Ermy
+22% melee soak off Ahrim's hood, top and skirt. Beastly   Those with a little bit of knowledge are more dangerous than those with none.
Hammertime
won't wearing armor like robes vs melee actually incur more damage than it actually soaks because of the lower defence stats on the armor?

xpx
Seems VERY strange that spirit shields and dragonfire shield are given no soak at all, or perhaps jagex is compensating for the fact that the chaotic shields suck... Wessan
I honestly cant believe it took Jagex THIS long to allow Duke Horacio to outright give out more anti-dragon shields. Although youve been able to drop get one and pick up for ever anyway. : ) just a thought

Youmu
Runecrafter robes do not give soak of any kind. GF f2p mage. Dg armor also do not soak. They officially still suck. Sylpheed
I'm pretty interested to see how this update is going to affect the price of dclaws. Won't be surprised if they rise past the 33m mark they were settled on before they crashed. This makes chaotic kite an even better substitute for DFS, (albeit without the str bonus) shame that a 200k obby shield has almost the same soaking stats as the chaotic shields though. Mercifull
I dont think the soaking will work on Nomad. He has special attackes that hit you for set amounts and for LP-1 etc. Might be better for his other, regular, attacks though. The near 1 hit kill .. and 20% soaking .. that's ~-150 dmg. But nomads attacks can't be blocked by prayers, so one would assume perhaps damage soaking doesnt touch em either. As its a mage attack, but some sort of special mage attack that ignores prayer and all mage defence, so why shuld soaking be any diff? Shadiochao
Dunno if it's been mentioned yet, but Mod Easty posted this earlier This was actually updated, just missed off of the news post. I'll have a word with our editors to get that added. All_Bogs
And Nomad as well ... The near 1 hit kill .. and 20% soaking .. that's ~-150 dmg.His ultimate attack is probably of an 'uncategorized' (meaning not melee, range nor magic) damage type, so soaking won't affect it. Barihawk
Ok, I don't play much anymore. What armor is that? My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
