TeeBeaun
I would rather have seen a death alter shortcut, there is no feasable way into that one other than abbys. However, I dont really care either way. This is just a small update getting ready for next month I'm sure. And this ring will not drop the price of the seers, the Lunar ring was already out and is almost identical. I like the RC xp though, 8k isnt bad. Kill_Thomas9
My opinion: Good quest. Bad reward. (aside from the ring.)
kdb148
So from all the general grumpiness in this thread, I'm guessing the shortcut, just isn't short enough to open up a profitable dueling ring/balloon route for power crafting? I think people should actually test it out. If you are 74+ RCing (and not yet 91) and this shortcut is about the same as the abyss, it could be a useful alternative to crafting nats.. It could also be extremely useful for skill pures who want to train rcing without paying runners, or to anyone who wants to craft quickly without using the abyss. Because if you are level 70-90, the abyss can be a harrowing experience at times. Not to mention, if you happen to be stingy with your cash, it could provide a nice alternative for people who craft their own runes to train mage. All of this, of course, depends on how fast it is. If it is comparable to a run through the abyss, then it sounds pretty good to me. If not, then I agree it's pretty useless. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! Wachtwoord
Has there been any good updates this month? (No, this isn't one.) When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
Arch_Tyrant
Has there been any good updates this month? (No, this isn't one.) The pirate quest toward the begining of this month was actualy pretty good. But I'l have to agree with you these past few months haven't been the best. I really am hoping for something good this April

Marco
First of all, another pointless quest. Chaos runes? A short cut? Why chaos runes? Are we in a need of chaos runes? Who uses chaos runes so much anyway? WHY chaos runes? Why not nature or death runes? With Chaos Gauntlets Chaos, Fire Bolt hits as high as Fire Blast does, saving you around 140gp through buying Chaos runes rather than Death. Apart from the 8k Runecrafting Xp this is a pretty poor quest for any decent Runecrafter.. Short cut... pssshh.. -.-
QueenValerie
I was hoping this new Beacon ring would have fit on the key ring but... of course it does not. Which means another bank space needed for a silly ring.~ :XD: Took me nearly 30 min's to find that dang camp, quest was easy and anything that gives me RC exp I am happy for. : BTW: You can use a chaos tiaria to get into the altar but need a tally to use the wand on the altar. Thanks to the random guy who gave me one and the extra chaos runes I needed much appreciated.
ixfd64
Yeah, I was expecting blood runes, as well as a high-level quest. I guess I was wrong. SirHartlar
Wow you lot are whiners... Maybe Jagex only releasing few and far between updates for higher levels is good? It is an update at least, be thankful for that. :)
Ts_Stormrage
Is noone here seeing the option of a FAST FREE DOUBLE CHAOS company? Chaos runes ARE used, and in somem pretty common spells too: Ice, Blood, Smoke and Shadow Rush and Burst (8 spells) Crumble Undead (in the Temple Trekking minigame its pretty powerfull) That and it can be sold for Tokkul to get yourself a nice onyx gem. This would be used by low-mid lvl people who cant be bothered making chaos runes or the money for it, and would be crafted by lvl 75+ runecrafters for double chaos... I know 1 person who'd be a crafter :) Former Leader of The Tal Shiar Alliance - An Original Tip.it ClanMember of the Wilderness Guardians and Founder of the Silent GuardiansFounder of The Conclave - A Tip.it Clan institutionTip.it Times author (click for all my articles) - When I use the wrong reasons to make the right statement, argue the reason, not the statement.MSSW4 General - Did we kick your ass too?Check us out!==> No seriously, if you like FREE GP, XP and Dung tokens, as well as Community, Opportunity and above all FUN... <==CLICK IT! curmudgeony
With Chaos Gauntlets Chaos, Fire Bolt hits as high as Fire Blast does, saving you around 140gp through buying Chaos runes rather than Death. Exactly! Now I'm not saying this is the rocket ride of exp that leveling dueling rings and fires are, but at least you can sell Chaos runes. Heck, under the right circumstances, Chaos running could catch on.
Lep
Wow you lot are whiners... Maybe Jagex only releasing few and far between updates for higher levels is good? It is an update at least, be thankful for that. :) Thankful for what? Only a few hundred people will even use this update, for the rest of us all Jagex did was implement more lag. For the past 4 years all I've seen them do is implement lag actually...There were maybe, 15? Good updates I can remember. Jagex are unbelievably stupid to make an update like this instead of Blood or Soul Crafting. If the April Behind the Scenes sucks, I will most definately quit. I've been hoping for way too long for them to add high leveled equipment, and was almost positive they would have done it when 2007 started...Apparently not.

I understand many players want Jagex to make more higher level updates, myself wouldn't mind something more challenging to bite my teeth into. However, until they do I think it is demoralising to keep our minds on it. If we concentrate on something else, then we might get a pleasant surprise when Jagex releases an update worthy of the more experienced players. The Dark Lord
Level 35 Runecrafting needed?! Sounds...fun. Look-- Blood/soul runecrafting isn't coming out at a quest. Jagex knows how long it takes. If they input that, everyone will have to get what.. 77 RC to do it? Whatever the number is. Mirr won't have is QP cape anymore :( Or you don't need that high of a level to do it. You just can't use the reward until you get the level. But the quest just opens access to it. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
