Jagex needs to stop using analogies because apparently people are not capable of interpreting what they read.

The community has always extrapolated on everything they say. Remember the "Hold on to your robin hood hats" fiasco?

They could always revert to simply surprising players with their updates instead of a BTS - no wait, that didn't go over very well the last time they tried that... Well, if they were absolutely clear on what they were going to do - no, that's had its way of backfiring too... If they were subtle and leaked images instead - no no, that didn't work either. Dang...

I dunno. Jagex can't win for losing. Maybe the community shouldn't analyze every little thing about an update until the day it's released? Give 'em a break...

I am curious whether jagex will have to bug fix, or if they'll get it right on release, so that the new cape functions for ice strykes.

You have no idea how mad I am about that

Hey genius they WANT discussion about the updates coming.

Questioning what they've said isn't hating Jagex. Maybe you shouldn't use internet forums if you don't like hearing people discuss things.

^ Yeah debating what exactly they mean is a good thing, especially if it makes people aware that something is more ambiguous than they realised so they can avoid being overly disappointed if it turns out to be an analogy rather than an actual in-game happening.

I'm a bit disappointed that my tongue-in-cheek comment had slipped past you. I'm well aware that the community debating the updates (what it is, what it'll be like, etc) is a good thing, however it's often taken to the extreme, and neither Jagex nor anyone else can truly stop that. Hence the remarks about the other past attempts in which Jagex tried to curb overhype.

Now, let me make it clear in case you didn't quite get me the first time:

  • Discussion - okay
  • Speculation - great
  • Debate - sure, why not?
  • Overhype - for the love of God no.

If it is double Jads it actually sounds very easy, if you lure it right you could wall one Jad, killing the other whilst the other is stuck on the wall, look at the 2 360s for example, Jad is what 6X6? so very easy to wall one against the other (With Rapier its very easy to out-hit healers anyway), the final boss I'm sure once the mechanic is figured out it will be a walk in the park unless it does an AOE type attack that hits through prayer, I hope its a little like Gulega prayer switching up to second of attack, and it being able to 1 hit :P

I really don't think anyone has speculated seeing dg boss-like attacks coming from this thing. I would actually like to see some tactic like this incorperated.

Has anyone speculated what we might see for defeating the sunfreet or the bosses difficulty other than the speculation of having a version for people 110+ to defeat? Could we see a fifth version of the standard?

From what we understand the tower was once a warrior fataly wounded by the sunfreet. His brother, the creator of the tower wanted a mind he knew very well, his brothers mind, to watch over the tower. So his brother offered him imortality through servitude as the towers custodian.

Not really, in fight caves (unless I am facing some majorly weird bug) unless 90s/360s/jad are almost completely behind the a rock outcrop they can still attack, not just stuck on a corner like meleers.

You can trap monsters between the wall and another monster. Since Jad is so big, that's fairly easy to do. Jad will only move when you're out of range but standing under him counts as well, so you can 'walk' him to the wall.

I don't even like speculation, because most of the time it is completely wrong and it brings rise to debates and worry over something that usually doesn't happen.

I've always said that the worst bit (read most boring and dreary) about fight caves is the ridiculously easy but incredibly time consuming waves vefore the jad fight. I'm very dissapointed that this new minigame replicates this. Also a bit worried that you will ONLY be able to defeat this boss with the top end gear of which 99.999% of the RuneScape population just cannot afford. I don't even have 1 firecape though so it's not like i'll ever see this minigame anyway.

Free full torva pl0x...

Ya I logged in just because I found this post so illogical and, well, one that takes an asinine stance.

This is like raid gear in WoW. If you don't raid, you don't NEED raid level gear. If you don't already have imbued rings, max stats, etc etc etc then the +4 strength won't help you as much. I spent what, 40+ hours at MA just for +4 strength. This is content that is designed to be tough at first, then get easier as strats and get improve. Its naturally self nerfing. I'm glad at least something in RS would be difficult finally.

I mean, c'mon. Its not even out yet and you think that only 100 people will be able to beat it? (the 00.001%).

Let me say this once again. There is NOTHING in RS that is hard as it is designed to be played. Corp isn't, nex isn't. Sure, if you make it harded by doing it with rune armor or fewer people you make it harder yourself. The content isn't hard. Same thing you can do in WoW. Run a 25 man raid with 20, its gona be harder.

I will agree fight caves design with waves and all is flawed, however. I have no problem with that part of the QQ.

However, I think the fact that you don't have a firecape, either because you havn't tried or couldn't get one (Note, I didn't get one for a while either, I hated caves found too boring for the cape to be worth it) should preclude you from being a person with any merit to their claim in the first place. Sure, you can have an opinion, but logically, its simply not worth as much. My opinion about current events isn't as valued as an analysts, its nothing personal , its simple logic.

I hope they make it into a fully circle room, that way no one will be able to stand-behind something.

I do think however, that 2 Jads (if they can fire at the same time) one doing Magic and the other doing Ranged would be very hard to beat, even with 99 Defence.

Maybe the rock-ring (onyx ring is it?) or whatever it's called might actually have some use there :)
