I hope the new armour and weapons require lvl 80 to wield/wear. That would be a good update at least.

I dont like the idea of this. We have slayer so why would we need this? Just add this under slayer skill. As to people saying it will beat con, Con owns! And I plan on getting 93 con after I get this silly fire cape. Died twice this weekend before I could even see jad. Got KOed :evil:

Sounds like it might be a bit bad... How long is it since construction? 4 months, that sounds like it's be rushed. Think of all the other updates, and they've been doing this. They have either cut corners, worked secretly on constructioon and hunting or worked hard, let's hope they aren't lazy. :P

If you do not know Jagex do not simply do one update after another, they plan. They have numourous teams on projects so they could have been doing this before construction was released and it was definatly planned before that.

How can you possibly have an opinion about the skill, when noone knows how its gonna be exactly?

Hunting sounds cool. I mean, chompy HUNTING is in the game. And I love that :D , 70 hunting here I come... when I get members again..

Updates take quite a long time for Jagex to make. They usually take around 4-5 months to make. This includes planning, developing, programming, testing, etc.

 

 

 

Most people think that making updates is quick for Jagex, but it's really not.

I really hope you can hunt animals for new pets. It would be cool to have a fox following after you. :P

Don't judge the skill if you havn't tried it!

And also, whats the point in saying oh i bet its been rushed etc when we have no idea how long its been in production and who in the Jagex team have been working on it. They most probably had two different teams working on seperate skills.

It sounds cool and all, but really, is slaying cows and squirells fun? some noobs like "0mG iSt t3H sQuir3l" really... slaying beras, wolves, deer,

Now I think of it, they've not too long ago put Squirells and Raccoons north of Falador. Can I see a connection? :P

When I started, 1000 was the average total of a lvl 75, soon it'll be like 1100 :P And yes, I believe there will be a new, good weapon you can get, Abyssal spear? :ohnoes:

I doubt that Hunting is even remotely as complicated as Construction, so I don't think that Jagex would've needed as much time to write and test it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think that the new skill has potential. It could be very good. I suspect they've made it more than just a Slayer for little animals.

i agree with many here that hunting next to the slayerskill seems a little farfetched, but let's wait and see first before judging..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However, another new skill quite soon after construction raises the question (for me): why is Jagex not putting more energy in improving some existing skills?

 

 

 

Just again something new in rs while there is (according to the many, many threads on all relevant forums) so much to complain about existing skills like farming, runecrafting and smithing..

I hope it ties in with farming to make both skills more exciting.

Farming: Growing crops

 

 

 

Hunting: Trapping animals for food and resources

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I use to live on a farm, and I have to tell you that farming isn't just growing crops, it's also about keeping animals for their resources. Sheep have wool, cows make milk (and a lot of dung lol)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, maybe we will be able to use hunting for farming. In which case farming would be more intresting.
