Did read that champions guild sells it for 64k.

 

Search threads -> RSC -> "Rune Skirt" or "Rune Plateskirt" see if there are any offers for sellers/buyers and see the prices :P

To be a fly on the wall when these "new" RSC players learn that "single way combat" means one of EACH type of combat is allowed, not just "one verse one" fights...

You mean its 1 vs 1 melee and as many others as you want can range and mage.

 

I guess I should have written that clearer! But it should still be fun. How many "bug" reports will that cause I wonder?

 

Thank you Jagex for opening up Classic again! While I will get to enjoy the "locked" veteran server, I won't enjoy the drop in prices the players who will start botting on the rest will cause... I guess you can't have it all huh? Could have just let level 110+ in RS lite get in, and told them cheating in EITHER game would result in a ban in BOTH. But I guess that would have been to hard to do. Maybe this will get the Classic economy really rolling again...

Ya it should be fun.. Also just to add even if your in melee 1v1 with someone you can still cast mage on someone else. That should confuse the new players really good.

Just played for about an hour and half and make 60 steel bars. Smithed them into random steel items and sold it all for about 7k! Yeah rollin like a big shot! Bought some black armor from the champs guild and upgrade my pickaxe to mith! Big day for me!

I've been killing lesser demons and moss gaints, got a rune med, about 5k cash, lots of runes and tons of mith/addy/steel items to give to newbies!

I'm also working towards completing Legends quest, also need to do Temple of Ikov!! Man, can't believe how low my stats were before I crossed over to RS2, just goes to show how much faster and easier things got.

 

I am really, really struggling to build my character back up. Today I managed to get my fletching up to level 12, and bought a addy pickaxe. That's about it :lol: spent about an hour just travelling backwards and forwards from ardy to falador.

 

Think I might just spend my time fishing for lobsters/swordfish, I assume there'll be more demand for food from pkers than from people wanting ores for smithing.

Starting from nothing in RSC is sure tough...15 combat so far with about 150 total. Tried to finish Knight's Sword twice, but got dropped in the ice cave. Apparently it's much harder than I thought it would be to try and suicide-run in there. Twice I get right to the rock, only to have a giant beat me over the head with a stick. After having my legs, arms, and torso beaten by the warriors and hobbies, I was done for. :/ Oh well, will get it done eventually.

 

Maybe I'll take a pic of my stats to show how I'm doing so far.

 

Anyone want to team up for shield of Arrav and eventually Hero's Quest?

LMAO that's the first quest I remember doing in classic suicide runs and failing to extract the ore <3:

I'm black arm, but I don't have the required qp yet :)

RSC is a pretty nice change from modern RS. I finally get to see what old school players used to play :P

 

But training skills is kind of frustrating, especially firemaking, and I can't afk :(

 

But RSC is much funner than I anticipated it would be.

yeah, i'm totally enjoying this. i started from scratch on the 11th and i'm up to like 220overall, with almost 40 mining, 40 fishing, 35 cooking, and 28 smithing. i'm currently mining more ore so i can make full iron sets to sell, or just to sell stuff to the shops, then once i get those a bit more stable as far as income, i'll do combat.

My first impression:

 

Fish from fishing spot.

Fail to catch fish.

Repeat 10 times.

GAAAHIHATEYOU

Fish from fishing spot.

Catch fish.

Rinse, and repeat.

 

Now I have level 17 smithing, 25 mining, and have started to warm up to it. 85 total, 5 CB. 1.9K thus far.

is anyone else feeling like jagex does not want people to know about this? It was already posted as a "minor" news post and it left the front page in like 3(?) days. I really wish more people knew about it so more people would continue playing it. I am planning on sticking with it for quite some time since i recently got bored of rs2 and I am saddened by the lack of people on many servers.

 

Anyone interested in making W9 the un-official tip.it world? It's half of w99 and it would be great to be able to meet more tip.it people playing classic

I'm currently sticking with it - reckon I probably will continue with this for quite a while. I had plans in the making for a self-sufficient character on RS2 before this was re-released, now that it is I reckon I'll just focus on RSC instead as it's largely self-sufficiency! :^_^:

 

I'll add that i'm 0x3E in RSC, currently Smithing & Mining. Should find me around East-Varrock right now but i'll be moving to Coal soon! :)

Me and my friend played catching earlier today..

 

Something is very wrong because not one of us could catch a simple straight run, even if we were 1 square away.

Its actually harder to catch when you are 1 sq behind. The preferred distance is 2 sq's.

I think Jagex (correctly) feels that most players really don't have much interest in it. Unless you're an older player for whom it holds nostalgic interest, it doesn't really have a lot of appeal, IMO.

I only had very tiny memory of RSC, I started really playing 1-2 years in RS2. But now I fell in love with RSC's free trade, stake, PKing and luring <3
