  1. No kidding. If you want to approach it from that angle, NorthernHero, where did the cycle begin? At some point the flower is planted, so who/what "planted" our universe?
  2. Science can not prove anything. This is the undeniable truth. You can get close by forming theories and testing them, but you have to take that final jump in the faith that your theory is correct. It is the same with religion; it's all about your beliefs in the end. Obviously many people have forgotten this. You need not separate science and religion though; I have theories that combine every seemingly sound scientific belief and exact words from the Bible. I haven't enough information on most other religions to debate those yet though. If you'd like to talk about this, private message me in-game please. I prefer a real-time conversation so I can answer questions more efficiently.
  3. The claws seem worthless to me, but I digress. Jagex can not place what they consider to be a reasonable price on a new item. They have no way to tell how well it will be recieved by the general population because they do not have perfect knowledge. To establish an item at a price set so high that nobody will purchase it through the Grand Exchange would effectively ruin the said item for a goodly amount of time. Remember how hard it was to sell party hats in the Grand Exchange not so long ago? It's basic economics; I think Jagex has been doing a great job thus far.
  4. So many of my friends were upset by the lack of Santa hat in the reward. Their belief that we would get a Santa hat is far more upsetting than merchers to me. :wall: I don't merchant, because the sheer amount of money thrown around in that trade lessens the gaming experience for me, but I would've bought as many hats as possible before the event as well. I see no wrongdoing on their part. My advice to you is to stay of the RSOF at all costs. The ignorance that prevails there is staggering.
  5. If I understood you properly, then you recommend that I find the median player on the high-score list, not the average overall member, then ask him how much money he makes an hour? I'm so confused.
  6. Yes to opportunity costs, those are extremely important in a game like RuneScape. I do question your money-making method though, since "the average player" does not have 90+ range. I'm still waiting for someone to explain how "the average player" goes about making 500k an hour. :|
  7. How can you tell us that xp counts as money, then not tell us at what value you put each skill's xp? Also, I have a rather decent character (though some may disagree) but even counting xp as cash, my rate is nowhere near 500k/hour. At least reduce it down to 400k an hour, though I'd prefer even further, a sum that will be more applicable to the general population.
  8. Dragon armor should've died long ago in my opinion. I hope they don't add to the set anymore.
  9. I spent a fair amount of time alching in the Rouges' Den, and got to know some of the people cooking there quite well. After several days chatting with them, I finally asked, "Why don't you guys wear a chef's hat while cooking? I thought the 15% bonus would be helpful." Suddenly everybody is either wearing or trying to buy a chef's hat. That was one of my better ones; I may write some more later.
  10. You need a "hyt" I think. You wouldn't believe how many conversations I've started with that word. I see no reason to change it; it's short and effective.
  11. Raising the Hitpoint cap to 150 would be insane. Then they'd have to introduce even higher-hitting weapons, and having level 99s in melee would be a total joke. There are loads of people who have caped already; let's leave what they've done as an achievement.

This probably belongs in Help and Advice, but I'll answer the questions. 1. Yes, the higher your level the more resistant you are to magical attacks. 2. Yes, the higher the magic level, the better. 3. If you mean counter as in blocking the spell, no. Nobody is immune to magical attacks. However, if you mean counter as in having a better chance of surviving, then see answer 1.
  13. I wholeheartedly agree. Nobody wants to read a post, especially a long one, that is written in random colors. The spelling and grammar on here are atrocious as well. I considered creating a rant about these issues earlier today, but decided against it. Thanks for picking up my slack. :
  14. I wear whatever looks nicest. I even base my combat equipment off the best look, whether it reduces my potential stats or not. :

To call Magic underpowered is ignorance of the highest degree. fenrir321 already demonstrated a highly effective way to use Magic in player versus player situations. I also recommend that you do not try to disprove compfreak847. I've yet to see a time where he has been wrong; he has the knowledge and experience to win every debate.
  16. I could hardly even understand you. Grammar, you should get some. The sheer number of ellipses is staggering. I'm very close to starting a rant about ranters. Player Killing is fine. My personal belief is that it shouldn't even be a part of the game, but your type brought about its reinstatement. Though I don't destroy the aspirations of players with sub-par intelligence by taking their items from them (Surely I have no bias? : ), there is nothing wrong with the current system. You can plead to bring "old rs" back, but the truth is that it's not plausible. Jagex abandoned the three-round rule before, so they are very unlikely to bring it back into effect. Adding higher-hitting weapons would destroy the game. We have ways to one-hit players now; just imagine if that occurred on a regular basis. Player Killing would invalidate anything but Attack and Strength, and people would reach the combat maximums much too quickly via normal training methods. Conclusion: This is a sorry excuse for a rant. At least provide viable ways of how the situation, were there one, could be corrected in an efficient and globally-pleasing manner. If this is not possible, I encourage you to quit RuneScape; it's probably not the proper game choice for you.
  17. It's a crummy reward. No girl wants to look fat and jolly. :(
  18. Nothing is more pathetic to me than a RuneScape video. Watching somebody stumble through their typing with the poorest of grammar is certainly not my idea of fun. Screenshots are infinitely superior.
  19. After three years of playing, my ignore list is maxed out and I have only 6 friends. -What type of person will you add? I only add people who share similar views as myself. That depends on the topic, be it religion, politics, etc. -How long will you need to talk to them before you add them? I only have two lengths, short conversations, and long. Short is defined as under a minute, whereas long tends to last at least twenty minutes. I only add after a long conversation. -What type of person would you decline a friendship with? People who are rude, obnoxious, say "wtf" more than twice a minute, wear the Keldagrim clothing, ask after a trade, ask for help via pm, tell me that I have no life or am a noob, uninteresting, gangsta, ask me out on a RuneScape date, and the list goes on and on. The game is filled with people, but very few are worth conversing with. -How would you break the news to them? My favorite line is, "I'm alching tonight, so my private chat is off." This is effective since I generally have it set to friends. -What would make you take someone off your friends list... I delete them when they become boring, inactive, or boorish. -...or even add them to the ignore list? I only add spammers to my ignore list, but I've met the limit already.
  20. I loved the thrills of trading, and always ended up on the down side of a trade, which was great because I've learned so much from my experiences. However, I do not mind the direction that RuneScape has turned; it's bettering the community. The game is hardly dead, it's thriving with a larger player base than ever before. Creating topics with Shock Names is a poor way to get attention, maybe you could tone things down a bit.
  21. I suppose you could use those arrows like in F.O.G., but it'd be difficult to keep the average RuneScape player on task long enough to finish the hunt anyway, eh?
  22. I was kidding. :| Of course he's dead after 2,700 years.
  23. And look where that got the guy. He's dead!
  24. Pio, I've never seen anything from you with such impeccable grammar. Huzzah! =D> Oh, and you're right, let's move on from this.
  25. FireFox all the way, and I lol-ed that Opera has 19 votes. I didn't know anyone actually uses it.
