There's one thing I find quite curious. I've been soloing a lot of dungeons at complexity 6, It's quite funny though how it always spawns me some sort of mage clothing. I'm interested in how it knows I want to mage. Is it because of the staff/runes I have bound? Or does it calculate the most predominantly used combat skill? It might just be chance, but it's pretty curious imo.

 

 

I don't know, I keep getting ranged and magic equipment, even though I'm using almost solely melee. I do have some arrows bound so that could explain ranged, but not magic.

A quick question regarding leveling this skill quicker. Do you get more exp if you kill all the monsters in the rooms or if you just skip over them will you get the same experience?

 

 

Your xp is only based on the floor, the prestige, and those other modifiers you see at the end. You can leave every monster minus the boss and gain the same xp. So don't feel the need to waste your time killing all monsters.

Acctually Anonymouse showed us this. This is a quote from the kb, yes it does affect your xp.

 

 

 

"A similar principle applies to the Points Mod multiplier. The size of this positive multiplier is initially determined by your combat level and skill total, but it is reduced for each creature you leave undefeated at the end of a dungeon, up to a negative multiplier of -25%! If you and your team have enough food, weapons and armour to defeat all remaining monsters at the end of a dungeon, it is often worth backtracking to kill them. "

System Update...

 

This update should fix some of the crashes players have been experiencing in Standard Detail mode.

 

Weve also made the dragon bones from Dungeoneering f2p items so thats a nice little bonus.

There are several other minor fixes and tweaks to Dungeoneering including a change to the experience obtained from Runecrafting and also the orb of oculus is no longer destroyed every time you leave a dungeon.

Step in the right direction tbh, specific stuff like this should be given to f2p in the dungeon.

Wonder what they mean about a change to the Runecrafting xp. I was having fun leveling quickly on my pure <_<

Doubt it, tbh.

 

It'll go down to 1xp per 10 instead of 10xp per 10.

 

If they DO increase the exp I'd be surprised but pleased.

The RC xp was 30k an hour with no profits. Don't quite understand the nerf.

If you're on floor 9, your prestige should be rank 9.

 

If you "reset", your saved prestige is 9.

 

This means if you do floor 1, your prestige will still be 9 and you will get the XP bonus from it.

 

Once you complete floor 10, your prestige will have increased to prestiege 10 because it's more floors than you completed before you reset.

Yes, you reset and do floors 1-9 again. Only do each floor once though or you're wasting your time. Since you've completed floor 9 already when you reset your Prestige will be saved at level 9. So when you do floor one after the reset you'll get a Prestige bonus equal to level 9 Prestige vs. level 1 prestige (which is what you have when you very first start out, before completing any floors). Additionally you only get the, in this case, level 9 Prestige bonus on each floor ONCE per reset, so doing the same floor more than once after resetting is a waste, as you'll only get the Prestige bonus once.

 

 

EXAMPLE: You are JUST starting, you have no progress on any floors or Complexity. Your Prestige level bonus is 0. You complete floor one, so your Prestige now raises to level 1 bonus. You complete level 2, so your Prestige raised to level 2 bonus, etc. Let's say you complete floors 1-10. So once you complete floor 10 your Prestige level bonus will now be level 10 (since you completed 10 floors). So if you hit the RESET button (located at the bottom of the Party Interface of the Dungeoneering Ring given to you by the Dungeoneering Tutor) your Prestige will be saved at, in this case, level 10 bonus. So if you are to do floor 1 again your Prestige bonus will now be at level 10 bonus for floor one (vs level 1 bonus for floor one like it was on your first trip), since you completed floors 1-10 earlier and reset.

 

However if you were to get your Prestige to level 10 bonus then try and do any floor more than once per reset you would only receive the Prestige bonus ONCE. As it will only work for your FIRST run through each floor, for each time you reset. Repeating a floor more than once per reset will NOT give you the Prestige bonus, of any kind.

 

NOTE: If you complete, for example, floors 1-10, then reset your Prestige will be level 10. If you were to complete more floors and reset BEFORE complete AT LEAST floor 10 your level 10 Prestige bonus will be overrode by whatever level floor you reset on the 2nd run.

 

EXAMPLE: You complete floors 1-10; your Prestige is now level 10. You then decide on the next run to only do floors 1-5 and reset; your Prestige is now ONLY level 5.

 

 

 

I hope this helps clear up some of the confusion about Prestige and how it works. I believe this to be an accurate perception of how Prestige works.

I advise against abusing the RC bug because it will be EASY to detect, and you probably WILL get banned.

Reported a bug on Runecrafting in a dungeon after I just got up 5 levels from nature crafting...
