  1. Woo tif is back at last. This new design is going to get some getting used to. Pity that we lost 3 months though.
  2. Gum

    Will H posted a topic in Off-Topic
We have a different punishment for getting caught chewing gum: a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã1 fine. It's not very smart because the parents end up paying and there's so much admin for the teachers (they have to fill in a form to hand in somewhere and then give a copy to you, which you have to get signed by the secretary to confirm you've paid, and then someone has to check on the lists for anybody who hasn't paid, then they have to catch you up and the cycle begins again...) that they generally just warn you, even if you get caught in consecutive classes. For those reasons, loads of the people at my school chew gum all the time. But I don't do it because it distracts me, unlike some people for whom (they claim) chewing gum helps them concentrate. Meh, whatever floats their boat.
  3. Hmm, it seems like a small insignificant update at the moment, but it may be used later for, say, a quest or something. A fruit tree patch is always welcome (despite the fact that I can't use them, I'm not a fan or farming), but I'm not so sure about whether it's position eliminates it's usefulness or not. You can tell I'm a farming noob.
  4. Firstly, I'm pretty sure that the majority of players found the inevitable interface update very useful. You can see your prayer level and everything. At least, I think it's wonderful. Erm... what does everyone think? RuneScape is not cheap. It's a bargain. You fail to understand that this is a great strength of this game and needs no fixing. The RWTing update was necessary for the game to survive. Also, the membership price is probably the cheapest Jagex can go to keep the game running at its best. Society is a problem in the game that needs fixing, but reducing the price will only increase the problem as more underage players can afford it. Basically, you are suggesting that we take a sledgehammer to Runescape. Hang on. Woah woah woah. You are acting exactly how someone who runs bots would act. Interface back to how it was before... price reduction... seems rather convenient for a botter, don't you think?
  5. Just a little correction to the first post, they are known as Abyssal charms, not Obsidian charms. Oh, and they aren't Obsidian monsters either. Basically, replace Obsidian with Abyssal. I can't help you with drop rates at the moment, currently ftp, sorry!
  6. ...is this a problem? It was probably the case that some of your punishments were discovered to be not committed by you yourself personally, but by a hacker. When you don't know the full story it looks strange, but there's probably a good reason. Care to post a screenie?
  7. It's the whole xp/money ratio thing. However, I think that it's important to remember that the strongest player of the lot is the person who buys the good equipment first, then uses his increased drop rate to invest in some potions, and then invest in summoning. Use all of them at once! Uber Equipment + Uber Potions + Uber Summon = Uber Ownage. Oh, and I think that once you get to the point of having a whip, it's much more cost efficient to get a good summoning level than investing in an expensive Godsword.
  8. Damn, these pets are awesome. Only one more day until I get ptp...!
  9. Nobody likes scrolling, but I'm not sure that tabbing would make it any easier. This is quite a puzzle: How do you contain something that is always increasing in size? This is going to be something that will need to be seriously addressed. I don't think that shrinking the 'skillblocks' would solve the problem in the long term either, we won't be able to read them in the end. Argh... this is a sticky situation Jagex has got themselves into.
  10. Erm, clarify how, exactly? The whole 'make loads of pouches' idea was a player made myth. Nobody can accurately predict thought processes for people they don't know much about. It's nice that they decided to make this even more profitable, so be happy!
  11. Good point. Using thieving would be a good idea. But I don't think that we should limit it there. Put the charms in nests and chests. Find them in nets. Y'know, a wonderful new method of making charms, pouches and spirit shards yourself would be most welcome.
  12. Although that it does sound that actually summoning the creature should give the main xp, I can't agree with the reusable pouches. I think summoning was meant to be a bit harder than that. I know that it's tough getting shards and all, but that's what you have to live with. We ain't nerfing this beauty.
  13. Yikes! You've caught a monster bug there.
  14. I doubt that you have calculated the best way to summon, and if you have, it means that Summoning was meant to be a slightly difficult skill. Plus, a third of the skill hasn't been released yet.
  15. It's quite a good little jingle really. It seems to be a medley of different songs, not just a single song, one follows the other. There's probably a reason behind it... maybe each part was made by a different member of the music department and they just put them together? I personally really like it, and the good thing is that they save it as part of the music list. Like Scape Hunter, and GroundScape, it's probably under Scape Summon or something. Grr, I want this week to end so my exams are over so I can get summoning!
  16. I would like some more flexible camera controls, and a sky is most welcome.
  17. I might do that to be honest, they cost "surprisingly" 122K now. So would it be dumb if i alched? It would probably be dumb, yeah. What's the price on the GE like? Or is another ridiculous one?
  18. Exactly. This is a bit of a drop, but the population was much smaller a few years ago.
  19. I believe that it's common courtesy to bless gravestones if you can, but it's common courtesy, not a requirement. If I died and someone blessed my gravestone and I wouldn't have got my items back if it wasn't for the kind stranger, I would try to reward him/her depending on the items that were saved, but only if I was sure that it was him/her who saved me (ie s/he was the only person around). That doesn't mean though that I expect them to bless my grave though.
  20. Sounds like a good idea. The reason not to enchant them is that they become untradable if you do. No idea why. Is that just sapphire bolts that become untradeable? because I sell mith/emerald tip enchanted bolts all the time on the GE. Oh, are they tradable now? Maybe they changed them with the crossbow update... You can tell I never trained range in a long time...

Hmm, it depends. If you seem to get along with something as low as rune legs (I get along with rune legs), sell it. Use the money and treat yourself for getting your hands on a pair of d legs. I can't give you any advice on what to buy with the money because I don't know what you really need, be it a skill or an item...
  22. Sounds like a good idea. The reason not to enchant them is that they become untradable if you do. No idea why.
  23. I don't think that armour stands can be flatpacked... so no, sorry. I think that the armour stand is supposed to be a symbol of self achievement. It's the same idea as the castlewars armour.
  24. I think that it depends how often you actually are going to be using it for combat. If it's all the time, get Bandos because high hits is always a good impression. However, if you're going to be walking around doing other stuff in it, get Dragon because of it's good looks. I don't think that Bandos was designed with looks in mind, if you think about the nature of Bandos himself, plus his minions. General Graardor isn't exactly handsome...
  25. It's just you. Barrows degrades during combat.
