It's the same thing

Game ticks depend on several things like server lag and population. IIRC they range from .606s to .612s. That would make 5 ticks approx 3.03 - 3.06s. It's a trivial difference, but for tick-counters like the top players, every little bit counts.

I heard Runescape is a game? If its a game, you are supposed to interact with it. I belive the fun comes from interaction. I don't see any possible interaction fishing rocktails or woodcutting ivy.

 

One of the definitions of botting is gaining xp without even paying attention or even interact with the game. So, I guess I'm not wrong saying that ivy or rocktails is botting.

 

You may feel that way, but the majority of Runescape players make it their goal to put as little effort into the game as possible because frankly the gameplay is very dull and monotone. The only skill I personally enjoy without having to do something else is Slayer, and that's only about half of the time. For every other skill, I'll always choose the method that allows me to watch movies and tv shows, study, etc. Most people feel the same way I do.

 

and that's a silly definition of botting.

because XP is the meaning of life.

 

or because I get restless if I'm not doing something "productive" while I do other more meaningful things like watch movies and talk to people. makes the time pass more easily. people play MMO's like RS and WoW because their lives are empty and they need something to fill it up. ;)

On Topic: Go S U O M I! I'm fascinated by hearing all the methods that the top 15 use or could use. Some of them I've even tried, though since I'm dirt poor I can't do the vast majority of them.

Higher total level might mean nothing if:

- The player that have higher total lvl plays since ever and the other player started playing rs recently;

- The player that have higher total lvl, took much more days than the other player

- The player that have low total lvl doesn't even care about total lvl

- Etc
