IF i may make a suggestion... JAGEX: ITS ABOUT TIME YOU BANNED CREDITCARD NUMBERS! then the problem is mostly restricted to f2p, especially since the mains and mules and auto-ers often use the same credit card number to pay for their membership... f2p money making, sorry its so-so worth it, not nearly as fast as p2p so this ALONE makes it a lot less attractive to make more auto-ers... oh and it wouldnt hurt if someone scoured ebay and similar sites for rs items and report the names involved... real world item trading is forbidden... Anyway, they should ban AUTOERS and people who get FREE STUFF from autoers, as in the autoers' main. Not people who play on public computers then lose their accounts due to others autoing. Think how many people get banned on a public computer. In my own school's libraries, I've seen at least 30 people play runescape, and some of them have high level chars (100's). if someone autos there...bye bye everything. And yeah...I played there too once (not banned though, don't think anyone there knows what's autoing :P)

Think how many people get banned on a public computer. Any suggestions? Sure, I bet everyone would love for that to happen. The million dollar question, though, is how is that going to happen. And don't say IP ban because that's been suggested and shot down before.
January 29, 200620 yr 1. that mass didn't mean anything to the autoers and when their mains got banned it wasn't cause of "ip" banning. jagex wouldn't risk banning people with the same ip beccause those people could be playing at a library or something. 2. ask they said on the news that their new 1337 system is so good, well actually it is all propaganda. the creaters of aryan (popular easy to use bot) sold out his own botter. when aryan logs in, it gives you a random uid instead of the same one you would get with the normal rs client. however the creater of aryan got fed up with all the leechers and on the last update made all the uids negative and gave jagex everything on a silver plate. :roll: so if the main got banned, it was because they logged in with aryan. 3. im not an autoer, i just read a lot when training at wildy but this jagex VS botters thing will always be there. one party releases something the other counter-attacks. no one will win but the odds do seem to be better on the botters side.

September 23, 200817 yr Just a reminder of the past :) I would have to say that I'm glad after a year of these new updates that Autoers are pretty much gone. Little did we know that Jagex was preparing for secure trades and the Grand Exchange. Now, we're dealing with price manipulation, but really, what was worse than autoers hording every possible yew tree you could find (and buying out all of the feathers on the F2P world?)

Saw a default character at the fishing guild the other day harpoon fishing for Swordfish, he was about level 30 but had ridiculously erratic behavior. It was fine up until a fishing spot he was using changing from a Swordfish harpoon spot to a Shark harpoon spot, when that happened he kept running to the bank, then back to the fishing spot for about 2 seconds and back to the bank again. It went on for about 5 mins with him just running between the spot and the bank, not catching anything before he just logged out.

Seeing just one isn't proof that 'macroing is coming back', it's still perfectly possible to make one, but it's not profitable and anyone who tries it without making a profit will probably make one and get bored. Heh, I got a bit curious when I saw a post by the legendary Bubsa, but this is a legitimate topic nonetheless. Before Dec 10, autoers were rampant, nowadays you can almost see the vacuums of space around the Yew trees in Varrock. ~ W ~
September 24, 200817 yr What I found most annoying is not the autoers but the fact that Jagex took soooo many steps at such a detriment to the game to end up not actually acheiving anything. If they'd taken away all possible routes of RWT I wouldn't have minded and I would in fact have been grateful, but if they did that and autoers (and thus RWTers) are still thriving then they've failed and made the game worse in the process. :wall: Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!Xbox360 Gamertag = Tintin113
