I'm wondering in this topic about the other aspect of RuneScape. I ask myself the question why I keep playing this game, and I realise over and over again that it's not because of the game itself, but about the people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So what I wanna hear from you is the next thing, are you happy with RuneScape it's quality (can be positive or negative points) and what could be better (please don't say graphics or costumer support, that's becoming boaring)

I dont think you'll find another game like Runescape that you can just go on the website and play...

 

 

 

For most people (who use Broadband/DSL) the game loads really fast...there is no other game like it (IMO).

 

 

 

The storyline is brilliant too...its such a huge game, yet most things are linked very well...

the variety of things i can do....definately NOT the people lol...

I must say that I truely am not happy with the quality of the Runescape community today. It has changed drastically since I started. Its to much to type about, so I will provide you with these links to aspects of Runescape I have written about.

I agree with oreo, the community has gone down hill drastically.

i'm pleased with the large variety of things to do and options, i don't play for the graphics and if anyone isn't playing rs for that, that's a shame. But the community is just non-existant right now as it was about 2-3 years ago.

the community is fine, its just more spread out, you have to look a little harder but good people still exist. If you stick to tip.it everything will be fine :)

Yeah, I find with full screen games, I get bored quickly, whereas with Runescape I can multi-task :P Especially right now since all I'm doing is cooking.

I like being on aim/browsing another site while playing runescape where as if i was playing wow, i couldnt do both. Sadly though the quality of runescape has gone downhill since i started, so many scamers and cheaters. World of warcraft hasnt hit this stage yet, thus why i am playing that more and more.

Yeah, I don't play for the graphics either, I play Runescape for it's gameplay more. Although I am happy that Jagex are slowly updating the graphics. Runescape updates weekly everytime (except for delays), it always gives me something to look forward to.

I love the game and the community; sometimes you just have to accept that there are always going to be jerks, and you have to do your best to work around that. The game is just like the real world, with the greedy people, the slackers, and people who can be nice and be your best friend.

Hell no, I am far from being satisfied with this game. There is no storyline at all if you ask me (except these quests which aren't bonded together), and the gameplay is very monotonous and slow. All other games are pretty much monotonous too, but I don't have to wait for a monster or ore to respawn. The only reason I play this game is due to addiction, nothing else (I can get in contact with RS friends outside the game). I've quit this game since a few weeks back, to find other interests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can't blame, since I'm playing the game for free. The game is fun in one aspect - you can communicate with other online players.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I don't think there is any easy way to improve this game in my opinion, other than that the combat system needs to be more challenging. The player needs to be more engaged in battles, instead of just clicking on a dumb hobgoblin and then switching to a *you know what :ohnoes: * site for 20 seconds and then come back again. Weapons need to be more unique, and not just the same weapons but in different colors.

The reason I play Runescape is its difference from all other MMORPG's I've played. All the others I've played are alike in gameplay, combat, weapons, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Runescape is different because its focus on the many different skills, and the amount of quests and the distinction between the different quests. The graphics are a bummer though.

The community has gone down yes.. but i know i wouldn't subsitute RS now for a single player version LOL, so it cant be all that bad eh? :?

ya ive been playing for a longggg time(had another account before this one) and boy has it changed so much, but besides that i think most people play the game because they can talk to people hang out with people and make new friends. I cant say there has been a good chnage in the communitybut i cant also say there been a totally bad one either :

I am happy with the game itself, but not with a community within the game. :mrgreen:

I played Runescape for around 3-4 years, it was exciting at times, but now I realize how bad the game truely is (mainly because i played Guild Wars and am playing WoW right now). The community is at its worst point in my opinion, theres so much scamming and hate between players its not even fun to play. People also base you by your level which is incredibly stupid, when I log onto Shaunri33 (121 combat) I get respect from the lower level people, but if I was to log onto my range pure (Shaun_Ri33) I would get flames if I even tried to talking to anyone because I would be lower level to them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What Runescape should also add is an end game part to the game, obviously it would be members but only lvl 120+ would be able to do it, whether it be a boss fight or something. And dont tell me King Daggs, KQ, KBD, and Elemental are end game because you can kill those at level 90.

=D> Exactly!! Well said! I feel that too when I play Runescape in school, (nobody except two or three in my school plays it) people just stare at me with a big questionmark. How can you fight a monster without actually controlling your character or even looking at the screen?

heres the thing, does it matter if your happy with the quality? no, jagex has tons of new players comming into the game daily.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

jusst slow down on your playing and go do something, start fights with people... it will make your day alot more interesting.

the only thing I abselutely hate about runescape is its target audience.

Good game, and like the world, full of nice people, mean people, immature people, cheaters and people who complain way too much. I like the game, otherwise I wouldn't be playing. When I am not satisfied with the game, then I'll stop playing. I won't complain, just be done...and that's advice a lot of people could use. :D
