I dont think itll 1-hit you, from the vids I've seen it actually doesn't get a hit in on you before you kill it, so you should be fine.

Insta-heal looks a bit weak, to be honest. Why heal yourself to full when you can dodge death, or even better, kill the enemy before they even damage you with instakill?

the heal is an area of effect thing that maxes out everybody three squares away from the target in addition to the target themselves

 

this can actually be kind of crazy if used in the right situation

 

this is why i plan to just carry the deck around for a while

Is it worth using ring of wealth when fighting nex, for high tier armor drops or will it likely decrease my chance?

Ring of wealth helps, yes.

 

Pernix boots were 65+M yesterday, so I decided to try my luck on the panic sellers and put in a 52M offer.

 

Checked today and the price of boots was 39M. And of course my offer filled overnight :roll:

Got brews on 2 nex kills, and 400 d'hide on the other one. Killed QBD for the lulz since I was burned from Nex, got Royal Sight.

I will probably choose the dodging death reward as well as one deposit bank box (what I would do with that one I haven't found out yet, but I am sure I will come up with something).

I'm so disappointed I didn't get it :\ really wish I could have my 4 shots at nex.

Got the Nex lore book off someone else kill.

 

My drops were:

 

brews and restores

80 rune ore and 20 blues

80 rune ore and 20 blues

1 rune battleaxe, 1 tooth half and 40 anagogic orts

 

^ last drop was such a troll.

 

 

By the way good money making tip would be to bring summoning pots, yack, scrolls and picking up everyone's brews and restores.

My darts were:

 

40 grimy torstol

Pernix Body

Brews/Restores

2400 Coal

Will do. I think I'm going to use a dart on Har-Aken. I guess I'll take a gamble and get some Corp kills with the rest.

Can you kill Har-Aken with one dart only? Dosen't it have like more "phases", or sumthing? (Never been).

I'm considering using darts there..

the darts kill all phases of nex and of the qbd.. so it should work on har aken (never been myself either)

Word of advice don't use a row at nex. I saw too many people get shit like gems instead of a nex drop

Alright you get a emerald instead of 375 onyx bolts let me know if you'd wished that row was in your bank.

a RoW increases your chances of getting a 'spin' on the rares table, so therefore should be used, as it would increase your chances of gaining a rare drop from Nex, well in theory at least.

It doesn't increase the chance of getting onto the RDT, it just increases the chance of getting something out of landing on the RDT (and not hitting a bone drop).

 

However, Nex, along with a few other monsters with unique drops, have their unique item droprates increased as long as you wear the RoW. That was the whole deal with the RoW bug at Corp.

 

If you were destined for RDT it's not the RoW's fault.

Ahh I thought that the RoW increased your chances of landing on the Rare drop table.

I always assumed it was along the line of the first drop table has a slot on it to access the second table, rare drops, and the RoW increases your chances of landing on that slot (rare drop table)

EDIT: nvm. just did some research on it and Saradomin mage was right, it reduces the number of empty slots on the rare drop table, not increases the chances of accessing the rare drop table.
