort to asking once or twice, I don't think it would class as begging.

I help them, because the game ends faster then. And I generally tend to help people.

I may ask for clay, and get it, but I always give it back when I get some afterwords. That way, it is no harm to them, and I get clay faster myself. I also help out any people who need stuff made, most of the time at least. 80 smithing ftw \

 

 

 

Oh, and about fast sc...Where is the fun in just skilling? It is much more fun to get a very fast 20k points or so (for a tool) and then pickpocket/fight for the rest of the game :thumbup: . One of the reasons I don't mind getting tools, and playing a mini game to speed up skills, is that SC is so much freaking fun. I think its the best mini game Jagex has ever made, by far.

I get my own. If I'm in a game with friends I'll help them out but it depends on what's going on if I give clay out or not. If someone asks once I will, but if they keep asking over and over I will generally not help them out.

By the time i ask people for a level 5 tool, I could have made my own in half the time, so I dont beg personally because i can do it myself alot quicker. :)

I could understand if you didn't want to give away clay in normal SC but in fast SC it's

 

more of a team effort. If you give someone that clay then the clay will get collected faster and the game will end sooner. I'm pretty sure that's what fast SC is all about so you being selfish and not sharing is slowing it down for everyone.

Sometimes I work for the clay, sometimes I ask for it. You should share the clay with the ones who ask/need it, ESPECIALLY in fast sc games. I don't wait for half inventory to fill up with the clay, I give any clay I get with tools to those who need it.

I'll earn it everytime but if someones offers me a tool i'll take it and give them it back after i get 1 clay.

I don't see why it's a big deal. Why waste 5 minutes of the game (1/4 of it) getting crap tools to slowly work your way up when you can just ask another player and get it a lot faster? I don't bother with sc clans; imo they're for the weak and lazy. But even in normal sc games in the sc worlds, there are always beggers. Now I'm usually a 1 itemer in sc with my pro c4 dag, so when I get a clay I make a tool for the clay and then get enough clay to make a dagger and food for me and some spare tools for all the skillers. It helps benefit my team by getting more people clay-collecting faster, and it stops the frustration of players who don't cooperate.

 

 

 

And as some others have said, only those who refuse to donate one clay to a person are the real selfish people. Although I dispise sc game fixers, I still find it obvious that the idea of the game is to collect the clay as soon as possible for the game to end fastest. So if you give clay to other players, you're naturally going to speed up the game. But by being selfish and making a huge deal out of players who just want to speed up the game, you are just slowing the game for everyone and making yourself look bad.

I earn my own, mostly because my levels are high enough that tearing the level 2 stuff out with my fingers is EASY. ... and I give if I have extra. But only after I have a tool.

 

 

 

Then I go hide in a corner and make a poopload of runes and overwork my poor familiar. :lol:

My rule is I'll give out clay/items to friends, but for anyone else I'll only make the item if they supply the clay. If they don't have clay I make the item they want and deposit it. Also, it takes at the most 2 minutes to get from a class 1 to 5 tool when you do it yourself; not 5.

 

 

 

I generally play combat SC with my SC clans, so they're all generally friends. I definitely help those people out so we can dominate the game. I don't really give out clay in skilling only games such as "Fast Sc". When I play a skilling only game it's to play with a friend, so I don't mind the game lasting a bit longer because I wouldn't give handouts to everyone. They're skillers and are begging me for clay? Come on. Nope, those people have to get their own or wait for me to deposit tools.

 

 

 

I used to give out clay left, right and center, but so few people gave me a clay in return to compensate that I've generally stopped. If I can't seem to get a clay, and have to ask for one, then I am sure to give at least 5 clay in return and make them some C5 items if they can make use of them. May as well make it worth their while for saving me time.

If I'm trying to get a C4 clay from a C4 rock with my C1 pickaxe, and I see somebody else mining the same rock with a C4 pickaxe, I'll just ask him to give me one clay. It only takes 1 extra second of his time...

It's a very good idea to give one clay to teammates if they don't have an adequate tool and you do. As far as helping out your team goes, it's generally more point efficient than keeping all of it for yourself.

I always get my own clay, but if I'm having some trouble and I see someone who is easily getting it, I will ask nicely.

 

 

 

Since you are doing Fast SC, 1 clay doesn't make any difference at all. After your first 22 points, it takes a lot more effort to get 1 point. That 1 clay never makes a difference. I'd be happy to give away 1 inventory of clay without feeling like I'm giving away my points.

 

 

 

Plus, the faster the games go, the more points you get in the long run.

I love the fast SC games clans. The more everyone helps each other out getting decent leveled tools, the faster the games go. 11 minute games are much better than 20 minute games IMO, allows me to use my SC tools faster. I don't think SC clans are for lazy people, they're mainly comprised of people who intend to do massive amounts of skilling and want to cut down on the time it takes to get, say 200 SC hammers. Would you blame someone wanting to get the job done in 45 hours instead of 70?

I'll work up, and 9/10 times I'll give my team clay aswell unless, they're not even making an effort just standing 4 squares aways begging. Or my mood some times "cly plz", "cly pl0x" doesn't cut it.

It's simple really, you ask for clay, for example you ask for C4 clay fro ma C4 rock, someone gives you the clay, you make the C4 pickaxe then return a piece of clay to the person who gave you it. Makes games much more quicker as more people are mining clay and you don't loes out on points as you get your clay returned to you.

I usally go straight for the 3 and work up from there but depending on my mood i usually give people what they need.

 

Sometimes when i feel nice i go and ask someone for clay, if they give 1 peice to me i trade back and give them 10+ higher level clay then they gave.
