Its said presents drop from creatures also, got this info after inspecting present.

 

 

If you have any just inspect it and there will appear a few dialogue options which explain how "collecting presents" work, along with rewards etc.

Haven't had any yet and have been killing abyssal demons with no present drops, that's why I was wondering.

Not had one other than a SoF reward. The official wiki does list it under 'items that are dropped' though. FC I go in someone said they got one firemaking too.

These presents and christmas tree hats have gone mental! Seen the hats going for stupid money already. Naturally got a GE mid offer in just in case.

Any which way, you won't see me on RS unless my profile feed gets severely pounded by people wanting me back on RS. I'm already sick of that piece-of-junk that Jagex made anyway, and I'm not easily letting holiday events drag me back in. :notalk:

This is definitely a step up from recycled penguin hunt d&d's though. Glad to see Jagex returning to there seasonal quest events.

More of a quest than find 5 hidden eggs/ghosts/*random seasonal crap* in 2 hours then repeat 'x' amount of times for a item that is not worth the time or hassle. Granted this isn't on par with previous years quest type events but sure as hell beats hunting D&D styled events.

I don't see why things like monkey nuts or oranges would since they are just items.

But ones like biscuits that are holiday event food would do I'd imagine

For F2p possibly, for P2P the biscuits stacks with the Treasure Trail biscuits so I doubt they will.

Jagex is pretty sneaky. They added microtransactions gradually to get people used to it, so that when they started selling actual useful stuff like these pets, there would be no uproar. I've seen a video and the pets look quite good. The abilties are not bad either:

 

- Once every ten minutes, a adolescent or an adult pet can take a single item to the bank for you. Speak to the pet and you’ll be able to choose which item.

 

- Adult pets will collect items dropped by your foes. You can choose what kinds of things you’re interested in and the pet will frequently check the corpses of your victims for things to bring you.

 

I've always found it super annoying to pick up stuff, so that alone makes the pet very attractive. The banking is a nice bonus. I would never buy it but I'm sure a lot of people will be "Take my money!" for this one.

You need one of each present colour to get the Tree hat. Combining different colours gets you different rewards.

So far all the other presents are going for pretty low, it's only the purple one that's going for anywhere between 30-50M.

 

A present set without the purple one costs anywhere from 500k-900k from what I've seen.
