So I'm wondering.. When are YOU going to start hunting?

Featured Replies

I know my topic is pretty vague, do I'm going toask you plain and simple.

Anyone who has tryed hunting (or "Huntering") knows that there are thousands of people trying to catch that bird, lure that beast, or swipe at that butterfly, and anyone who has tried it would say to themselves

"WTF this is stupid! I can't even catch a bird!!!"

It is far too crowded to hunt, anywhere, unless you stay up late night and hope to find a lizard spot empty of people. (That is my goal)

So, when are you going to start hunting hardcore? I know I'm not untill the rush dies down. With construction, there was no competition, other then for trees, but many people could get logs from one tree, unlike hunting. When farming came out, we had one month to collect seeds, and there was no competition when actually farming.

BUT! With hunting, there are LIMITED spawns of prey! If there are 40 people crowded around a area with 3 birds, do you relize how long it wil take for all 40 of those people to get 1 bird? A long time!

Lizards (The best hunting xp thus far) are crowded bryone reason! There are a limited number of areas where you can lay nets, and many people! The worst part is that only ONE PERSON can use a netting area!

Now, when are you going to truly hunt with joy, hunt without a fear of looseing your spot, hunt without fighting others for xp?

I'm going to wait a few weeks untill everyone gives up!

I'm sure plenty of people are annoyed by my "I've quit" comments (I'm trying to tone them down, but in Runescape discussions it's bound to creep out in some of my posts), but my answer is never.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Most people log off after you take their spot a few times (ouch). But if there is only one person at lizards with you, you can usually get 2/4 spots and they get the other 2. And since I have 59 now, there are barely ever people at reds.

Hey! You took my spot like 3 times lol :( I'm Jesselitton, I saw you quite a few times near Swamp Lizards

as soon as i get 91 rcing. A week or 2

After 99 agility hopefully before Jan.

645th to 99 Agility.

I'm always up for a good chat, feel free to pm.

I think I'll wait for early December like the news update said Juna would be giving tears xp again. I hate competing with people for resources, so this isn't exactly my kind of skill right now. I have a feeling those areas won't die down for a long time though. I'll just get to the mid 30s or 40s with tears, and higher than that the spots will probably be less crowded.

(Plus I have a Wii now so my weekly on hour log-on's been reduced to like 10 minutes of rs a week)

After I get 70 Range (64 at the moment).

when i feel like it  . i also have stuff i've been wanting to do for ages, since i just got my whip a week ago <3: . so no hunting for now.

and i'm not going to stress myself getting xp in it just because it's there and it's new. I play the game for some enjoyment, doncha know?

hehe same here, training at falconry, 60 atm, going for 71 i think.

If I get to the spot and there are already people, I just hop to another world.

If i'm already there and someone just takes a spot/target that resets itself(deadfalls, pitfalls, netting), I simply tell them "Don't steal."(with all the punctuation).

But started? A few days ago to be honest, and don't be afraid to hop worlds.

Already started, catching up to Zez \'

When they make is useful.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Hunting is already useful! Black Salamanders own everything, Imps can let you kill things like blue dragons without banking, Gloves of Silence for theiving, and Spottier capes for everyday use!

So I guess I'm not alone in waiting untill ToG gives hunting xp.. It will probally be a week or so after the hunting quest comes out, so people with max qp cant just get lkv 30ish hunter really fast..

Hunt spots are already empty.

Once you get to level 15, net Ruby Harvest butterflies to get 25 (takes less than 45 minutes), then for 25 to 29 the blue ice butterflies. This takes maybe 30 minutes. Then Swamp Lizards till the Orange lizards.

It takes no time at all... seriously...

This time yesterday I was level 14.. it takes no time.

Erm, about 3 days ago actually...
